Katherine Dykstra’s essays have appeared in Gulf Coast, Poets and Writers, and the Random House anthology “Twentysomething Essays by Twentysomething Writers” among other places. Her work received first prize in the 2012 Alpine Essay Contest. Katherine teaches creative nonfiction at NYU/SCPS and is the nonfiction editor at Guernica. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband.

Jeff Renfroe is a director, writer and producer of film, television and video art. His internationally co-produced debut feature film ONE POINT O was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and won five international festival awards. His second film CIVIC DUTY premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival and was released theatrically in 2007. Renfroe also edited ANVIL! THE STORY OF ANVIL, winner of the Los Angeles Film Festival Audience Award and an Emmy in 2010. Jeff’s latest sci-fi action feature, THE COLONY will be released worldwide in 2013.

Eleanor Leonne Bennett is a 16-year-old photographer and artist who has received awards from National Geographic, The World Photography Organisation, Nature’s Best Photography, Papworth Trust, Mencap, The Woodland Trust and Postal Heritage and others. Her photography has been published in The Telegraph, The Guardian, on the BBC News website and on the cover of publications in the United States and Canada. Her art has been exhibited globally including in Indonesia, Canada, Spain, Germany, Japan, and Australia. Bennett’s work has been included in the 2011 Environmental Photographer of the Year Exhibition and the National Geographic “See The Bigger Picture” Global Exhibition Tour 2010.

Roderick Zalameda was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada in 1970. After earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Studies from Concordia University, his passion for the arts led him towards a variety of projects including live performance, recording soundtracks for film, as well as inter-disciplinary presentations. Rod has collaborated with choreogapher Meiko Ando, artist Go Hirano, and is part of the experimental collective of filmmakers and musicians that is Pinkeye.

Robbie Durose is a cartoonist, DJ, and writer living in Victoria, Canada. He’s been pumping out music and cartoons since the 90′s and is still loving every minute of it. Robbie’s cartoons have been published in monthly and weekly newspapers across Canada. He is currently developing a animated comedy series for television in collaboration with a Vancouver, BC-based production company.

prOphecy sun is a Canadian interdisciplinary performance artist who interphases with sound, movement and installation to create emotive environments. Her works, compositions, videos and collaborations have been exhibited in Canada and abroad. She is a master theremin player, an improvisational looping maestro and an experimental throat singer. Her current musical projects include: prOphecy sun, Tyranahorse, Under the Sun, Her Jazz Noise Collective, Spell and The Adulthood. She is also a performer in two movement collectives. Sun graduated from Emily Carr University with a Bachelors Degree in Visual Arts majoring in Sculpture & Ceramics. Mostly, she enjoys riding on her road bike Mr. Falcon around East Vancouver and being a mom to three lovely cats.

Susan Taylor Chehak is the author of five novels, including Smithereens, The Story of Annie D., and Harmony. She has taught fiction writing in the MFA program at Antioch University Los Angeles, the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program, the University of Southern California, and the Summer Writing Festival at her alma mater, the University of Iowa. Susan grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, lives occasionally in Toronto, and at present calls Colorado her home.
