But if we will choose to stay focused on the love of God, if we choose to meditate on His goodness, the truth will set us free from fear and ground our hearts in confidence. Today, know that God loves you perfectly. He is a good God. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that His plans for us are for good. He has thoughts of peace, not for evil. He wants to give you a future and hope. Anytime thoughts of fear come, replace them with words of love. Just say, “Thank You, God, for loving me. Thank You for leading me into peace. Thank You for hope for my future.” As you think on His love and goodness, you’ll feel faith rise up in your heart. You’ll feel hope, you’ll feel strength, and you’ll feel empowered to move forward in the good path He has prepared for you. Do you know that God loves you today?

God has given us something to offer them. We have life-giving, refreshing water in us. With our words, we can bring healing. With our words, we can lift them out of depression. With our words, we can tell them, “You’re beautiful. You’re amazing. You’re talented. God has a bright future in front of you.” Those life-giving words will break the chains of depression. They will break the chains of low self-esteem. You can help set people free from the strongholds that are keeping them back. You may not know all that is happening, but God can take one compliment, one encouraging word, and use that to begin the healing process and set that person on a brand new course. And when you help break the chains off of others, any chains that you might have will be broken off, too! Today, choose to speak encouragement. Choose to speak life. Tell others what they can become, give compliments, and live life as a healer. Pour out that life-giving water with your words. What are you speaking to others today?

Not in the natural, but with your spiritual eyes. In other words, what is in the forefront of your mind and in your heart? Are you constantly dwelling on your problems or things that have happened in your past? In the natural, you will move in the direction that your eyes are looking. In the spiritual, it works the same way. Whatever you focus your mind and heart on, you will move toward. That’s why you need to look straight ahead. If you are constantly dwelling on your problems or things in your past, wondering “what if,” then you will stay right where you are. But if you choose to forgive and release the past, then you can focus on what is ahead of you, and you’ll begin to move forward. You don’t need to live in the past. Keep growing and moving forward.  Look straight ahead so you can move forward into the life of victory promised to you. Are you are looking at today?

Have you ever noticed that when you ask someone “Who are you?” a lot of times they’ll say, “I’m a salesman.” “I’m a teacher.” “I’m a coach.” “I’m a teacher.” Many people find their identity in what they do. The problem with this kind of thinking is that people identify themselves with their negative habits and strongholds, too. I hear people say, “I’m an alcoholic; I just can’t beat it.” No, that’s not who you are, that’s what you do. But if you keep thinking that way and talking that way, it will become so ingrained on the inside that you’ll convince yourself that it’s true, and it will keep you from rising higher. One time somebody told me, “Scott, I’m an addict.” He was embarrassed by it. He didn’t want to live that way. I told him what I’m telling you, “That’s not who you are.  It’s time to start acting like you have a destiny to fulfill.” Do you know who you are today?

When the pressure is on, the bills are due, the doctor’s report is not good, kids not acting right, school is tough, that is when you see what you have on the inside and it will be exposed.  When pressure is applied the inner most character will come out. What is in your heart will just jump out of your mouth. You will do and say things you never thought you would when life gets tight. Make sure you are putting the truth inside you every day. Lies and facts will leave you disappointed and looking for more when it’s getting late in the game. When you are so tired you can hardly get back up, what then are you relying on? Last weeks, last year or even yesterday’s stuff won’t keep you today. Everyday put truth in your heart. Refresh and replenish it. Be character ready each day. There will come a time when life hits hard but you will be able to hit back harder and longer with the truth. What is in your heart today?

When we make mistakes in life, there are three main things that we need to do. Number one, ask for forgiveness. Number two, receive God’s mercy. And number three, move forward with your life. Let it go and press ahead. So many people today are still beating themselves down over something they did five years ago. They’ve asked God to forgive them a thousand times, but can’t let it go. They go around living depressed, defeated and feeling unworthy. If that’s you, realize today the price has already been paid. The first time you asked God to forgive you, He forgave you. Now you’ve got to receive God’s mercy and press ahead. That mistake did not change who you are to God. You may have made mistakes today, but still have God’s plan for your life intact. You are still the apple of God’s eye. You are still His most prized possession. God may not be pleased with every action, but He is pleased when you receive His forgiveness by faith. Are you still holding on to past mistakes rather than holding on to your destiny?

When we live in peace and unity, it pleases God. When we love and serve others, putting their needs above our own, we are honoring Him. When we carry each other’s load, we are fulfilling the Golden Rule, which is to love others. What does it mean to carry each other’s load? There are many ways to reach out to people and help shoulder their load of life. Just by giving an encouraging word or smile, you can help lighten the load for someone. When you pray for others in their day of difficulty, you are helping to carry their problems. Maybe there are other ways to help the people around you. Maybe you can pay for someone’s groceries or give someone cash at the gas pump. Anytime you help others and reach out to those in need, scripture says you are directly lending a hand to God Himself. Today, look for ways to lighten the load for the people around you. Be a load lifter. Remember, in what you sow, you shall reap. When you help others, God promises to repay you. He’ll pour out His victory and blessing upon you all the days of your life. Are you being a load lifter today?

I have a friend who has developed several top college quarterbacks who have gone on to play in the NFL. One of his favorite sayings is, “Quarterback is too hard to play hard.” In other words, when someone is doing too much or doing more than his process can handle–and thus is forcing something to happen, as opposed to letting it happen–then it never happens. You name it–marriage, parenting, teaching, stock-brokering–all are too hard to play hard. All you have to do is get your process in front of you and let it happen, not force it to happen. In other words, play easy. Truly successful people have an ease and grace about the–they make it look easy. After you declare your process, “it” should all be “easy does it.”

When the enemy brings hardship into your life, God has a way of taking that experience and turning it around for your advantage. He’ll put the right people in your path, the right opportunities, the right circumstances to move you forward toward your God-given destiny. Today, don’t focus on what’s happened in your past, focus on what God will do in your future. He wants to restore your soul and revive your dreams. Before the worlds were ever formed you were chosen. He didn’t create you to be average. He didn’t create you to barely get by. No, He created you to excel! Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with everything you need to live His abundant life. He has deposited seeds of greatness inside every person. For some people “discipline” is a bad word. However, without discipline you will never experience the life you desire. You will have momentary pleasure, but you will forfeit lasting fulfillment. When you experience the awesomeness of archiving a goal through discipline, it does get easier to discipline yourself in more areas. There are many people that never make the move to discipline themselves and they never have the life they really desire. Those are the people that go through life complaining and making excuses for not achieving. Be a person of discipline today. Start making conscious decisions that will lead you into a disciplined lifestyle. You will have fun, there is far more fun and enjoyment in a life that is disciplined. There is far less regret. To be the best you that you can be, you will need to be around those that have done the same. Surround yourself with people that are successful. You need people in your life that can bring the best out in you. You need to be with people that will stretch you, teach you, mentor you to be your very best. You will be like the inner circle of friends that you keep. So, be sure you keep a process minded group of friends. Then when you have taken your life to the next level, you in turn do it for someone else. Always pay it forward. Be that someone for another person that wants to be their best too. If water were self-worth, then low self-worth would be as if you were walking around holding out a large empty cup to everybody you meet, asking them to pour water into cup to fill it up. The problem is, there is a hole in that cup; the hole is that everybody must approve of you, and when they do, your self-worth goes up, but when they don’t, your “water” pours out. So, no matter what anybody says positive, you need more and more water, the approval addiction. Patch that hole in the cup by telling yourself over and over that you do not need others’ approval to have high personal worth; you tell yourself you have self-worth. Tell yourself until it sticks, until hole is “stopped up.” Have you fixed your self-worth cup?

A lot of the time when people make mistakes, they get down on themselves and think, “If only…” “I should have…” “What if…?” It’s easy to feel like you’ve missed the best plan for your life. That’s when people get discouraged and stop working their process. Understand today, just because you’ve made a mistake or failed in some way, that doesn’t cancel God’s plan. God never disqualifies you. He never says, “Go sit on the sidelines. You’ve blown it too many times. You’ve got too many weaknesses.” No, God always gives you another chance. Some of the great people in the Bible made very poor choices. The apostle Paul started off as a murderer, yet his destiny was bigger than his mistakes. He ended up becoming a great leader and writing over half of the New Testament. What am I saying? Our mistakes, our failures, our poor choices don’t have to keep us from our God-given destiny. With God, it’s not about the way you start in life, it’s about the way you finish. Receive His grace today and embrace the bright future He has in store for you. In life, we all have unfair things that happen to us. We can choose to hold on to the hurt, become bitter and angry, and let it poison our future; or, we can choose to let it go and trust God to make it up to us. You not think that you are able to forgive because someone hurt you so badly. You might say, “Scott, you don’t know how I was raised.” “My ex-spouse caused me a lot of pain.” “This friend betrayed me.” “I just can’t let it go.” But realize, you don’t forgive for their sake; you forgive for your own sake. When you forgive, you are taking away their power to hurt you. But if you hold on to that offense and stay angry, you are only poisoning your own life and disconnecting yourself from God. Forgiveness is like a door on your heart. If you shut the door and refuse to forgive, then God cannot forgive you. But when you open the door and allow forgiveness to flow from you, then His forgiveness can flow into you. Choose to forgive and open the door to receive God’s life, peace and healing today. Showing constant kindness proves your faith in God because not only do you thank Him for what He has done in the past, you thank Him for what He will do in the future. It does seem like some people believe their purpose in life is to hurt others. This is not true, but it feels like it at times. One of, if not our major purpose, in life to help others. You are to serve others in your purpose, with your gift. Many people start out with this intention and do help others by serving them. However, something happens; life happens, and they change. When you get hurt by others, especially when you are trying to help, it has a tendency to make you angry, resentful, and bitter. You have been around these people, you know what I am talking about. I am asking you to make sure you aren’t this person. Take a good look at your live and make sure you have not stopped helping others and started hurting others. I had to do this in my own life, because I had started moving to the dark side. Do an inventory today, check your purpose and the results you are getting. Are you helping or hurting others today?

Many people today don’t realize that the reason they’re not happy, the reason they’re not enjoying life is simply because they’ve trained their minds in the wrong direction. They’ve trained their minds to worry. They’ve trained their minds to complain. They’ve trained their minds to see the negative. Just as you can form these negative mindsets, you can retrain your mind and have a process mindset. I believe one of the main keys to retraining your mind and developing a positive attitude is by learning to get hope and process minded. When you have this mindset, you are focusing on what’s right rather than what’s wrong. The seed of the hope takes root in the good ground of your heart. This doesn’t happen automatically, you have to discipline yourself. You have to make a conscious effort every single day until a good habit is formed. The seeds of discouragement cannot take root in a hope and process focused heart. Neither can bitterness, envy or strife. Do you have hope today?

When I talk to football players, wide receivers in particular, I talk to them about focus. Not just go catch the ball. It’s one thing to tell someone what to do, but it’s another to tell them how to do it. Anyways, when talking to these players about focus, I tell them; “See the ball; catch the ball. Focus on the X and nothing else.” The ‘X’ of the football is where the stitching on each end of the ball comes together. It forms a small X. If they will focus on that, then they have a much better chance of catching the ball. The same goes for you and me in our lives. We have to stay focused on the task at hand. Concentrate on the small things. See a little; see a lot. See a lot; see a little. When you focus on what you are supposed to do and not on the things you have no control over; then you will succeed. There are many, many distractions in your everyday life, so trying to focus on too much is impossible. Keep it small and simple. Focus is attainable for all. Are you focusing on your ‘X’ today?

I always tell my daughter to be careful who you hangout with, be mindful of who your closest friends are. The people we are around will rub off on us. We will be like those that we are around the most. If you are around good people than they will bring the good out in you. If you are around negative people then they will bring the negative out that is in you. Choose which you would rather be. If you want to grow, be positive, hopeful, encouraging; then those are the type people you need to be around. If you rather be in some other way, then find those people and spend time with them. You will be like the people you spend the most time with each day. I try to surround myself with people that are growing, improving, process minded. You may not have a choice in who you are around all the time, you do have the choice when it comes to your inner circle of friends. Choose them wisely. Are you bringing out the best in others today?

When life is coming at you in many directions, you can easily lose your focus. This is where so many people get derailed on their way to success and greatness. It takes practice to stay focused when things are going bad or when they are going really, really good. Either extreme can cause us to get off track. Every day make it a conscious effort to stay focused. Keep your goal and process in your mind, a mental picture of where it is you are wanting to go. Many people start out great, going good, but lose their focus. Games are lost, deals go wrong, friends hurt, because people lose their focus. There are few that take the time to work on their focus each day. That is the distinction between the successful, the winners, the great and all those that gave up when they lost focus. If you stay in the past, you will never reach your destiny. So many people today are trapped in the dungeon of their past. They have been wounded and yet never allowed the wound to heal. Every time you talk to them, they will eventually bring up all their past wounds and hurts. There comes a time when you have to allow wounds to heal, to scar over and them forget about them. The scars can be reminders of our past, but only allow them to be if they are healthy reminders. If you can talk about your past, show your scars in order to help someone heal; then do so. If you don’t get past the past you will stay in the past. Break free today of the past wounds and hurts. Don’t stay in the dungeon any longer. You have the key to the lock, if there is a lock, if there is even a door. You have been there so long, you didn’t realize the lock and door aren’t even there any longer. They only exist in your mind. Get free from that today. Don’t let it hold you back anymore. You are ready to be healed of that wound. You are ready to step into your destiny. People allow the opinions of others to hold them back and water down their dreams. We have to realize, there will always be critics and doubters in your life. One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don’t have to believe in you in order for your dreams to become reality. Other people don’t set the limits for your life — you do. It’s not what others say about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself. It doesn’t matter if other people don’t believe. Their unbelief is not going to keep me from believing in my dreams. When God puts a promise in your heart, it’s not up to other people to bring it to pass, it’s up to you! You don’t need everyone to validate you. You have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps. Know that God sees the hidden treasures inside of you. He wants to bring those treasures out and make your dreams reality. As you get rid of the old, defeated thoughts and replace them with what God says about you, you will remove the limits so you can live the abundant life God has in store for you.

You were created for a specific purpose and reason. There is someone that is needing you to live your destiny because it will directly affect their life today. No one else can do what you were destined to do as good as you. If you feel like your life has no meaning, then today that can change. You have a purpose that is bigger than yourself. You have a role to play and a difference to make. No one was born that does not have a reason. Even if you were considered to be a mistake, make no mistake, God had you in mind before you were born. There are no mistakes in God’s eyes. He has a plan for you like none other. Don’t let anyone talk you into believing you are not valuable. Don’t believe the lies that you have been told about being no good. You are priceless. You have greatness inside of you. There is no better day than today to start painting your masterpiece. Get started in your purpose now. This is the greatest day for you ever! Are you ready to get started today?

When God looks at mankind, He doesn’t see us as different races. He doesn’t see different social standings. He doesn’t see color or creed. God looks past all the superficial things that our culture seems to magnify — what we wear, what we drive and what we look like — and He sees us all the same; not black or white, just His beautiful creation. Not upper class or lower class; just one big family. Sometimes people make the mistake of judging a whole race by a few people. We make sweeping generalizations, and it keeps us from enjoying the people God places in our lives. Today, if you’ve been looking at others through the traditions of the world, why don’t you open the eyes of your heart and see others the way God sees them! We are all here by His design and called according to His purposes. When we see others through His eyes, we can come together in unity and receive the blessing He has prepared for us. There are a lot of people who are successful in this world. They’ve accomplished their goals in the public eye. But being successful isn’t just about what you make happen for yourself, it’s about what you make happen for others. It’s when you realize, “God has blessed me not to just sit on my throne and let everybody see my accomplishments; God has blessed me to be a blessing to others. God has helped me to win so I can help somebody else win.” In other words, it’s when you realize, “God helped me overcome this addiction, now I’m going to go find somebody and help them overcome.” Or, “God has blessed me with a happy family. I’m going to go find a family that’s struggling and help them get back on track.” That’s what being successful is really all about. Look for ways to help others succeed. Reach back and give freely of the talents and abilities you’ve been given. As you do, you’ll rise up higher and live in the fullness of the blessing God has prepared for you. “Never let’um see you sweat.” We have all heard that phrase in one way or another. When you are in a tight spot, a pressure situation, how do you react or respond? Many people fall a part on the inside and out. However, the warrior mentality is to stand strong. Know that you are stronger than anything thrown at you. When you show confidence on the outside it will make you stronger on the inside. When those around you see that you are standing tall, not doubting, not blaming, they too will be inspired. You are a difference maker, a leader, an encourager; those around you want to see you confident. They will feed off your strength. Be the person that God created you to be. Rise to the occasion. I have come to the understanding that there is no such thing as time management. You can’t manage time. Time just keeps on slippin, slippin into the future! We all have the same amount time every day. It is what we do with that time that makes a difference. I have also come to the understanding that if I am not accountable with my time, I will not get much done. If you have trouble getting stuff done during the day, maybe you need to find someone to be keep you accountable. You can have a person or maybe some form of To Do List reminder. I do better when I have someone to ask me the tough questions, “Have you written today?” “Did you file today?” “Did you read today?” “Did you pray today?” Those are the questions that help me stay on track. They help me to get the things I need to get done during the day accomplished. Also, if I am working on a book project; I have my publisher checking in to be sure I am where I need to be on the project. If you are getting behind in your work, find someone to help you be accountable. As we have said before; I will do what is inspected more than what is expected. When you get your focus on the right things you will see good results. When you start focusing on things outside your control you will see a rise in frustration. There are only a few things you can really control without being controlling. You were not designed to control others. You were created with the ability to control yourself. You can control your attitude and perspective. Keep you eyes on the process at hand. Stay focused only on that. When you are frustrated because you have lost your focus nothing will get done. You see people all the time that are all over the place, always upset, always getting on to others, but never getting anything accomplished. They are focusing on things outside of their control.  Take inventory of your gifting and what you have control over in your own life. Stay there with your focus. You will see your life get far more simpler. You will get things done and accomplish more than ever before. Going from busy to productive never felt so good. Far too many people spend their entire live weighted down with guilt and shame. It is so bad that they never get out from under the condemnation of these feelings. They never live the life that God had planned for them to live. When these feelings control your life, you will never be able to live your destiny. Guilt and shame are not positive, life filled, healthy feelings. Rather they are placed on you by the enemy to your life. They are there to keep you bottled up and quiet. However, when you receive forgiveness for your mistakes and sins, then you can break these chains. You can live free of guilt and shame. They don’t have to control you any longer. The truth is you are no longer guilty. The shame is not real it is not who you are. You do have purpose and destiny. You can have a full life. You can hold your head up and make a huge difference in the world today. Have you been living in guilt and shame for way too long?

Life isn’t about how hard you get hit. It’s about how many times you get back up and how hard you’re willing to keep fighting for your dreams.

The best advice that anyone can give you about life is; never give up. I tell people all the time to never give up, no matter how bad it may be right now. If you are striving to be above average and to make a difference with your life; then you are going to have tough times. You are going to get hit hard, but keep getting up. Don’t stop fighting the enemy to your destiny. When it’s all said and done it will be great for you to be able to say; “I fought the good fight.” A good fight is the fight you win. I am excited about your future and your destiny. I believe there are great things in store for you. Don’t give up today, tomorrow could very well be your breakthrough day. If you are down, get back up, don’t stay down. Your dreams are calling you now. Live your life to the fullest. Have you been knocked down and not sure if you will get back up?

If you ever interact with other people you will be hurt, because hurting people hurt people. Most everybody has been hurt, is hurt, or will be hurt. Oftentimes these people will hurt you in an area that you are hurting in. They can tell you are still sore there and go for that place. Then you react to them by hurting them back in the area that they are hurting in too. This vicious cycle continues and goes on and on and on. There is no end to it; unless you decide to step out of this hurt cycle. How do you step out? See past your own pain; recognize their pain; then love and forgive them.  It takes a very secure person to do this. One who desires to be healed and wants to help others heal. This would be the person that take the path less traveled. This is the person that takes forgiveness, love, and mercy to a whole new level. Yeah, I desire to be this person. I am not quite there yet on a consistent basis, but I am getting closer everyday. You too can do this. Make the decision today to see past your own hurts, and see others through the eyes of love, forgiveness, and mercy. Be a giver of grace. Is there someone who is hurting you now? Will you see past your pain in order to love and forgive them?

Your life tells a story, no matter how young or how old yo are today, your life has a story to tell. For some their life story is short, but it is showing where they are heading in life. For others their life story is long and it tells about all the situation, circumstances, good time and bad times they have had in life. But everybody has a story that their life tells. What is your life story all about? Does it tell a sad story or an overcoming story, maybe a story of making the best of what life has dealt. If you don’t like your life story today, then it’s time to rewrite the script. You can’t do anything about the storyline up to this point, but from today forward you can. If your life script is telling the story you want, then keep writing it forward today. The decision is yours today. You are the editor of your life story script. Make it a story of victory, of helping others, making a difference. Your life script should be one that people want to read to be encouraged. Is your life story encouraging others today? Do you need to make some edit changes in your script today?

In order for you to live your destiny then you must love people.  Not just those that are good to you, but even those that don’t treat you nicely. Really, it is especially dependent on you loving those that wrong you. I didn’t say you had to trust them, trust and love aren’t the same thing. You do have to love others though. Not just when you feel like it, but all the time. There can be no conditions on your love. Destiny love is unconditional love. God has a magnificent plan for your life, but it is dependent on you loving folk. God can’t release the power it takes for you to live your destiny if He can’t trust you to love unconditionally. This foundational truth is why so few people ever fulfill the purpose for their life. Remember, your destiny and purpose is not all about you, but rather, it is about others. A person that lives their destiny is one that is selfless and a servant. To be that you must love others without conditions. The moment you start placing limits and conditions on your love is the moment you step out of the plan God has for your life. Walk in God’s love today and walk in your destiny. Are their conditions you have place in your love that need to be removed today?

Not too long ago, I thought that grace and mercy were not good things. I felt like they were for those that didn’t have any discipline in their life. I felt like the weak  and lazy people were the ones always wanting them. I was so religious and prideful to think this way. There is nothing comparable to grace and mercy. Those of us who are striving to do our best and make a difference in the world definitely see the need for a lot of grace and mercy. I also, see that my withholding it from others was so religious of me. I know that the measure that I use to give grace and mercy is the measure that I will be given. I am now a big supporter of grace and mercy. I try to give them away everyday, because I know I will need them each day. The reason for the change in my perspective; love. Love is a major key in grace and mercy. You will not give grace and mercy if you don’t love people. It was only when God’s love began to be the deciding factor in my life did I realize the importance of grace and mercy. The rest is history.  Is there someone in your life that you need to be giving grace and mercy to today? Will you let love be the deciding factor in your life, all areas of your life?

You will have bad days, that’s a given. It’s what you do with them and how you look at them that will make the big difference in your life. You can take the most devastating time of your life and make it your defining moment. The key is the have the right perspective of that moment. You know people that have a negative, sour outlook about life. They took the negative perspective of their defining moment. Then you know others that have a positive, uplifting outlook about life, no matter the situation. These people have taken the positive perspective of their defining moment. The decision is yours in which perspective you take. I encourage you today to take the positive perspective on the moments in your life. It may be difficult to find the positive in a bad time, but when you train yourself to always find the positive, you will have the right perspective. No matter how small or insignificant it may seem, always focus on the positive perspective. You and those around you will be glad you did. Are you going through a difficult situation today that will be your defining moment? Are you taking the positive or negative perspective?

One of my oldest and best friends passed away. Jimmie “Too Tall” Clemons was a man’s man. Carlton lost another great man and leader. Jimmy died from the same thing that my dad, Conrad, died from; esophagus cancer. He and my dad were very close and spent a lot of time together. Before my dad died he and Jimmie would talk for hours. My dad didn’t want Jimmie to live his life with regrets as my dad did. Little did they know that Jimmie would face the same end as my dad, but without the regrets.  See, Jimmie spent his last years, months, and days getting his house in order. He took the time to make things right with God, friends, and family.

The last time Jimmie and I talked, he told me he was looking forward to getting to heaven. He knew he was getting close and knew he would never fight for breath again, never wonder if he would wake up when he went to sleep. He then said that just after he spent some time with Jesus, that he was going to look up my dad and thank him the life lesson that he had given him. Jimmy I sure hope you have seen dad and talked to him.

The irony of this whole thing is this; Jimmie and his wife Patricia had moved into my mom and dad’s home in Carlton. My mom moved to Jackson shortly after my dad past in 2003.

Jimmie, you will be missed. I loved you like a brother. You have left a legacy that I will not ever forget. Thanks for all you poured into my life. Love you Too Tall.

There are times in life that we all get tired; tired of trying to make our business grow, tired of dealing with a sickness, tired of raising difficult children, tired of being lonely, tired of dealing with an addiction. You can even be doing what you love, living in the house of your dreams, raising great children, or working at your dream job. If you’re not careful, you can lose your passion and become tried and want to give up.  When you feel like giving up that is when you have to wait on God and hope in Him. Don’t give up when the finish line, your breakthrough is right around the corner, so close. God promises He will renew your strength. You aren’t supposed to drag through life defeated, depressed, and under the circumstances of life. You’re going to overcome every obstacle, defeating every enemy and accomplishing every God-given dream. Don’t give up today. Stay with it one more day, you will see the finish line. The light at the end of the tunnel isn’t a train, but it’s your victory. Is there a situation that is getting the best of you today? Are you willing to stay in the fight one more day, one more day and one more day?

Who told you that you don’t have what it takes to succeed? Who told you that the best grades you could make in school are C’s not A’s? Who told you that you are not attractive enough to have a personal relationship or talented enough to have a great career? Who told you that your marriage will never last? Who said you will never break that addiction, just learn to live with it? Who told you there was something wrong with you? Who said everything is your fault and no one will ever forgive you? They said; is the biggest lie ever told. Be very careful who you are listening to today. Your life does depend on it. The power of your life is in your words. When people are speaking negative, curse filled, demeaning words to you; get away from them. Get around those that build you up with the truth. Sure, you have weak areas and faults, but they don’t have to define you. Make the changes you need to make, no more excuses for the way you are. You have to speak words of life, truth, encouragement to yourself. There is so much power in words. If you can believe all the negative words, then you have the ability to believe the positive words. Get up from there, you are blessed and favor is with you right now.  Begin speaking up lifting words to others. Is there someone you can speak to right now to build them up? Will you use your words today to be a life speaker to someone?

Staying with the theme from yesterday’s blog; True Love, we can be free from fear. There is no fear in God’s love. In true love there is trust, when we trust we have no fear. When we trust in God and the love that God is, then we can be free from fear. God is not out to hurt you, even when we mess up, He isn’t waiting to bust you in the head. God doesn’t hurt you to teach you stuff. We do that enough to ourselves, then we turn to God and He uses that situation to teach us. All good and perfect gifts come from Him, because of His love. In this we are able to trust Him, because He cares about you. God loves you! No matter where you are, where you been or where you are heading He loves you unconditional. We have been taught so many wrong things about His love that it does make it hard to receive from Him. I have began asking Him to show me His love in ways that I can understand, He already is doing in ways I don’t understand. I want to get a hold of His love and be free from all fear, worry and anxiety. Even when things are going crazy all around me and my family, we are grooving in His love. God loves me! He loves you too!

Many times we want to just write someone off when we think or even know they have made a mistake. However, when you believe the best in that person, look for the good and the positive in them, you will make a difference in their life. It’s easy to just cut someone out of your life when they have messed up, possibly even hurt you, but you aren’t like that. You will look for the good, look for the positive. It’s there, it may be covered up, hidden and hard to find, but it’s there. Don’t give up on them. It may not be easy, but if it were easy everyone would be doing it. Find someone that needs a break. Find that person that is hurting and while they are hurting they are hurting others and show them you do care. Demonstrate that you give them that benefit of the doubt. Let them know that everyone is not against them. Give them room to make a mistake, because we all make them. Cut them enough slack to keep them from getting hurt even more. Is there someone in your life today that needs your benefit? Can you show that person that you aren’t like everyone else? Today is your day to make a difference in their life.

You may have gone through some horrible, unfair, terrible things in your life. How you respond to them makes all the difference. There is hope, restoration and forgiveness available for you and to you today. Your perspective will determine how you respond to what has taken place in your life. You give power to your past, by changing our perspective you can take that power away. That does say that what happened to you wasn’t tragic or unfair but the outcome does not have to be negative. When you turn that situation around then you can use it for your good and to help others. There are other people that are going through what you have already been through. Take that experience that you already have and help them through it. Help someone else so they don’t have to go through all the difficulties that you had to go through. Have you been through an experience in your life that still has you bound up? Can you receive the restoration that is there for you? Then, can you help someone else that is right where you were to overcome that situation?

I talk about this in Embrace Your Destiny. There is nothing wrong with the desire to fit in with those around you. We all want to be accepted and appreciated for who we are. However, when we compromise what we know is true about us in order to fit in; then something is wrong. There is a place for you, a place where you fit perfectly. If you don’t fit in where you are right now, then it may be you are to go somewhere else. Not necessarily to a place where everyone is exactly like you or even totally different from you. You have to find that place where your place is at. You are needed in that place. You will be accepted in your place. You will most certainly be appreciated in your place. When you are in your place, everyday may not be easy, but the days will be easier. When you are in your place, things just seems to fall into place. That is all part of being in your destiny, your place, your purpose. There is no feeling like being in your place. There is no peace, like the peace there is in your place. The joy, hope, and love that are awaiting you in your place will take you farther than you ever thought you could go. Find your place today, start looking right now. It really isn’t that hard to find. Are you in your place today?

Believe the truth. Don’t believe anything else but the truth. Accept nothing else but the truth. “How do I know what is true?” The truth will be the hardest thing to believe most of the time. The truth is what God says about you. “How do I know what God says about me”? Go to His Word and you will see many awesome things He is saying about you. You are more than able. You are awesome. You are wonderful. You are valuable. You are useful. You have purpose. You have a destiny. There is a plan for your life and it’s a wonderful, exciting plan. Don’t for a second feel sorry for yourself. Never accept the invitation to a pity party. Never, never, never believe the lies of the enemy to your soul. Learn the truth, the whole truth and nothing else but the truth; so help you God. Today is a day of truth for you. No more listening and believing those lies about you. Get up, hold your head up, you are a winner, you a victorious person. God is going before you and making a way for you. Especially where and when there seems to be no way. Believe and trust in Him and His course for your life.

They may not do it intentionally, but they’ll tell you what you can’t do and how things won’t work out. They’re quick to remind you of all your impossibilities. Your relatives, co-workers and friends may try to talk you out of your dream, but that’s because God didn’t put that promise in them; He put it in you. You have to remember that other people don’t determine your destiny; God does. He holds your destiny in the palm of His hand. If you will keep believing, God will not only bring it to pass, but He will do more than you can ask or think. Don’t let someone else’s unbelief keep you from believing. Don’t let other people talk you out of your dreams. It’s time to get into agreement with God. He says you are well able. He says you are equipped. He says you are qualified. He says you are anointed, called and appointed to fulfill every dream and desire He’s placed in your heart!
