<title><![CDATA[ DFDS Seaways scoops travel Oscar again ]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<!--HEADLINE--><i>October 26, 2009 - </i> DFDS Seaways has captured the Oscar of the travel industry for the third successive year. <!-- END HEADLINE--> At the World Travel Award ceremony in Portugal,  DFDS Seaways was voted Europe’s Leading Long Sea Ferry Operator 2009, the highest accolade within the travel industry.

The star-studded awards ceremony celebrates success in the travel industry with awards that are voted for by over 170,000 travel industry professionals.

DFDS Seaways head of sales Andrew Crowe Said: “This really demonstrates that DFDS Seaways is recognised by the industry to be excelling in the service that we offer our customers, both in terms of the range of products we offer as well as the onboard experience on our cruise ferries."

John Crummie, UK managing director, added: “We are leading the way within the industry for quality ferry operations."  ]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[ Navigator to boost Stena fleet ]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<!--HEADLINE--><i>October 15, 2009 - </i> Stena Line is to introduce a third ship, the Stena Navigator, on its Stranraer-Belfast route next month. <!-- END HEADLINE--> The vessel will cater for both passenger and freight traffic with a capacity of up to 1,500 passengers and up to 280 cars or 50 lorries. 

Stena Navigator will be substantially upgraded and creates an opportunity to introduce a new cruiseferry concept, with substantial passenger areas and expanded free wifi and free movies. 

She joins HSS Stena Voyager and Stena Caledonia allowing Stena Line to make a number of changes to its existing timetable to offer up to 14 crossings on the route each day.

Paul Grant, Stena Line's Stranraer-Belfast route manager, said: "While trading conditions remain challenging, Stena Line is confident about the future and is putting the necessary investment in place to ensure that it can leverage a competitive advantage when the economic upturn arrives. We will announce details of our revised timetable over the next few weeks."

Over the last ten years Stena Line has invested more than &pound;100million in its Northern Corridor route including the opening of a new &pound;37million terminal at Belfast Port in June.
