The captain is back on the bridge with a black duffle bag full of Lazerbass for you. Special attention is on Danny Scrilla’s magnum opus remix of New Order and the first tune of the mix, as it is a personal fav since Danny played it at our show in Cologne. Big tune.

Speaking of Danny and me, we have some good news on the booking front: We will play at Rote Sonne in Munich together with Amanda Blank and Schlachthof Bronx tonight and after our show in Bern on the 31st of July we will head overseas for a couple of shows in California and Texas on the “Lazerdaze Summertour 2009 presented by seen. and TropiCali Prod.” Big things a gwaan.

Maxi King queens and water gunmen. It’s Tim Turbo Thursday!

Wow, I had a blasting weekend. It started with playing together with Danny Scrilla and Ron Foto in Cologne on Friday. And that was already a mad party. On Saturday, we were all recovering and seriously hanging over in some middle eastern food place, when DJ Beware called and offered me to fill in for him on his gig in Bielefeld, because he was having some serious pain in his back. So me and Danny also played in Bielefeld on Saturday and had a another mad night full of lazers!

Speaking of DJ Beware: This time it’s the truth and nothing but the truth: I will fire off some exclusive Bayern Funky tunes by Danny and some of my own new remixes on Beware’s FM4 Unlimited show on Austria’s number one radio station today between 02:00 and 03:00 PM CET. Tune in on www.fm4.at!

Lunch break pushers and holiday hookers. It’s Tim Turbo Thursday!

Of course, this week’s Tim Turbo Thursday is all Major Lazer (check my interview with Major Diplo) - I got the six biggest tunes of this great album (of which I wish I produced it myself) in the mix. Furthermore, I got new minimalistic L-Vis 1990s, tropical Uproot Andys and an accumulator fully loaded with the regular Sonnenbank Lazer rays fizzling in your auditory canals.

Me, Danny Scrilla and Germany’s only impotent rapper Ron Foto will lazer down the Subway club in Cologne tomorrow. So if you are around, make sure to cribwalk by.

I got heavy buzzin lazergun music, fucking funky Funkyhouse, Edu K galore, German streetrappers on a Baile Funk beat (btw: freeload Danny Scrilla’s Soca Ali Baba Remix and cop mine, wich will be out on Man Recordings soon), a deep down and dirty remix by Robot Koch of Jahcoozi, who will defray next weeks Tim Turbo Thursday and tender female voices on hard skanking riddims.

Also a female voice, not that tender but leading, is Lexie Lee. Her voice met my lazergun and Congorock’s congo on a mashup, wich lives here.

Ghettoboys and Hoodgirls! It’s Tim Turbo Thursday (two days after N.W.A. day)!

After I did an exclusive blend for Ghetto Palms last week, The Fader’s very own Eddie Stats (grower and discoverer of the Ghetto Palm itself) created today´s Tim Turbo Thursday. He brings something back into being, what a few guys of my ghettokids-followship have been missing lately: the Dancehall vibe.

Eddie sticked together something like the solid gold hits of the last Ghetto Palms issues plus all this hipster hype gangster stuff from The Fader blog. A bunch of Busys and Mavados plus that exclusiv DJ Oro11 Cumbia refix plus the brand new Skull Riddim. He wrote:

“The other main note is that this was recorded in true Ghetto Palms conditions: Serato and 2 beat up 1200s with loosey pitch control into final vinyl. One live take, no editing, no effects, no knob on the fader, no class.” (but style) “In fact my battle scarred Ortofons was giving a signal so dirty, even after being cleaned with the finest Cabana cachaca that Brazil could export, I had to borrow DJ Rekha’s needles to record.”
