Euromasters

The Euromasters are one of Europe's biggest university sports competitions with over 1000 participants from Europe's top business schools. The Euromasters are organised by students of the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management and consist of two days of sports, action and legendary parties. Disciplines are the following:
volleyball, football, basketball, relay race, rowing and cheerleading.

S.C.U.B. is again participating in this amazing sports event in Vallendar near Koblenz.
This year it will take place from Friday the 7th until Sunday the 9th of November. The cost will be of € 80 for each student including transport, accomodation and catering during the event.

Rookie Day

The academic year is starting and the Rookie Day is coming too!! It will take place on the 28th at 2 o'clock in front of the main entrance of the main building of the university. What will happen later, that is a surprise! The 3 best teams will not only win fame, honour and glory, but 3 special prizes too!!

In Brixen the Rookie Day will take place on the 29th.

Girls, please do not wear shoes with heels.

We are waiting for you also in the evening at the party for the celebration of the academic year start at museion. The entry will be free for the Rookies!!

Summer stop

All activities in the gyms, on the pitches and at the swimming pool of Bozen have been stopped. Everyhting will start again in October, the calendar will be updated as soon as possible.

No Volleyball on the 18th of May

On next Monday, the 18th of May, the Volleyball training is cancelled due to a friendly match, that will take place in our gym.

This means that we will play harder on Wednesday! : )

Second Yoga course on Friday

A second Yoga course is starting next week on Friday the 8th from 11 to 12.30 am. It's cost is of € 20 and lasts for 5 lessons. In order to start, we need at least 4 inscriptions (only one is missing at the moment).

Board elections

On the 4th of May at 6 pm there are the ELECTIONS of the new board of SCUB. All SCUB members are invited to the kitchen of F6 (in front of the office) to vote for the candidates. Anybody willing to enter the new board can run for the election. Only prerequisite is the availability until the next elections (so possibly no Erasmus, Bilateral Agreement, long intership and so on).

Don't worry if you have still no experience or you don't know exactly what you could do! The important think is to have new ideas and be ready to learn a new easy task, that will help you in your future career. The outgoing members of the board will teach you all you have to know.

Yoga inscriptions

Yoga will be offered also in this summer semester for 10 lessons. Inscriptions are already open. The course starts tomorrow at 6.30 pm at the 6th floor of the F building (F6). It costs € 20. Membership needed. More details on our Yoga page.

Cancelled trainings on the 22nd and 23rd of April

As told in the last newsletter sent out yesterday, all activities in the gyms of via Cadorna 27 are cancelled for today, Wednesday the 22nd of April, and tomorrow, Thursday the 23rd of April, due to a demonstration. It means that Tai Ji Quan, Volleyball, Basketball and Football won't take place in these two days.

All other activities will take place as usual.

Eastern holidays

Due to Eastern holidays, all activities in the gyms (Volleyball, Basketball, Tai Ji Quan), on the pitches (Football) and at the swimming pool (Swimming, obviously! :) ) of Bolzano won't take place next week. Everything will start again on Tuesday, the 14th of April.

Regarding the others activities not organized directly by SCUB (as Capoeira and Rugby) you should have already been told by the responsible. If not, please contact them per e-mail.

Second semester start

SCUB activities start again for the next semester. Some activities never stopped, some others (Volleyball, Basketball, Football and Swimming) start this week. Weekday and time does not change from last semester. The only difference regards swimming: from today on you can subscribe in our office. Training will be from 6 to 7 pm instead of 7 to 8.

There are some news regarding our trainings. As you might have read on the newsletter sent out yesterday evening, Volleyball training on Wednesday drops out until the end of the semester. Same thing for Basketball (female) on Thursday. Given that we have a free gym on Thusday, Basketball (male) is twice a week: on Wednesdays and Thursdays until the end of the semester.

Bad news for all footballers: next Wednesday there will be no football training due to the snow on the pitches. Unfortunately we have not all nominatives of you players so, please, tell also your friends of this. Today there also won't be any training, too, because it's holiday.

Due to the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on the 8th of December (next Monday) all the gyms will be closed. It means that there won't be any sport activity on that day.

No basketball (female) on the 4th

On Thursday the 4th of Decembre there will be no basketball trainings for the girls due to the Red Bull Paper Wings contest. Please inform also your friends of this. Maybe you'd like to take part to the competition?
