Section 25 From The Hip 4CD boxed set [FBN 90 CD]

In September 2025, Factory Benelux released a 4-disc box set edition of Section 25's pioneering 1984 electro album 'From The Hip', produced by Bernard Sumner.

The original 1984 album appears on Disc 1 along with bonus tracks including both 12" versions of Looking From A Hilltop, as well as singles Dirty Disco II, Beating Heart and Back To Wonder.

Disc 2 features previously unreleased material, including a 1984 BBC radio session, demos, remixes and new recordings.

Disc 3 collects together various electronic sketches and demo tracks from 1983 and 1984, plus remixes.

Disc 4 compiles mix desk live recordings from the North American tour in 1985,.

"2026 marks 20 years since the band's reformation in 2006. Much has changed but we are still making new music and moving forward.

2025 was a busy year for Section 25 - here's a recap of the highlights:

On 6 June the Outernationale remixes mini album was released digitally and in special limited edition vinyl LP on NineXNine Records.

Section 25's 'Outernationale Remixes' was made available across all streaming platforms featuring remixes of 'Move On' and 'Back In The Day'. Downloads and the super limited vinyl are also available to purchase via Bandcamp

The Cargo Studios book, published in September and described as "epic" by Vin Cassidy, featured a great, section, on Section 25.

In December SXXV contributed a remix of 'Eins Zwei Drei Vier' by Absolute Body Control to their album 'Shattered Illusion Remixes'. This is available to buy via Bandcamp.

Oh, and Section 25 also played some live dates but that's another story - stay tuned!

First time on vinyl for four Section 25 albums

Limited edition vinyl pressings of four of our albums - Part-Primitiv (FBN 130, 180g heavyweight black vinyl), Nature + Degree (FBN 135, purple vinyl), Retrofit (FBN 140, orange vinyl) and Dark Light (FBN 145, crystal clear vinyl) are being released via Factory Benelux in late August 2023. This will be the first time these albums have been available on vinyl.

Each album includes a digital copy with extra tracks and they can all be purchased individually, or as part of a bundle available from FBN and Burning Shed featuring all four albums as well as a signed postcard and a bonus copy of the FBN 124 Alfresco live package.

During the late 1970's Larry Cassidy painted a series of oil paintings of the dilapidated jetties and landing stages at Skippool Creek on the River Wyre. It was after doing this that he built and photographed the installation 'Prelude to a Savage Interior' at his studio at Singleton Street in Blackpool.

Section 25's Vienna show from October 2019 is receiving a release as a live CD album 'Duette' via the Klanggalerie label. Section 25 formed in Blackpool in November 1977 and initially they were a duo, consisting of brothers Larry and Vincent Cassidy. The band are now down to being a duo again consisting of Vincent Cassidy and Steven Stringer.
