Help, Speakers and Support for Huntington’s Disease

Come learn and get support through announcements, speakers, and support sections.

This group includes people affected by Huntington’s Disease, individuals at risk of developing the disease, caregivers, family members and others whose lives are affected by HD.

The group is subdivided into sections for caregivers, at-risk and those directly affected. Each group is led by expert facilitators. Speakers like healthcare professionals, legal experts and housing and placement specialists give talks to the group on resources, coping mechanisms, and other topics.

Breastfeeding Support Group (Mercy)

A Scripps lactation consultant/educator is available to offer you practical suggestions and support. Bring your baby and join other mothers for an informal discussion of your breastfeeding concerns.

There is no charge or preregistration required to join a breastfeeding support group.

Improving Movement for Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease

This LSVT- BIG refresher class is designed for people who have completed the initial LSVT BIG protocol for treatment of Parkinson’s-related movement disorders. This class will review, refresh and reinforce all the exercises and treatment strategies that were previously covered. Registration is required.

End-of-life concerns
