When we bought our house there was a really cute chandelier in the nursery. Unfortunately the previous owners took it with them so I’ve been in search of one ever since. The problem is they all have those ugly white tubes for the lights. kaarsKoker, which is Dutch for “candle sleeve”, has created a beautiful way to cover those tubes. They come in solids, stripes and other patterns - like skull and bones. The cost is $12-$23.

At the end of September they will close their current location and head to a bigger space in Ballard. In July I wrote about Olivine closing on Ballard Avenue. When the owner of Horseshoe caught wind of this she jumped at the chance to expand her store. The new, larger Horseshoe will open sometime in early October.
