Ouch! As an Instapaper user I am glad that Marco is itemizing all the user data that may now be in the FBI’s hands. Sony, Dropbox, etc. can learn a thing or two from Marco on keeping the customer in the loop.

Back in this post I mentioned I was running this blog on Blogger, for the last month or two I have been using Tumblr instead. After Blogger’s problems this week I am glad I made the switch.

My other site IncisiveGeek still runs on Blogger. I am going to keep the sites using different hosts, I frankly don’t trust the stability of any platform anymore.

I have had my Verizon iPhone for almost 2 months now, today saw the release of the second software update in that time period, and yet again the Verizon iPhone is lingering on the iOS 4.2.x branch while all other iOS devices are on 4.3.x.

Apple squawks about Android fragmentation whenever they can so why don’t they fix their own damn fragmentation!

Last night I was playing around with this site design and really wanted to have a mobile version, after a quick Google search I found that if you go to the Blogger dashboard via draft.blogger.com instead of blogger.com you can turn on a beta feature to show a mobile version to iPhone and Android device’s.

The steps to enable are:
- go to draft.blogger.com
- click the ‘Settings’ link for you blog
- click the link ‘Email & Mobile’
- Under ‘Mobile Template (beta)’ select ‘Yes’ to show mobile template.
- Save settings and view with the mobile preview button or on a mobile device.

I was so close to looking into self hosting using Wordpress just so I could have a mobile version of this site, this find saved me a lot of work and monthly hosting fees.

Horace Dediu over at asymco has the following graphic showing the the rise and fall of mobile platforms, nice.

Of the platforms listed Android is the one I know will last a long while and WebOS is the one I really wish would take off. Eventually Apple will probably screw up iOS by wanting too much control.

I don’t think this is illegal in anyway but it sure makes the Bing team look pathetic. I especially like the trap that Google set to prove their theory.

Honda is using technology gained through the development of ASIMO to make a new type of indoor human transports. This reminds me of the SBU 2.0 by Focus Designs that I linked to last October but designed for fine indoor movements.

Imagine one of these with an attached work surface and laptop, I would not have to leave my desk for most of the day… hmm not sure that is a good thing.
