You won’t win until they start betting against you

She witnessed her friend get hit and killed by a car. On top of that, her parents were getting divorced. Then two more of her friends from school died suddenly. Life was terrifying and confusing. She was only 16.

The girl’s father didn’t know what else to do, so he bought his daughter a motivational set of tapes called How to Be a No-Limit Person.

The girl listened to the tapes. She became meticulous about the information she fed her mind. She soon made a habit of listening to motivational and inspirational CD’s. (Insert eye-rolling from the cynics and gutless here.)

Because she was still in high school, her interests became a running joke amongst her friends and classmates:

“It actually became a joke in high school, because nobody wanted to ride home with me after a party. They would say, ‘[She’s] going to make me listen to that crap.’ Literally, people would be like, ‘Don’t get trapped in [her] car. She’ll make you listen to this totally wackadoodle guy named Wayne Dyer.’”

The jokes from her peers and friends continued, but the girl kept absorbing the best information she could find.

She suspected that there were many things missing from what she was “learning” at school, so she kept seeking out wisdom. She joined the debate team and began to conquer her natural fear of public speaking. After high school she got into a decent college, but left after two years to pursue a legal communications degree at another school. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do…

Maybe become an attorney? The next step was to take the LSAT so she could get into law school. She took the test once, and her score was way too low to get into any decent law school. She studied, took a prep course, and got the same result. Law school wouldn’t be in her future.

Desperate for a job, she auditioned to be Goofy at Disney World. She wasn’t tall enough, they said. She continued undeterred to push for any job she could. The only role Disney offered her was that of ride attendant/greeter. She happily took it. But her happiness was short-lived. The girl was soon met by former classmates. They instantly remembered her and her silly motivational tapes. The memories of their jokes still stung. Running into them as a greeter at Disney World was almost unbearable.

The girl quit after just three months and took a job selling office equipment door to door. It wasn’t glamorous — door to door direct selling is one of the most challenging jobs in the world. On top of that, she was selling expensive fax machines to businesses… not an easy sale.

She was still terrified of public speaking and knew she had to eliminate these fears. She began doing stand-up comedy in the evenings. Every night was the same… she felt like throwing up before going on stage. During the day, she faced countless “no’s”, slammed doors, hung up phones — constant disrespect and derision. At night, while everyone else was relaxing or drinking themselves into oblivion, she was terrorizing herself by forcing herself onstage.

If she was serious about a better life, she knew she was going to have to create it. Instead of getting discouraged, she doubled down on filling her mind with inspiration and visions of what she wanted. She wasn’t sure about what she would create, just that she wanted it to be something that improved the lives of millions. She started searching for “the” idea. She needed something that would pull her out of her current situation. At the same time, she knew what happened when you dared to display ambitions or good ideas around friends and family. So she didn’t tell anyone around her what she was working on… for an entire year. She raised her standards, became wholly focused on improving herself, and refused to let the armchair critics win..

“I knew I wanted my life to be different than it currently was, so I took inventory of my strengths and weaknesses. I recognized that one of my strengths was selling. I really enjoyed it and knew I was good at it.”

“So I said, ‘OK, I want to invent or create a product that I can sell that’s my own and not somebody else’s, and I want it to be something I can sell to millions of people. And I want it to be something that makes people feel good.’ I wrote that specifically in my journal, and I just kept looking for when it was going to show up in my life. I was on high alert.”

Many observers might have laughed at her lofty goal. Why? Perhaps because it’s psychologically painful when we see someone setting standards for themselves that are higher than our own (often non-existent) standards.

After writing those words, THE idea eventually came to her, and she got to work. Word got out that she was working on something… that she had invented something. She devoted nights and weekends to it, skipped parties, and stopped hanging out with those “friends” who were quietly waiting to rationalize away any of her ideas.

It would have been easy to think it was impossible, or that her current situation suggested she couldn’t do it. After all, she was still living at home, had been selling office equipment door to door for seven years, was dating a loser, and only had $5,000 in savings.

She didn’t have a product yet, but she did have THE idea that could become one. Suddenly, she didn’t just have the idea… the idea had her.

She went to law firms and tried to get them to help her patent the idea. One of the attorneys later reflected on the pitch and said,

“I thought when I first met you, that your idea was so bad that I thought you had been sent by Candid Camera.”

Ouch. Any attorney that seemed mildly interested wanted $3,000 — $5,000 to patent her idea. And she wasn’t having that. So she bought a book about patents and trademarks, and wrote her own patent. She cold called the manufacturers who could make her product. They all laughed before saying no.

When she finally had time to rejoin her circle of friends, groups of people would approach her. They’d heard she had invented something. Like crabs in a bucket, they zeroed in on the crab nearing the brim and tried to pull her back down.

“A bunch of people had heard I had invented something and came up to me and said, ‘You know… business is war.’ I just didn’t accept that and I didn’t believe that. I believed that it could be different.”

She needed support and mentorship, so she joined the Young Entrepreneurs Organization. At the time, it was filled with men. They asked her about her business plan and strategies.

She didn’t have a business plan. And as far as strategies, she mentioned that she was using visualization, along with, “asking the universe for help.”

The men were dumbfounded. But instead of just trying to drag her back down in the bucket, they treated her like entertainment.

“They all later admitted to me they were placing bets on how long I would last in the group, and how long my business would last too.”

Thankfully, she was too busy taking action to notice.

She wasn’t moving fast, in fact she was moving quite slow. But as they say in the military, slow is smooth and smooth is fast. She spent three months designing and redesigning the packaging. It took her another year and a half to settle on a name.

By now, several of the people who doubted her were starting to warm up to the idea. Friends and family tried out her product. Through her persistence, she finally got one manufacturer to agree to build her idea after his daughters said they wanted it. Eventually, she got awarded her own patent and trademark for her creation, and closed her first major sale with Neiman Marcus.

She kept visualizing what she wanted every step of the way. After years of effort, her product was ready, complete with bright red packaging and a name that was perfect… SPANX.

Sara Blakely turned her $5,000 of savings into $1 billion over the next several years. She became the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire.

You’ll know you’re on an interesting path when they start betting against you. You won’t find that path until you force yourself out of your comfort zone. How many people listened to Wayne Dyer, or any inspirational tapes, and never took action? Too many too count.

Sara believed that her thoughts and ideas could become self-fulfilling prophecies. She guarded her belief and nurtured her ideas, never allowing them to be killed in the cradle. She held onto whisps of the idea for years. She sought guidance, and even when no one would believe, she kept the faith and put in the work to exorcise her fear and self-doubt.

Let them bet against you. Guard your ideas. Take massive action. Cold call the people you want to connect. Explain your ideas and understand that people will try anything to pick them apart. Set standards for yourself that are high enough to make others wildly uncomfortable around you.

After she was on the cover of Forbes magazine, Sara got a text from those same high school friends who made fun of her for listening to Wayne Dyer.

You don’t need formal credentials. You DO need to guard your ideas and appropriately value them by taking action. Don’t be afraid to confront the fear of failure and public speaking. Take jobs that put you face-to-face with your detractors. Let them think you’re beaten or marginalized. Get good at direct sales and doing almost everything yourself. Fill your mind with messages of empowerment and hope. It’s terrifying when you realize that no one else will do it for you, but this level of objective analysis is a place where few people are brave enough to tread.

If you want something, proclaim it, hold it in your mind, and go get it. There isn’t a better feeling than receiving apologies or confessions (even if they’re half hearted) from those who tried their best to pull you down.

Life and business don’t have to be cutthroat, it doesn’t have to be like war, and you won’t succeed by following the formula that others think is the recipe for success. Your journey is singular, and being an entrepreneur or founder or billionaire doesn’t have to be your goal. The more you take yourself and your ideas seriously, the more your path will become singular.

So let them laugh. Let them bet against you. Let them roll their eyes. And in the meantime, do the work and the things they won’t. They might text you later asking for forgiveness.

How to Teach Yourself to Code

So, you want to become a ninja in the art and science of programming, but you are worried that you don’t have much background experience in this area, and certainly no formal schooling in computer science. That’s OK! In order to become ‘fluent’ in a completely new area like programming, there are a few great tried-and-true approaches that many professional developers follow.

This guidance falls into two categories. First, establish the right mental framework for success; second, execute on specific actions that build long-term mastery.

Without the right approach, spending excessive hours still won’t yield the results you want, as your efforts are less likely to be fully productive (and might even be misdirected). This in turn makes it harder to remain encouraged and high-energy in your quest. So today’s blog (part 1 of a 2-part series) describes techniques that create the best possible mindset to teach yourself programming

1. Think long–term, stay positive

You’ve likely seen perfectly capable people convince themselves that they are not up to a task ahead of them. Don’t fall into this trap! First, put yourself in the right frame of mind with the right expectations. Going ‘from n00b to ninja’ requires a lot of energy, applied consistently over a considerable period of time. Like drips of water that eventually drill through a slab of granite that seemed indestructible, your everyday efforts will move you toward your goal, as long as you dedicate yourself to the long-term outcome.

Maintaining a positive attitude over the long-term is crucial. Don’t kid yourself – mastery won’t happen overnight. That said, each day brings you closer to success, so look for small victories along the way, and use them as encouragement to keep pushing forward.

2. Respect the power of focus

What if you had a “high gear” enabling you to work 3x as fast? We do! It is that state we feel when we focus uninterrupted on a single challenge. Find that zone, and stay there, to stretch time and multiply your progress.

Texting and social media may seem harmless to your focus, but studies show that even tiny interruptions may cost 25 minutes of productive work. Just as you acknowledged that this journey will take time, you should also acknowledge that you have a fixed amount of attention – so be intentional about where you spend it.

Set aside a few times each day to reconnect (perhaps around meals; these are interruptions anyway). Otherwise, unplug from social media; disable email notifications; mute your phone and put it out of view; close other apps and browser tabs.

Apply “distraction-free mode” elsewhere as well. Keep your computer desktop spare and distraction-free, reflecting your new focus. Empty your email inbox before bed, allowing your mind to dream of other things. In your physical workspace, move distractions out of view.

Being intentional about ‘defending your focus’ is particularly important during your quest to conquer a new area.

3. Develop and keep good habits

Developing good work habits early on will serve you throughout your career, so why not start now and make your journey toward mastery as efficient as possible.

Whether a star programmer or a superstar athlete (or both!), you need to keep yourself healthy. If your body hurts after a long computer session, fix your configuration (raise the monitor, lower your keyboard, get a better chair…whatever it takes). During your regularly-scheduled breaks, get some exercise to keep your body moving and your blood flowing. Try not to eat too much junk food (this can be hard; many programmers are consummate snack-junkies). In the end, your body dictates your energy level, so treat it well!

Software engineers create value by making intelligent analysis and wise choices. Your value springs from your mind, so be intentional about staying sharp. Even as you work harder than ever, make sure to get enough sleep! Resist the urge to trade away an hour of sleep for an additional hour of late-night work – focus on quality, not quantity. Give your mind and body the rest they need, so that each hour of work is maximally productive.

4. Find a coach you trust

To get in physical shape, you could just get a gym membership – but your efforts might be unfocused or even counter-productive. A better approach, one that makes best use of your time and effort, would be to work with an expert that keeps you challenged and focused on the right things.

The same is true as you work toward programming mastery. With so many technologies and resources out there, how do you know where to start and what to prioritize? You need a guide to point you in the right direction and keep you working on the right activities. Find a coach who will challenge and accelerate you, someone that understands your situation, commits to your goal and knows how to take you there.

To maximize these benefits, you need to trust and follow the plan. Sometimes it might be a very specific set of focused coding exercises to follow without deviation; other times, it could be “build it again, faster”; sometimes it might be “You already know all the basic ideas; show me how you put them together”. Regardless, the point is this: commit ahead of time to follow where the coach leads you. It shouldn’t be difficult. If your instructor has become a trusted coach, by completely buying in you avoid a lot of potentially wasted energy and time.

5. Love what you do! Do what you love!

We’ve discussed how to prepare yourself for a sustained stretch of hard work. Imagine how great it would feel, if the ‘work’ didn’t seem like work at all? If the target of your ‘quest’ is something that engages your brain and feeds your heart, a positive reinforcement cycle kicks in. Challenges will be less frustrating, and more interesting.

As you become absorbed by your work, even off-hours result in unexpected insights. A level of comfort and second-level understanding naturally develops, fueling your confidence and your ability to integrate new ideas. إذا كانت هذه أول مرة تسمع فيها عن تقنية الـ  Li-Fi فدعنا نخبرك بأنها عبارة عن إحتصار لكلمة Light Fidelity و هي عبارة عن تقنية شبيهة بتقنية الواي فاي المستخدمة حاليا في نقل البيانات حيث أن تقنية الـ Light Fidelity تعمل أيضا على نقل البيانات و ربط الإتصال بشكل لا سلكي بين الأجهزة إلا أن ما يميز تقنية  Li-Fi و ما يجعلها مختلفة هو كونها أسرع بكثير من الواي فاي المستعمل حاليا .
و قد أكد بعض العلماء من هولندا بأن تقنية  Li-Fi أسرع بحوالي 100 مرة من تقنية الواي فاي حيث تعمل تقنية  Li-Fi على نقل البيانات بسرعة تصل إلى 224 جيجابايت في الثانية و في تشبيه ساخر من أحد المتخصصين فقد أفاد بأن الأمر المقارنة بين تقنية لاي فاي و الواي فاي أشبه بالمقارنة بين النمر و الحلزون و ذلك نظرا للفرق الشاسع بينهما في السرعة .

و جميع المؤشرات تدل على أن تقنية الـ  Li-Fi هي التي سوف تكون مستخدمة مستقبلا في جميع الأجهزة بحيث توفر للمستخدمين سرعة اكثر و للإشارة فإن هذه التقنية ليست جديدة بشكل كلي حيث تم الكشف عنها للمرة الأولى في عام 2011 و لكن العمل على تطويرها لازال مستمرا إلى غاية الوقت الحالي .
تقنية الـ Li-Fi تعتمد في عملها على ترددات الضوء و هذا ما يجعل إمكانية الإتصال بشكل لاسلكي تحت المياه أمرا ممكنا ، و بإختصار فإن تقنية الـ  Li-Fi سوف تسهل عملية الإتصال و نقل البيانات بشكل كبير أفضل من الواي فاي المعتمدة حاليا .

Silfra fissure.

The Mid-Atlantic Ridge passing through Þingvellir

Silfra is a rift formed in the divergent tectonic boundary between the North American and Eurasian plates and is located in the Þingvallavatn Lake in the Þingvellir National Park in Iceland.

FormationEdit

Silfra lies in the Þingvellir valley and within the Þingvellir National Park. The valley, and Silfra itself, were formed by the divergent tectonic drift of the Eurasian and North American plates. The plates drift about 2 cm farther apart every year, building up tension between the plates and the earth mass above. This tension is relieved through periodic major earthquakes at approximately ten year intervals, which have caused cracks and fissures to form in Þingvellir valley; Silfra lies at the rim of the Þingvallavatn Lake ^[1] and is one of the largest and deepest of these fissures. The Silfra fissure intercepts a major aquifer, which feeds multiple springs at its base.^[2] Boulders and rocks falling into the widening cracks have formed caves within the fissures.^[1]^[3]

HydrologyEdit

Silfra is spring fed by groundwater originating as meltwater from Langjökull, Iceland's second largest glacier, about fifty kilometres north of the Þingvallavatn Lake. In the distant past, this Langjökull meltwater ran through a river directly and unimpeded into the Þingvallavatn Lake. This river was blocked a few thousand years ago by lava flows from the Skjaldbreiður volcano causing the meltwater to pond and seep underground into the porous lava rock to form an aquifer. This water then percolates through the aquifer for thirty to a hundred years before emerging from the fissure springs in the Þingvallavatn Lake fifty kilometres to the south. The emerging, highly filtered groundwater is exceptionally clear and potable.^[2]^[4]^[5]

Scuba divers and snorkelers are attracted to Sifra's exceptionally clear, fresh, water, its geological significance and the rare opportunity to swim between continental plates.^[6]^[7]^[8] The rift offers exceptional visibility of 70–80 metres.^{[citation needed]}. The site has been placed on the world's top fifty diving destinations by at least one travel site.^[9]

There are three main dive sites: Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral and Silfra Lagoon. The most spectacular section is the Cathedral, which is a 100 metres long fissure with visibility almost from end to end.^[10] Shallow at the entry points at the ends of the fissure, Silfra descends to a maximum depth of 63 metres but diving to this depth is seldom done as it requires technical diving skills. The water temperature is between 2–4 °C (36–39 °F) but can be comfortably dived using a dry suit.

So who should buy a Mac?

Simple Answer: Pretty much anyone who needs a computer other than a gaming machine.

AND Following are few kind of people who should NOT buy a Mac as the primary computing device:

Gamers : Mac is NOT for latest games.
And (of course) Developers of other platforms (OS)
And people who like to upgrade hardware as per the latest requirements
And people on a budget: I am sure many haters want a Mac but it is expensive.
<list is little long>

Before I write the reasons, let’s be on the same page:

I have PCs with Windows & Linux
I have a Macbook Pro (iPhone & iPad)
I am NOT an Apple fanboy!

In fact, most sane IT people I know doesn't hate Apple or Windows. However, we do get frustrated with some features/limitations in each of them.

The Internet is full of people who claim Mac is an inferior product because these days Apple rarely matches up with industries latest updates ( they have a good reason for it, but that's another topic.) And most of these people do NOT have a Mac

And because it's the Internet, we have many (way many) people claiming Mac is better because it's a Mac (I doubt if any of these people knows the difference of SSD/HDD or even can code or understands computing)

It's a myth that the only designer or photographers uses Mac. One must see a DEFCON. Programmers are hell lot of creative people!

So anyone who understands and value the followings seems to be the person who incline towards a Mac. Hence, should buy a Mac.

Few points that are in my mind at this moment:

Design: Each element is designed from customer's perspective. And of course, Mac doesn't look like a plastic box because it's not. Plus, the design of internal components is also impressive. Such as how to keep machine ‘cool’ and if required keep it as silent as possible

2. Cost effective in terms of stability and compatibility.

In years past, PCs were known to crash, and users would get the “blue screen,” but Microsoft has made their operating systems more reliable in recent years. On the other hand, Mac hardware and software have tended to be stable, and crashes occur infrequently.

Unlike with a PC, a Mac can also run Windows. If you want to have a combination Mac and PC, a Mac is your best option.

3. Light weight & small in size: Hence, easy to carry. And have a decent battery life

4. Powerful (kind of): Mac laptops perform well due to marriage between hardware and software. Apple is one of the pioneers in making such marvels. And of course, they charge for such arrangements. (PC certainly can beat Mac on many industry tests, however, when a simple element is infused it changes the game. That element is user experience. I know user experience is an emotion thing and it's not tangible. But sale speaks its language. It's Mac vs rest of the PCs, still, makes a dent in the universe)

5. It’s little more secure even without an anti-virus.

Why I use a Mac personally?

Apart from all above points:

1. Video Editing: Final Cut Pro performance is stunning (I switched from Adobe Premium pro)

2. Still Editing: Retina screen makes a big difference in photo editing. I don't need big monitors and calibrate them.

3. Ease of use: You will be surprised how applications are well integrated and one can get used to it.

4. The power of Unix/Linux: Yes, MacOS (and older versions) are based on Unix. I am a homebrew [1]fan/user

5. I can code: All web based technology, Android, iOS, MacOS even C# (but seriously I switch to windows when programming for Windows platform, it's known)

There are many people who understand and respect all above points (or more) but do not value it, in terms of money or freedom or any other valid elements. None of them are wrong or right. We all have different views and values.

I hope I did answer your question. If you still have doubts (It's a good thing) go to an Apple store, use a Mac- experience the difference. Ask more questions!

A shameless vote by Congress gives a green light to big companies exploiting consumers online

Hi, Backchannelers. Steven here. For many years, when people described how the internet worked — whether they were talking about shopping, communicating, or starting a business there — they inevitably invoked a single metaphor. The internet, said just about everybody, was a contemporary incarnation of the wild, wild West.

This implied two things. First, the thrilling feeling of possibilities — anything goes, and that means even the most febrile imagination can not envision the opportunities in this virgin turf. The second was a scarier feeling that comes from the lawlessness of a territory too new for rules to be drawn. Anything goes, and that means you have to watch carefully for ripoffs and scams.

Over twenty years into the consumer internet revolution, and we’re now wise to many scams. And like any well-explored frontier, many of the stakes have been claimed, and are now lushly developed. Through a mix of market forces and regulation, we’ve brought civilization to the electronic provinces. There are still risks — watch out for cyber-thieves holding your data hostage through virus incursions! — but we’ve all accepted that the net is a reasonable place to do business, communicate with each other, and even to access crucial services, like heath care.

These days, the biggest threats on the internet seem to come not from small-time rogues, but big-time corporations that have embraced the internet technology, and often a favored position in the marketplace, to lock in and limit what people might do. The Obama administration tried to address this power imbalance, by attempting to level the suddenly tilted playing field. That’s why we got net neutrality, which preserves equal access to the open net for small teams of small means.

This same argument is also behind the logic of a last year’s Obama-era regulation to stop Internet Service Providers from selling user data to the highest bidder, without permission. It made perfect sense — after all, landline phone carriers can’t sell information about your calls. Most of the population has few or no choices to make in choosing an ISP. Yet, ISPs take note of every site you visit, your location, how long you are on the site, who you send email to…just about every aspect of your life. So it makes perfect sense for consumers to expect their private information to remain private, unless they knowingly allow the Comcasts and AT&Ts of the world to sell it off. It’s not surprising that only the big online bullies (and their paid flunkies) raised objections to the Obama regulation to protect this privacy.

Yet last week both the Senate and the House — overwhelmingly with Republican votes — voted to overturn those limits, and to ban the FCC from ever imposing them again. President Trump is expected to sign the legislation, permanently making the internet a place for rapacious data collecting from largely unwitting consumers. (Here’s a list of those who voted against your privacy; bookmark it for 2018!)

Those supporting this awful rollback say it’s about fair play (after all, services like Google and Facebook weren’t subject to the rule) and freedom. But no one is forced to use Google or Facebook, and those companies make their money from advertising. The ISPs often are monopolies in their region — and consumers pay them. Anyway, if Congress wants Google and Verizon to play by the same privacy rules, why not make it so no company can sell private information without permission?

And the freedom the GOP talks about is largely the consumer’s freedom to get fleeced by big corporations.

No, the internet is not so much the wild, wild West anymore. Increasingly, it’s more like Westworld.

And we’re the androids.

Last week, Pam Edstrom died. She was the early spokesperson for a new company called Microsoft, leaving the company in 1984 to co-found the PR company Waggoner-Edstrom, whose key client for many years (indeed, to this day) was that same Microsoft. Pam was instrumental in shaping, for better or worse, a lot of the conventions that are now standard in tech PR. For instance, pre-Wagg-Ed, as it was commonly called, reporters generally spoke to tech execs with no PR folks in the room. Now, even startups (when they can get away with it) follow the Wagg-Ed model of having detailed strategic publicity plans, implemented by hand-picking the right reporters.

I won’t remember Pam for those client-friendly innovations, but for her honesty and her passion — for both her clients and for her belief that tech would be a huge and beneficial benefit for society. Though not averse to spin, the truth mattered to her. If a critical story was fair, she’d defend the reporter, even if Bill Gates himself was furious. (Believe me, I know.)

In the midst of a tense reporter-company standoff, you could crack a joke with Pam. I’m sorry that there will be no more laughs.

نتشرت مؤخراً مشكلة إختراق حسابات الفيس بوك دون معرفة لماذا و من أو حتى كيف تم تهكيره، فهناك عدة طرق و ثغرات يستخدمها قراصنة الإنترنت لإختراق حسابات الفيس بوك كتسجيل الدخول التلقائي (Auto-log in) الذي يمكن هؤلاء القراصنة (Hackers) من الوصول إلى بيانات و حسابات المواقع المختلفة و منها الفيس بوك و هناك أيضاً برامج و روابط الإختراق المتنوعة و التي إنتشرت على هيئة روابط دعائية و إعلانية، و هناك من يقوم بإختراق الفيس بوك للحصول هويتك و على بياناتك الشخصية و متابعاتك و استخدامها استخداماً سيئاً.

كيف تعرف إذا كان قد تم إختراق حسابك؟

إذا كنت قلق و تشك أنه قد تم سرقة حساب الفيس بوك الخاص بك إليك طريقة سهلة للتحقق من هذا الأمر:

إضغط على السهم أعلى يمين صفحة حسابك في الزاوية إذا كانت لغة صفحتك هي الإنجليزية أما إذا كانت اللغة هي العربية ستجدها أعلى يسار الصفحة، ستظهر لك قائمة إضغط على الإعدادات (Settings) ستفتح لك صفحة الإعدادات كما بالشكل السابق، يمكنك الذهاب إليها مباشرة من(هنا).
إضغط على إعدادات الأمن (Security) على يسار القائمة كما هو موضح بالصورة ثم إختار (Where You’re Logged In) سوف تظهر لك قائمة بكل الأجهزة و الأماكن التي قمت بتسجيل الدخول لحسابك منها مدعوماً بالتاريخ و توقيت تسجيل دخولك كما بالشكل السابق، إذا كان هناك أي من بيانات تسجيل الدخول لا تخصك و لا تستطيع تمييزها فإن هناك إحتمال أنه قد تم إختراق حسابك، فإذا تأكدت من ذلك قم على الفور بالضغط على إنهاء النشاط (End Activity) على يمين تسجيل الدخول الذي لم تقم به، هذا سيغلق حسابك عن الدخيل مؤقتاً و سيسمح هذا لك بإكتساب بعض الوقت لتقوم بتغير كلمة المرور و إتخاذ إجراءات الحماية.

بعض العلامات الأخرى التي تخبرك إذا كان قد تم إختراق حسابك

إذا تم تغيير اسمك أو تاريخ ميلادك أو كلمة المرور أو حتى عنوان البريد الإلكتروني الخاص بك.
إذا تم إرسال طلبات صداقة لأشخاص أنت لا تعرفهم.
إذا وجدت رسائل مرسلة من عندك و لم تقم بإرسالها.
ظهور صور و مشاركات على صفحتك لم تقم بنشرها.

ماذا ستفعل إذا تأكدت أن حسابك قد تم إختراقه (طرق الحل)؟

فور إنتهائك من الضغط على إنهاء النشاط (End Activity) و تغيير كلمة المرور كما ذكرنا سابقاً، إذهب إلى مركز المساعدة للفيس بوك (Facebook help page) ثم إضغط على (أعتقد أن حسابي قد تعرض لعملية إختراق أو أن أحدً يستخدمه بدون إذني ” I think my account was hacked or someone is using it without my permission“ ثم إضغط على تأمين حسابك (Secure itt) و سيقوم الفيس بوك بنقلك إلى صفحة أخرى لتتابع معه بعض خطوات و إجراءات الحماية.

كيف تحافظ على حسابك بالفيس بوك آمناً؟

الفيس بوك ملئ بمميزات الأمن و الحماية كما رأينا بالصورة السابقة أنت فقط تحتاج إلى تفعيلها كالآتي:

قم بتشغيل تنبيهات تسجيل الدخول (Login Alerts) لتلقى الإشعارات و التنبيهات بتسجيل دخول حسابك و هذا يساعدك على إكتشاف أي عملية إختراق مبكراً حتى تستطيع السيطرة عليها بسرعة.
إضغط على موافقات تسجيل الدخول (Login Approvals) و قم بتفعيل المصادقة الثنائية (Two-Factor Authentication)، و قم أيضاً بتفعيل إحدى خيارات الأمان الأخرى كالرسائل النصية و غيرها.
إضغط على كلمات سر التطبيقات (App Passwords) و قم بإنشاء كلمة مرور قوية و جيدة للتطبيقات بدلاً من اسخدام كلمة المرور الخاصة بحساب الفيس بوك.
إضغط على جهات الإتصال الموثوق فيها لديك (Your Trusted Contacts) و قم بإضافة أي من الأصدقاء المقربين لديك أو أحد أفراد العائلة الذين يستطيع أن يساعدك إذا حدث و تم إختراق حسابك.

من خلال هذه الخطوات سيكون حساب الفيس بوك الخاص بك في أمان تام و سيكون من الصعب إختراقه و أكثر سهولة في إستعادته إذا تم إختراقه.

`Hackers are a scary bunch—whether working as part of a criminal syndicate or an idealist with a political agenda, they’ve got the knowledge and the power to access your most precious data. If hackers want to target a particular company, for example, they can find vast amounts of information on that company just by searching the web. They can then use that info to exploit weaknesses in the company’s security, which in turn puts the data you’ve entrusted to that company in jeopardy.

Think of your home computer as a company. What can you do to protect it against hackers? Instead of sitting back and waiting to get infected, why not arm yourself and fight back?

Bad guys, beware. We’ve got 10 ways to beat you.

Update your OS and other software frequently, if not automatically. This keeps hackers from accessing your computer through vulnerabilities in outdated programs. For extra protection, enable Microsoft product updates so that the Office Suite will be updated at the same time. Consider retiring particularly susceptible software such as Java or Flash.
Download up-to-date security programs, including antivirus and anti-malware software, anti-spyware, and a firewall (if your OS didn’t come pre-packaged with it). To trick even the most villainous hackers, consider investing in anti-exploit technology, such as Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit, so you can stop attacks before they happen.
Destroy all traces of your personal info on hardware you plan on selling. Consider using d-ban to erase your hard drive. For those looking to pillage your recycled devices, this makes information much more difficult to recover. If the information you’d like to protect is critical enough, the best tool for the job is a chainsaw.
Do not use open wifi; it makes it too easy for hackers to steal your connection and download illegal files. Protect your wifi with an encrypted password, and consider refreshing your equipment every few years. Some routers have vulnerabilities that are never patched. Newer routers allow you to provide guests with segregated wireless access. Plus, they make frequent password changes easier.
Speaking of passwords: password protect all of your devices, including your desktop, laptop, phone, smartwatch, tablet, camera, lawnmower…you get the idea. The ubiquity of mobile devices makes them especially vulnerable. Lock your phone and make the timeout fairly short. Use fingerprint lock for the iPhone and passkey or swipe for Android. “It’s easy to forget that mobile devices are essentially small computers that just happen to fit in your pocket and can be used as a phone,” says Jean-Philippe Taggart, Senior Security Researcher at Malwarebytes. “Your mobile device contains a veritable treasure trove of personal information and, once unlocked, can lead to devastating consequences.”
Sensing a pattern here? Create difficult passwords and change them frequently. In addition, never use the same passwords across multiple services. If that’s as painful as a stake to a vampire’s heart, use a password manager like LastPass. For extra hacker protectant, ask about two-step authentication. Several services have only recently started to offer two-factor authentication, and they require the user to initiate the process. Trust us, the extra friction is worth it. Two-factor authentication makes taking over an account that much more difficult, and on the flip side, much easier to reclaim should the worst happen.
Come up with creative answers for your security questions. People can now figure out your mother’s maiden name or where you graduated from high school with a simple Google search. Consider answering like a crazy person. If Bank of America asks, “What was the name of your first boyfriend/girlfriend?” reply “your mom.” Just don’t forget that’s how you answered when they ask you again.
Practice smart surfing and emailing. Phishing campaigns still exist, but hackers have become much cleverer than that Nigerian prince who needs your money. Hover over links to see the actual email address from which the email was sent. Is it really from the person or company claiming to send them? If you’re not sure, pay attention to awkward sentence construction and formatting. If something still seems fishy, do a quick search on the Internet for the subject line. Others may have been scammed and posted about it online.
Don’t link accounts. If you want to comment on an article and you’re prompted to sign in with Twitter or Facebook, do not go behind the door. “Convenience always lessens your security posture,” says Taggart. “Linking accounts allows services to acquire a staggering amount of personal information.”
Keep sensitive data off the cloud. “No matter which way you cut it, data stored on the cloud doesn’t belong to you,” says Taggart. “There are very few cloud storage solutions that offer encryption for ‘data at rest.’ Use the cloud accordingly. If it’s important, don’t.”

Honorable mention: Alarmist webpages announcing that there are “critical errors” on your computer are lies. Microsoft will never contact you in person to remove threats. These messages come from scammers, and if you allow them to remotely connect to your computer, they could try to steal your information and your money. If that’s not a Nightmare on Elm Street, then we don’t know what is.

نعاني جميعاً كمستخدمين للأنترنت من الاعلانات في اغلب الصفحات التي نفتحها وانبثاق صفحات اخرى لا نريدها اثناء التصفح وللقضاء على هذه الحالة المستمرة بشكل دائم ويومي يمكن اتباع الارشادات التالية:

وهكذا بالنسبة لبقية المتصفحات حيث لكل منها اضافات معينة وبعض هذه الاضافات افضل من غيرها وانا اعطيتكم رأيي في الاضافات التي جربتها وثبت لي فائدتها وعملها بشكل فعال واتمنى من الاخوة الاخرين من مستخدمي المتصفحات الشائعة الاخرى مثل الانترنت اكسبلورر والاوبرا وغيرها ان يفيدونا بالاضافات الفعالة.

كيفية حل مشكلة ERR_ CONNECTION_ R EFUSED في متصفح جوجل كروم

يقوم متصفح جوجل كروم في بعض الأحيان بوقف فتح و تحميل بعض المواقع دون أي إنذار، سيقوم بفتح المواقع بطريقة طبيعية عدا عدة مواقع بصورة غريبة و عشوائية و التي قد كنت تتصفحهم مسبقاً بشكل طبيعي كاليوتيوب و غيرها و عندما يفشل في فتح أي من هذه المواقع سيعطيك هذه الرسالة (ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED) كما بالشكل، و هي في الحقيقة لا تساعد و لا تخبرك شيئاً عن المشكلة، و إذا قمت بإستخدام VPN كما يفعل البعض فإنك في الحقيقة لا تقوم بحل أساس المشكلة و لكن حلها يكمن في القيام بعملية تنقية و تنظيف صغيرة، و إليك كيف يمكن حل هذه المشكلة.

تأكد إذا كان الموقع بالفعل مغلق أو قيد التطوير

قبل أن تبدأ بإصلاح المشكلة تأكد إذا كان هذا الموقع بالفعل مغلق أو قيد التطوير و الصيانة، و أسهل طريقة للتأكد من هذا الأمر هي بإستخدام هذا الموقع (Down for everyone or just me)، قم بنسخ رابط الموقع المغلق في المربع كما بالصورة و سيخبرك إذا كان هذا الموقع مغلق بالفعل أم إنك فقط من تواجه هذه المشكلة، و إذا أخبرك أن الموقع يعمل بشكل عادي فأنت تحتاج إلى أن تتابع معنا هذه الخطوات لحل هذه المشكلة.

1) إعادة تشغيل جهاز Router

أحياناً يكون هناك عطل ما في الجهاز أو سوء إتصال بالشبكة و هو أول و أبسط حل تقنياً يخبرك به مركز المساعدة في الويندوز و نسبة نجاحة ضئيلة، أضغط على زر الطاقة و أبقي الضغط عليه لمدة عشرة ثواني ثم أتركه و دعه مغلق لمدة عشرة ثواني أخرى و أفتحه و أنظر إذا قام جوجل كروم بفتح الموقع أم لا، و إذا لم ينجح الأمر فجرب الحل الثاني.

2) تنظيف DNS

DNS إختصار لكلمة Domain Name System و هو نظام يخزن معلومات تتعلق بقاعدة بيانات الإنترنت، قم بفتح صندوق الأمر (run) من قائمة البدأ(Start menu) و أكتب الأمر (CMD) ثم إضغط (Enter) ستظهر لك هذه الشاشة السوداء كما بالصورة في الفراغ الظاهر أمامك أكتب الأمر (ipconfig /flushdns) ثم أتركه يقوم بتنظيف قاعدة البيانات هذه كما ذكرنا و عند الإنتهاء قم بفتح الموقع و إذا لم يفتح فجرب الحل التالي.

3) جدد الـ IP and DHCP

و هي كعملية تجديد لعنوان و سيرفر و مستقبل الإنترنت الخاص بك و سيقوم بقطع الإتصال بالشبكة مؤقتاً ولكن لا تقلق سيقوم الويندوز بالإتصال مرة أخرى فور الإنتهاء، قم بفتح الأمر (CMD) كما رأينا سابقاً و عندما تظهر لك الشاشة السوداء أكتب الأمر (ipconfig /renew) و إضغط (Enter) و عند الإنتهاء جرب تشغيل الموقع، و إذا لم تنجح هذه الطريقة جرب الحل التالي.

4) تفقد سبب المشكلة جيداً

تظهر هذه المشكلة لأسباب عدة، و هذا المقال يتناول هذه المشكلة مع المواقع التي كنت تتصفحها بسهولة في الماضي دون مشاكل و لكن لا تسطيع الآن بسبب ظهور هذه المشكلة، بمعنى أنك إذا قمت مؤخراً بتثبيت أي برنامج فيروسات أو ملحقات على المتصفح أوVPN أو أي تطبيق فإن هناك إحتمال كبير أنها قد تكون سبب هذه المشكلة، جرب إلغاء تثبيتهم أو وقف عملهم إذا لم تنجح معك الحلول السابقة و أنظر إذا كانت ستحل هذا الخطأ و إذا تم بالفعل تصحيح هذا الخطأ فإن المشكلة كانت في إحدى هذه البرامج.

و تعتبر هذه المشكلة ليست محصورة على متصفح جوجل كروم فقط أي يمكن تراها على أي متصفح أخر أو حتى على الشبكة الخاصة بك بمجرد وجود أحد مسبباتها، و يمكنك في هذه الحالة إتباع الخطوات السابقة في تصحيح هذا الخطأ، و في حال إذا قمت بحلها سوف تختفي هذه المشكلة من كل المتصفحات و الشبكات من على جهازك لأنها ليست مشكلة في متصفح جوجل كروم و لكنها مشكلة في نظام قاعدة بيانات الإنترنت و سيرفر الإستقبال الخاص بك على جهازك (DNS or DHCP configuration).

كيفية إغلاق جهاز أي شخص متصل معك في نفس الشبكة بإستعمال حاسوبك فقط

موقف قد نتعرض له جميعا و هو حين تجد بأن هناك بعض الاشخاص الذين يقومون بالإتصال بشبكة الواي فاي الخاصة بك دون إذنك حيث أنهم إستطاعوا الوصول إلى كلمة السر الخاصة بالشبكة إما عبر إختراقها بإستعمال بعض التطبيقات او أنهم قاموا بأخذها من شخص تعرفه و ما إلى ذلك ، و عندما يكون هناك شخص ما يقوم بسرقة الواي فاي منك فإن افضل ما يمكنك القيام به هو أن تعطيه درسا لا ينساه يكون بمثابة تحذير له ، و في هذه التدوينة اليوم سوف نتعرف على كيف يمكنك ان تقوم بإغلاق جهاز اي شخص متصل معك بنفس الشبكة عن بعد من خلال إستعمال حاسوبك فقط .

الطريقة التي سوف نتعرف عليها سوف تكون بدون إستعمال اي برامج أو تطبيقات بل من خلال الويندوز فقط يمكنك غلاق جهاز اي شخص متصل على نفس الشبكة سواءا كان جهازه عبارة عن هاتف أو جهاز لوحي أو حاسوب ، و الطريقة هي كالتالي :

أولا قم بالنقر على زر الويندوز في لوحة المفاتيح و أيضا قم بالنقر في نفس الوقت على زر R بعد ذلك سوف تظهر لك نافذة الـ RUN و في الخانة قم بكتابة كلمة cmd و قم بالضغط على زر Enter كما هو موضح أدناه :

بعد ذلك سوف تظهر لك نافذة الـ cmd و كل ما عليك فعله هو ان تقوم بكتابة جملة net view على هذا الشكل :
