Each one of the 140 short term missionaries have a changed life story of God stirring in them to radical living for at least the next year. Inevitably, God uses them to change lives, like Mary shares.

“ ‘I am so thankful to be able to now confess that I believe.’ ”

My heart filled with joy when I heard her pray these words, and I knew if for no other reason than this, if for no other reason than her, my year here in Orlando had been worth it.

It was through God bringing me to join with Cru for one year that I got to share the Gospel with a Japanese girl named Nao and lead her to Christ!

Megan, a new missionary you sent last year to Cleveland Metro, diligently gives essential training and coaching for next year’s Fiji short term missions team. Other teams will be going to Montenegro, closed countries, Ecuador, Slovenia, Rome and other major cities to influence that country’s future leaders. You are making a worldwide difference!!

Jessi and I are amazed that God has chosen to use us for His glory for the last 13 years. Incredible! We can’t wait to be amazed at what God does in/thru us during the next 13 years of being obedient to His calling in our lives. We love devoting the best hours of our days toward reaching every student for Christ by mobilizing the next generation of students. It is so much fun. You make that possible.

It has been an incredible few months. Missionaries are being mobilized to the “frontlines” around the world. Last month, through your partnership, you mobilized 4 staff units! But you may find this incredible and a good return on your investment…

Last year a new Cru missionary, Sam (name changed for security), left for a 10/40 window closed country where 99.9% are unbelievers.

Listen to what he wrote me:

I met a rare believing student, Mike, from out east who told me his story of coming to faith. After declaring his faith in Jesus, he was immediately rejected by family and friends. He told how, when eating lunch with friends, they would learn of his new faith and simply get up and leave him sitting by himself. His older brother would beat him physically. He also said that after he graduates he might not be able to live in the same city as his parents because his father might kill him. Right now he is studying in a small eastern city where he is the only believer at his school.

However, he told me that he believes it is God’s will for him to be there and that he wants to be a light for Jesus on that campus.

*Don’t miss the exclusive “Thank You” video (below) from students in a 10/40 window closed country. You are making a difference through missionaries like Same, to proclaim the Gospel where you’ll most likely never “go.”

Have you ever swam against the current or trusted God in a way that made you feel uncomfortable?

The next generation of global missionaries you are mobilizing are swimming against the societal currents because they believe that it IS worth trusting God for the Great Commission to be fulfilled in their generation. Wouldn’t you agree?

Scott plays an integral role in sending laborers by overseeing the application process of hundreds of male applications each year. In addition to this, he provides development and essential training to Cru staff evaluators. Timothy 2:2 it says, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” It is vital that reliable and qualified men (& women) are being multiplied to further the Gospel progress. On November 15-16th, pray for Scott as he will be leading an Cru evaluator training and that his team would have Godly insight and discernment in accepting new missionaries and their placement.

Over 60 new missionaries gathered last week. Scott, alongside his team, coached and equipped them in order to report to their ministry assignments. Your partnership goes beyond us….it extends to the ends of the earth, every society and every language.

Wouldn’t you like to be introduced to some of them and where you are sending them?

This little guy might be a future linebacker! haha We’ve loved this new addition to our family in and out. Cooper and Nora absolutely love being with him. By God’s grace we have all transitioned well, praise the Lord! Mommy is quite incredible and so Christ-like to be so loving and self-sacrificing of her time. I joke with her (but it is true) that her crime is that she loves our kids too much!

Zeke is waking up about 1x during the evening, on average…so almost getting back to normal. You may remember those days!! Thank you for your prayers as we’ve moved into Zone Defense

“Immediately she decided she wanted to put her faith and hope in Jesus!“

“She heard about what Jesus had done for her, and without hesitating, she wanted to put her hope in the one who had sacrificed everything to be in a relationship with her.“

You, our partners, mobilized a Cru missionary, Adam, a few years ago. He serves at University of Illinois with Bridges (a Cru ministry reaching International students). God has been doing incredible things as a result of your partnership that has extended to Adam. He shared with me what God has been doing in this past month at UofI.

Adam writes,

“We praise the Lord for the ways He blessed us with so many International students, but what about personal stories from that? Our new staff member Emily came here this fall with her husband Brett. On her very first day on campus, Emily meets up with a girl from East Asia who filled out one of the questionnaires. The Lord just simply prepared her heart for that day to hear the greatest news ever. Immediately she decided she wanted to put her faith and hope in Jesus!

Later that week Calen, one of our student leaders, met up with another girl from East Asia. Similar to the story above, she heard about what Jesus had done for her, and without hesitating, she also wanted to put her hope in the one who had sacrificed everything to be in a relationship with her. Praise the Lord for our two new sisters in Christ!“

Take a moment to praise God and pray for Adam’s labor and strength.

Where in Europe do you want to visit? How hard would it be for you to be a follower of Jesus in a spiritually cold place, like Western Europe?

During our partnership together perhaps you’ve wondered, “Where are they now?” Here’s a story!

You sent Amos & Ashley to reach students & refugees in Italy

Scott’s past disciple, said “People don’t mention the word “God” here.” Years ago Scott’s disciple traveled around Europe knocking on the doors of coach’s to introduce himself. Quickly, he found himself on a European team! Although he has encountered significant temptation, his sports career and spiritual journey have been amazing, making him highly influential. Unknowingly, you sent him with the ability to influence teammates, a country and reach Western Europe. If the of this season goes well, he will gain an even greater platform to share his faith. He said, “I’m trying to make everyone a worshipper of God and play for God now.” Pray that he would allow God to use him and that he would communicate his faith in Jesus in a spiritually hostile environment.

Since 2004 when Scott took his first disciple, Amos, to a spring break missions trip he led to Rome, Italy, Amos was never the same! Amos graduated and has been serving with Cru in Rome with a passion to see Italians know Jesus personally. Rome, a worldwide destination and religious epicenter, is a strategic city to reach W. Europe. Amos and Ashley, newlyweds, are returning to Rome to spiritually rescue students and refugees in a unique way. Ashley, who’s taking the Bar Exam this month, will be largely serving refugees/immigrants seeking protection from political persecution. Right now Scott is coaching them to report back to Rome fully funded and fully focused. You are impacting W. European leaders and “the least of these.” Pray for her Bar Exam in 2 weeks and that their remaining 25% of their fundraising.

Here’s Amos sharing about Luca’s changed life:
