Since I was young I've striven to live with the people and things around me. My family, the country, the world and beyond that. But somehow, there's one thing that I still find trouble living with...

I'm fine with bunnies. In fact, I quite like them. The thing I can't live with? TIME.

It was a helluva mission. Subang Jaya to Mid Valley Megamall in less than 2 hours by RAIL. There was no other safe choice to take. So I took the KTM Commuter to the Midvalley Station. Time taken? 1 hour 35 minutes. Goal time was 1 hour 15 minutes though.

That was my first evening out with the Advertlets gang. It was real fun being at a life-sized Wonderland in the middle of Mid Valley Megamall which was sealed off for a private event.

Dome Cafe catered for the Mad Hatter's Tea party. The scene was enacted just as Ean (from Hitz.fm) described. He said it looked like it was taken right out of wonderland and placed in Mid Valley. It was an experience like no other. The launch of the movie was mainly sponsored by MasterCard Malaysia, HSBC Bank and Walt Disney Studios Malaysia.

Swarovski Crystals and Nina perfumes also had their roles. Swarovski made awesome use of their Epoxy-aligned crystal jewelery and created a whole line of products to match the movie. From red hearts to represent the Red Quees to flowery designs to reflect to beauty of Wonderland.

Now about the movie...

In terms of chemistry, this movie had the twists like no other. But first, I don't think it should be called Alice in Wonderland. First reason being that the movie was not ENTIRELY based in Wonderland and that second, the movie was about Alice's SECOND trip into Wonderland. She made her first trip in the animated Disney movie.

Nonetheless, it was good. The theme and the computer graphics were breathtaking. Although the 3D was not put to good use at all, the scenes of Wonderland reminded me of the planet Pandora from Avatar. It was the fruit of talents well invested.

So I shall not spoil the story for you, but I bet if you're gonna walk into the cinema hall and expect to see the super pumped and 3D version of the old Alice in Wonderland you saw years ago on your CRT television hooked up to your VCR, you're in for a huge surprise.

My verdict? This is the sort of movie that's just right for the post-work mood. The chemistry of suspense was just right. Not too suspenseful but still quite predictable. Not the kind of movie that makes you pause and ponder about things, but the kind of movie you can just sit back, relax and enjoy.

I'll be doing my own thing, standing tall against the rain. Victory's within the mile. Almost there, don't give up now."

Run This Town - Rihanna feat. Jay-Z

This morning wouldn't leave me alone. I was praying and hoping that the whole of yesterday would be nothing more than a dream. Nothing more than a figment of my imagination.

I suddenly feel like I can't face this world. How did this happen? I try not to ask myself about what went wrong because I'm in the middle of forgetting the past and trying to move on. As I said in my last post, it was time to leave this in the past and go full steam ahead in SAM. But this morning, the shitload of negative thoughts just couldn't leave my parents' minds.

I used to think that I took control of my life. I used to be a top scorer. The pumped scores and the moderately uncompetitive nature of my class in form 5 got to my head and I felt like a butterfly after SPM. It wasn't the case. I was far from "in control". My dad kept ranting that I;m not in control of my life. I take full responsibility for my results, I'm not blaming anyone for the results I got neither do I blame them for the way I feel. In hindsight, I sudddenly feel that i shouldn't have entered the exam hall with a song in my heart and a smile on my face.

Now I don't think I can even face my class. My standing is at the bottom, in the pits. I'm in a dynamic class that can turn on the edge of a knife, and that is a good thing, but the only problem is, they can and I can't.

I don't feel like going for Mass in church ever again. The silent prayer room always has been and looks like what always will be my place of worship. Behind my locked room door facing my grandmother's wooden crucifix also was helpful, but somehow, somewhere, something went terribly wrong. Why can't I just move on and forget it!? Why can't it just leave me alone!

My results served their purpose YESTERDAY, but that's probably just as much as it did. I'm in a shitstorm of emotional crap right now, and the worst part is that I have no one to blame but myself.

I gotta go for class now. I'm already late.
It is true that one can learn something from everything that happens, good or bad.

For today I learnt that being optimistic CAN backfire very badly in the following situations.

FIRST. Do not confront hardcore problematic pessimists with optimism. It'll do more damage than good. They need help in other ways.

SECOND. Affirmation is NOT necessarily optimistic.

THIRD. Optimism often fails to work on the money-minded pessimist. Everything s/he thinks up boils right down to the money that's behind it

You can't blame money-minded pessimists. They work their bums off for the money that puts food on the tables for their families and they have a right to be like that. The working class is an ongoing everlasting shitstorm. The life is hard and the pay is moderate. The only way out is to find a job you love of end up being a...Yes. You've got it...Money-minded pessimist.

Ok. Fast forward. The exodus was hell on earth. My score?

3 A 3 B 3 C 1 D

I'm satisfied, but not happy. I'm not sad nor am I beaten up about it either. Why? First of all, I was anxious about getting kicked from Taylors. Second? I didn't live up to my forecast.

AND NEITHER did I live up to the results on the post about SPM 2009: Emotions Through The Papers. I didn't make mama proud.

Mum didn't take it that well. She was pissed at the fact that now a scholarship is way out of reach. At least I didn't waste my time looking around.

However, after a peek into the Twitterverse and Facebook, my little delicate happiness bubble grew dry and popped.

It looks like tomorrow there's going to be an idiot among geniuses in P1. I'm screwed. I've been sticking out like a sore thumb in almost all the classes I've been inside for my entire life. I won't be surprised if I'm the one with the lowest score around.

But one thing is for sure. The results served the purpose I intended them to. To get me safely and securely in Taylors. Now it's time to forget the past and move on. It's full steam ahead for SAM now. Bless my soul...

And from the bottom of my heart, Drive The Sensation wishes all SPM 2009 students

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Even if you failed it all, even if you topped the nation, this congratulation is FOR YOU.

You did your best

      You believed in yourself

You lived 17 years of your life

You aimed for the bulls-eye of your goal

                                    and finally,

                                       YOU MADE IT!
Just when you thought it was safe to step back into the school compound...

BANG!

The time has come for the final paper of 2009's SPM. No it's not a question paper, nor is it an answer script, but it's the ultimate paper of the whole exam. It's the paper that everyone's been waiting for. Some anticipated it, some can't wait for it, some don't want it. Either way, it's here. The results for SPM 2009 are coming out in 9 HOURS and 15 MINUTES from now (time of posting).

So now it boils down to one question for me. Will I testify the forecast, overshoot it or fail to meet it. It's all dependent on that slip of paper. It's the critical moment of truth that decides how much effort we put in last year and how it pays off.

Now I'm nowhere near being a Straight A student, but with what I've got, I managed to use everything I've got to it's max and now, the time has come to reap the profits from the seeds I've sown.

Ok. I need sleep now. My eyelids can kill me.

Music thumping, stars are shining and we're grinding. We were moving."

Nobody Like You (Chirantan Bhatt Remix) - Neeraj Shridhar, Anoushka & Ishq Bector

It took one really, really hard tight slap in the face to wake me up from this perpetual spiral of prejudice I was in.

Honestly, P1 has brought me through a whole new stage in life that I never thought i would pull through. But today I owe alot to our class rep, Kenn.

Kenn, you taught me something today that made me realize how much of an ass hole I've been (spelt that correctly for once :)). Somehow, somewhere along the line, I went against my own beliefs and became extremely hypocritical. It took a friend like you to turn that around. I know you walk away from the insignificant, but thanks for counting me in and accepting me for who I am. I'm willing to change just as much as you are.

Sometimes, walking alone on the journey of life is a dangerous route to take. Especially when you get caught in this downward-spiraling vortex of depression. The kinda crap that happens is really silly. I mean, look at me. I keep telling my pals that we shouldn't look upon others by their race, but look at me now. I do it myself and don't even realize it.

As Jude Antoine said during one of our training camps: "God created us such that we cannot see our own face. He made it the job of another to look at it and tell you how you are from the outside because it's really not supposed to be our job to judge ourselves. If it was, there would be more vanity in today's world than ever before.

So I would like to apologize for all the crap I wrote in the past 2 posts. I've been <s>a little</s> very inconsiderate and I can't believe that I even did such a heartless thing. I know I made the excuse that I grew up in racist conditions. From the day I was placed in Chinese school to the time I was shifted to private school and now, in college. I'm still discriminated, but the folks who treat me by my race know always apologize for what they say, and I guess it's my turn to say sorry to the world. Especially the Chinese.

I would like to close with a little something that Kenn left in my ShoutMix:

kenn:
...saying 'no offence intended' after offending people is like giving someone a slap and telling them you didn't.

With that, God bless you Kenn, and everyone else who reads this AND forgives me.

True and Unconditional Love,

D.A.niel

©2009 Daniel Jeyachristi Anthony
"The one thing I don't like about the SAM Student Council of 2010 is that they're all of one single race, not because that one race is Chinese, but it's just that it's too homogeneous."

"Aiyah. nothing one lah. You half-Chinese ma..."

Edward, if only you knew how racist some Chinese folks can be...

From a young age I have been discriminated. First for my skin colour, then my race, my religion and now my gender. I've suffered from racism, ageism, body-hairism, colourism, religious fanaticism and gender discrimination. Thank God they were not all at the same time.

So now, trying to reject any prejudice that comes to my mind is not as easy. Growing up was difficult, and now, erasing the bad traces of the past are difficult. It's like trying to clean a motor oil spill with nothing but a roll of tissue paper.

I found the key to my happiness a few months back. All it took was just looking at every good thing that comes out of a bad thing. If I just can't find that silver lining, I...

Bloody hell, what gives!!?

Chinese will take over in the next election, warns Perkasa

By Asrul Hadi Abdullah Sani

KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 — Malay nationalist group Perkasa warns that the Chinese community will use the next general election to take over the country.

Perkasa feels that the last general election weakened the Malays and empowered the Chinese community.

Dr Zubir Harun, director of Perkasa’ economic bureau, who was at the Malay Consultative Council’s (MPM) round-table discussion, said during his presentation that a divided Malay community will empower the other races.

According to delegates at the discussion and documents received by The Malaysian Insider, Perkasa wants the New Economic Policy (NEP) to be the “spirit” of the New Economic Model (NEM).

“Perkasa believes that disunity among the Malays has weakened Umno, causing the non-Malays to be more vocal in their demands. They say that the Chinese are also blackmailing the government to give in to their demands by threatening to vote for Pakatan Rakyat,” said one of the delegates.

Zubir also said that Perkasa is worried that the New Economic Model will have a Chinese agenda.

“The Chinese people feel that the next general election is the best opportunity for them to gain power in this country.

“This is why Chinese NGOs, such as Ziong Dong and Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce, are using this chance to make demands of the government. If their demands are not met, then they will vote Pakatan Rakyat who are willing to give everything to the Chinese,” he elaborated in his presentation.

Zubir added that the Malays have “sacrificed” for the country by allowing “the immigrants” to live in Malaysia.

“It must be reminded that the Malay people have sacrificed tremendously since independence with a quid pro quo policy... the Malay race have compromised by allowing foreigners into the country. The Malays endured hundreds of years of colonization and the result is the migration of foreigners into the country. We were forced to accept this policy,” he said.

Zubir also slammed non-Malays and liberal Malays for wanting to rewrite the country’s Constitution and social contract.

Perkasa believes that the NEP is still relevant because it will help the Malay community to counter a market which is dominated by the Chinese.

The Malaysian Insider reported today that the government has decided to incorporate the proposed New Economic Model (NEM) into the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP) in June, as fine-tuning and tweaks will go beyond its initial end-March launch.

It was learnt the delay came after feedback from various quarters prompted the government to rework its ideas and proposals that will turn Malaysia into a high-income nation based on innovation and creativity.

Among those with reservations about the NEM are the MPM which yesterday demanded it be based on the 1970s-era New Economic Policy (NEP) and should comply with Article 153 of the Federal Constitution that protect Malay and Bumiputera’s special position.

(Taken from The Malaysian Insider)

I somehow hold on to my distorted belief that Malaysia has a little too many Chinese folks. Some of them are complete assoles, but no race is perfect. I'm still trying to accept that. I'm not meaning to discriminate the entire race, but in my life I've been living with Chinese people everywhere I turn. Every part of my life has a Chinese in it. Why? I'm half-Chinese myself.

So I guess I look like an idiot stabbing myself in the chest with all these statements. What you see is what I see.

No offence intended people. It's just the crude, pissed-off conservative Daniel Anthony of 2005 talking.

Ok, back to the topic.

...I get down on my knees and pray to God to give me hope and show me the good things that come out when shit happens. That's my key to happiness.

My second task was to un-learn how to hate. Hate is useless. It brings about no good but good riddance. It's sad, depressing and full of anger. That is why I don't join hate groups and all anti-whatever or whoever groups on Friendster and Facebook.

Well, Now I gotta get down and pray that God bring me the good that comes out of the current news...Gah. Homework is tapping my shoulder too. Gotta go.

Love,
Friday night was a real blast (as the name suggests, it was supposed to be a NuclearBlast.). The DJ was awesome, the lighting was bombastic and the reception was great.

One thing I didn't really like was the homogeneous SAM Student Council for 2010. I mean, I can't expect everyone I voted for to win, but somehow, I can't help but question.

WHY ARE THEY ALL CHINESE!!?

No offence intended, but why is the board so homogeneous!? Can't we have a variety of races? I mean, if the president is Chinese I'm ok, if the secretary is Chinese I'm ok, but heck!? Everyone there is Chinese!

To be honest, if they were all Indian, or all Malay, I would be just as unsatisfied. The spectrum is too racially narrow, in my opinion, to weigh the opinions of all those who speak on behalf of any one ethnicity. Too many Chinese people really do lead up to an unbalanced committee.

But heck, what's done is done. I'll just shut up and accept it. So congrats to all the winners. You've done a great job in making your manifestos heard. Now live up to it kay? :)

Ok. I have outstanding homework and I really need to get it out of the way. Nights.
I missed Legal studies consultation to go for Christian Fellowship. It's my last free Friday in Taylors so I decided to spend it in the glory of God.

It's gonna be an awesome night. I can't wait for the SAM Fiesta starting in a bit.

There's a Legal Studies Essay test on Monday, and with all I can do I sure hope that's gonna boost my grades. I messed up the Short Response paper on Monday and now I hope this helps. Please God, I need this.

After all, I scribble alot in class. Sometimes I can be pretty artistic :)

Mr. David told us a lil bit about maturity yesterday. It was an interesting approach he used. He said that we must be able to handle people properly and with care. He also said that if we're mature, we need to be able to see through others' point of view and live our lives with taking that into consideration. Of course, it should NEVER get in the way of your dreams.

I gotta go grab a bite. I've never been in Taylors this late before.
It'd been a long hard year. She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention. She was going way to fast."

Jesus Take The Wheel - Carrie Underwood

Fion Tan was right. Thursdays are pretty depressing...

First thing in the morning, my experimentation with my alarm clock's settings that didn't work set my mother on fire. She wants to compromise my further education if I can't wake up on my own. Lang story short? I'm dead.

Later, I screwed my Malaysian Studies essay like crazy. I took out all my racist and prejudice thoughts on that sheet of paper. Don't be surprised if I'm beaten up tomorrow. I'm someone who has reflexes in my vocal cords. The organ can bypass my brain at times.

So that's over, leaving me feeling both satisfied at taking it all out, and shitty for taking it out there.

Directly after that was Maths. Ok. Maths. Right.

I FAILED THE TEST YESTERDAY.

This however, comes as no surprise. I couldn't finish the paper and no, I'm not blaming anyone else but myself. If you want reasons, don't ask me not to pass the blame. Crap, I haven't even told my mom yet.

The dusty Thursday just gets worse and worse...especially because I'm still *coughing*. Tomorrow is the SAM Fiesta. I hope it all runs well. I'm dying to hear a professional DJ spin n' scratch live.

Great. I just overturned my coin box forgetting that it was still open. You know the itchy habit some of us have, the one where we like to rotate and oscillate stuff that's in our hands. Some of us spin pens between our fingers, some twirl their handphone around, some dwindle with string attached to whatnots and so on. Well, I just did it with my coin box. Silly huh?

The maths paper is still haunting me. Shit. I don't think I can sleep tonight.

And as usual, after I vent i have to end this post with my self-created word that helps me remember how I felt.
It's Wednesday and I'm coughing like a...

...a...

      ...a sick...

            ...*coughs*...

                  ...a...

                       ...a...

                              ...ACHOO!!

                                     ......

Nevermind. I never found a metaphor that stresses on the extremes of coughing. Maybe it's because I've never coughed so much before in my entire life.

But besides coughing, my throat feels like a golf ball. Out of the sneezing, the obvious coughing and the laughing. I laughed my bum off today.

Bringing back old jokes, clean and dirty from the archives of the secondary school life made me laugh till my stomach hurt. I was mentally crazy for nearly an hour just cracking jokes with Joel. Digging up old stuff really is nostalgic and can bring back memories that'll make you laugh for minutes on end.

Cap Goh Meh is over, thus preventing us from betting our pants off. However, we're still addicted to the deck. So how? We started by flicking each other on the fingers and slowly increasing the penalties to sit ups and "Billie Jean" moves. It ended a lil extremely, but not over the hedge :).

So now it's time for me to sleep because I'm dead tired, but before that I need to congratulate the Balloon Buzz Party Centre and Balloon Bouquets for their latest achievement - to be featured on a UK Balloon website. All because of their latest masterpiece,

(Taken from the Balloon Buzz Party Centre Facebook Page)

By the way, I'm referring to the floral balloon arch and NOT the clown.

Congrats again!
So far so good. Monday hasn't killed me yet. It's been a rather good day so far if you don't count the Legal Studies exam I screwed up this afternoon.

It seems to be the dawn of a new era for bloggers in Malaysia. Things have really changed. Once, blogging was a teenage thing. Today, even 8 year-olds have began penning their thoughts on the internet rather than on small lil' diaries with locks on them and a fairly obvious sticker saying things like "KEEP OUT!". Things have really changed through the years.

Journal therapy has long been favored among individuals who have trouble in expressing themselves to others or to society. I'm the one sitting in between. I have things to hide not from society, but from other individuals such as family members and other people whom I do not express myself freely with.

Oh now look at the time. It's Tuesday already. Procrastination is killing me.

Back to the topic. I have no idea why I am blogging like this. probably because my blog has lost popularity and good content over the last few months. The header hasn't changed much since last month after i fell into that stoopid pitfall scam that cost me 95U$D. As you can clearly see I'm still trying to recover.

It's getting late. Somehow in the wee hours of the morning, I always feel like tomorrow is gonna kill me.

I'm so gonna need coffee tomorrow. That's so not my usual routine.

Love,
It's Sunday. The last day of February, the last day of Chinese New Year, the last day to slack before going back to college, the last day to enjoy being at home and sleeping in instead of trying to control your anger in a traffic jam.

Just this morning I took a look into my previous posts dated about a year ago. The quality of my writing has dropped tremendously over the past 2 months. I've been talking more cock than ever before.

Maybe it's the pressures of 18 year-old life, maybe it's the effect of spending Chinese New Year with idiot relatives, of even the possibility of dropping out of college due to the amazing pressure... Somehow I find that I have lost alot of my motivation to blog.

I force myself to come up with new content to keep this blog alive because I love my blog. I really, really love my blog and I put alot of work, time and TLC into making it the beautiful blog it is today. I have sharpened all the mere skill I ever had in image editing with all the headers and content on this blog.

But one thing is for sure, I'm never parting with Drive The Sensation. It is a part of me, and virtually my life in words since 2007. This blog is gonna remain active hopefully till the day I die.

I gotta go. Homework and band practice.

Love,
Daniel

P.S. What band? You'll find out later ;)

©2009 Daniel Jeyachristi Anthony

When I feel like I can't go on, you tell me to go and it's like I can't feel a thing without you around"

6 Months - Hey Monday

Monday blues are BACK, and they're badder than ever.

Instead of ranting from morning till night, I'll do it the other way around this time.

I had lots of faith in Toys R' Us products. However, when I buy Everts balloons, the usual tendancy would be that HALF the pack would be useless, but what's the case when there's only ONE balloon in the pack?

I bought a 170cm Giant on Friday and tried blowing it up, but it couldn't inflate properly so I returned to the Subang Parade Toys R' Us today to return it. They refunded immediately so i went to pick out another one.

All the red ones were gone. the one I picked the last time was red and it was useless, so I picked a green one (they were all green). It looked pretty good until I just blew it up.

One moment, 3 feet wide balloon bouncing on my room floor. 10 seconds later, KABOOM!

You all know what I would have done. Yeah. COMPLAIN. That's me! Malaysian attitude!

So I got hold of the Toys R' Us email and gave them a long lecture on balloon quality and how the sale of such defective products can threaten the decoration and party industry.

Hmm...I wonder what kind of reply i'm gonna get.

Earlier today...hmm. COLLEGE BECKONS. Homeworkhomeworkhomework!!!!!!

There's so much of it and there's only one of me...I know I'm overreacting but that's me. I crack under pressure...

I'mma sleep off the stress.

Oh the laziness in me...

I can't seem to get out of this perpetual distraction. Everytime I wanna get some work done I end up doing something else.

Piles of outstanding assignments and homework await me. Maths, Legal and English being the most prominent. I'm not even halfway through my Legal yet and there's college on Monday...

I'm still in the stupid holiday mood. THAT's why.

Following that, I have not one, not two, but THREE open houses today to attend. One in Shah Alam, a dinner at God knows where and a gambling sesh in Kelana Jaya.

I'm off now. Gotta finish a little bit more work before the rush starts....
Once again, time is moving at her own pace and dragging me along with her. My clock says it's...

11:50!!?!??

Oops, it was upside down. It was 03:11 when I read that.

Now it's OFFICIALLY 3:21 PM. I took a soak in my parents bathtub at 2 thinking it was 3, and I almost got dressed thinking it was 5. I really need to cool down and perhaps take a nap. There's no point going out today because of the exodus heading out of Kuala Lumpur. Them Chinese folks are heading home and SS2's gonna be a ghost town for awhile.

When the time is right I can even lie down on SS2/75 without a worry. The only trouble is when it's late at night and the orientation of the road becomes null and void. I almost got run over by what looked like a Lamborghini Gallardo travelling obviously above 150 km/h in the wrong direction 2 years ago. I was standing in the middle of the damn road (on the divider) and was just about to cross when the deafening roar of that maniac's exhaust pipe brought me to my senses.

It's Chinese new Year folks. The sky is gonna light up tonight as fireworks welcome the tiger.

Tomorrow at this time I'll be on the plane to Miri, Sarawak for my holiday. Sorry I can't bring you a travelogue. I'll be in Mulu for a day and, Miri for another 2 days, and back to Mulu for the last day and then it's back to college the very next day.

Therefore, I need sleep. Now

Looking at the sky watching trees go by. I was the son of a preacher and he was a rich poor man."

Chevette (Remix) - Audio Adrenaline

<s>Tomorrow</s> Today is P1's first Parliamentary debate...and I'll have to become Kevin Rudd for about an hour when that happens. I'mma become the prime minister of Australia for an hour :).

My blog was full of really sad and depressing vents in the past few days so I've come to brighten it up, but still there's one thing that I've been dying to blog about.

(Courtesy of Angry Little Girls Inc.)

Juan Mann's contribution to the world began with one thing - a hug. A simple hug he gave to a woman at a subway station who just lost her puppy and lost her daughter a year ago on the same day.

He was depressed as hell. Juan was an Australian guy who went to London to work. When he was there, however, things turned sour. His life turned upside down. He was forced to come back home with nothing bur a luggage case filled with clothes. Juan Mann became a tourist in his own country.

So he found some cardboard and made a sign saying "FREE HUGS". For 15 minutes people just rudely stared and ignored, until that woman showed up. It started a revolution of hope in Australia. As it spread through the country, it was banned by the police but was lifted soon later. How can you ban love and hope?

"Free Hugs" was made to tell the world that if they can reach out to one person and make them smile fore even one moment, why not? Give them a hug and make them feel loved.

Unfortunately, in the Socio-Democratic League of Petaling Jaya, the people have other thoughts.

When we wanted to plan a psychology experiment, I suggested we march into the food court bearing these signs. Nobody took it up. However, some girls were worse. They only wanted to hug cute and good-looking guys and not nerds and whatnots.

The sign says "FREE HUGS", and not "FREE HUGS (FOR HOT GUYS/GIRLS ONLY)". People who don't look or behave "normally" and are discriminated need a free hug more than the hottie who just broke up with his/her 27th girl/boyfriend. Yes, both of them are depressed, but look who's more important.

Hot stuffs can get free hugs from anyone who comes their way, but a Free Hugs campaign is to give hugs to everyone ESPECIALLY those who need it most. To some, a hug is worth more than a million dollars. To me, a hug is more magical than any spell a fairy can cast.

So if you ever decide to bear the "FREE HUGS" sign, think hard first. Are you willing to give anyone a hug? In the event you display the sign and refuse to give a particular person that hug you promised, it'll be an even harder blow to him/her. Free Hugs have no strings attached, no terms and conditions to abide to and no cost whatsoever. Hope is meant to be spread to everyone, and not just who you fancy.

I'm not scolding or criticizing you for what you girls said, but this is the reality of free hugs. They're really meant to be free. Wanna know more? Go try http://freehugscampaign.org.

Love,
Way down, mark the grave where the search lights find us drinking by the mausoleum door, and they found you on the bathroom floor"

Cemetery Drive - My Chemical Romance

I thought i would be okay this morning, but the odds are against me. More fights, more arguments, less love and no forgivness.

My hands are shaking for no particular reason. I can't operate the computer mouse properly. I'm late for class but I need to calm down. I need to prepare to give the rotten excuses that I prepared in the event that shit like this happens.

It seems to my old folks that having to <strike>drive</strike> push the car to Subang every morning and evening to send me to college is a burden that they bear just to give me a future, and now that I know how scary our assole Malaysian drivers are, I don't want to drive anymore. I value my life though it's pretty worthless.

If you want me to walk my sorry ass home I will, but that's none of your business. I came back on my own accord yesterday, trying to make you all proud of me but what did I get? More lectures telling me what I already know.

So what if I took a taxi? I know I've taken taxis in Cambodia and Thailand and Singapore, but that's because taxi's are FOOLPROOF. You tell them to go somewhere, he may take you 20 rounds around Kuala Lumpur and will still take you there. But even if you pay a bus driver a million bucks he won't drive you to where you wanna go specifically. Maybe our Malaysian bus drivers will, but you get the point right?

I learned how to take a taxi. I know taxis. I can take a taxi to Europe tomorrow if I want. I learned the LRT too. Why? Because I didn't go alone on the first time. I went with others who were more considerate to teach me how to use the system. Besides, the LRT runs on a track and not on a road. What's the worst that could go wrong?

"Daniel, you're 18."

SO WHAT!? IT'S NOT MY GODDAMN FAULT I'M 18! I always hated my date of birth. I hated being a Capricorn. If only the bloody Cesarean was a month later life would be a little better. Really. I miss all the nice birthday bashes and all. I never had a birthday surprise all 18 years of my life beside all the sweet midnight calls, but then I've given up trying to change what I can't. But still, don't make it look like I want to be 18. Being 18 REALLY SUCKS.

I used to be so optimistic, but look at me now. I never knew being optimistic could backfire so badly. I always thought some good will come out of the shitstorm, but nothing good nor hopeful came out this time. I don't think you'll see that smile I used to wear, my sincere smile. For today, if I even do smile, it'll be to hide the pain that I'm going through.

The water supply is cut in my house, and I didn't take my bath this morning. I feel like SHIT.

And PLEASE stop calling me smart. I AM NOT SMART. I'm a stupid teenager who's very laid back and I'm a bum, a very lazy one. If I've ever done ANYTHING right in my past, it's because of a stroke of luck and nothing more. I can never do anything right or good on my own accord. If you keep believing that I'm a smartass then I'll fail you more and more again. I'm an average kid, in fact, I'm way below average. In fact, I'm just goddamn lucky, and my luck is failing me now.

Jesus, I know you put me through this test of faith and I have failed you yet again. Please forgive your son as you've forgiven him before, thought he's done absolutely nothing to deserve it.
Don`t be a baby, remember what you told me. Shut up and put your money where your mouth is!"

Waking Up In Vegas - Katy Perry

I know I'm supposed to be hard at work now, instead of wasting my precious time blogging.

But I can't work, can't think and can't proceed with my work at all, so I really need to take it out here before I go to college tomorrow and start venting on others.

My patience runs very thin when I deal with old conservative nutjobs who have no respect for the younger generation and our changing nature. I got this English essay the other day about how technology pulls society apart. The day when the author of that piece of shit is stuck somewhere with no technology or means of communication I'll personally drive up to him/her and laugh in his/her face.

Seriously, old folks, GROW UP. My father is 70. He has an email address, Twitter, Multiply, and Yahoo Messenger. He even calls me for help to use my PayPal account (this may be one of the ONLY fathers who asks his SON to help with paying for stuffs on the internet. Yay for him!). Even though he doesn't know how to use it that well, he makes an effort to try. Some of you are barely 65 and already have given up on the modern world.

You people are gonna die someday and it'll be because of your ignorance and NOT natural causes. You just wait and see. You're killing yourselves.

On another note, I'm Daniel. I'm not Jesus. I'm not a monkey see, monkey do person. I want the 'why's and the 'what's of everything. When I learn, I learn from others, not by myself. Enough shit happens when I learn myself so I need help. We all need somebody to love and look up to right?

When i said WE, I meant us, the younger generation. You old folks still prefer to sit alone and you complain about us being in front of the computer all day long. We socialize on the internet, idiots. For more than half you paranoid folks, the streets of Malaysia = HELL. So let us socialize like this and SHUT UP if you have nothing nice to say.

Ok. I'm done. Back to...wait now i'm just starting on my homework.

I BE DAMNED.

Love,

Do read this post if you're going through a shitty day. It's something that'll make you feel better. TRUST ME.

<s>It's been a really screwed up day for me...</s>

That's what was going through my mind 3 hours ago at The Ministry of Sound, but not now.

I woke up in the morning and took a pretty quick bath. I came out rather wet and stepped into my room. I forgot that I had the aircond on full blast the night before and I stepped into a chilling room naked trying to get my clothes on.

It's been a really, really hot week. So I grabbed my bermudas and pink polo and headed downstairs for breakfast.

Rain had just started pouring outside as I made my way to college. So I took out my umbrella and worked it till it opened. To college I went and made it late by a few minutes.

Ms. Wu was later though. And at that moment it hit me...I FORGOT TO BRING MY LEGAL STUDIES NOTES!!

I spent almost RM7 printing the whole batch of papers and guess what? The almighty genius Daniel Jeyachristi Jude-Valentine Anthony had to leave it all at home.

So Legal class began, and I honestly confessed to Mr. David telling him that I didn't bring the notes. He's a really forgiving teacher, and I thank God for that.

I love silver linings in clouds. Don't you? A silver lining always GMH (Gives Me Hope).

College ended on time and I headed to Sunway Pyramid with Mika Weixian, Ping Ping and Janice. We booked ourselves a room for 6 at RedBox Karaoke and sang our lungs out till 5pm. Time really flew, but it was a really good time we had.

After we finished I headed to Euphoria to collect my passes for the Rev-Up Facebook party happening tonight. Only the first 600 people who get there will be able to enter, and there I was. First of many.

Now remember that I was in my bermudas? I'm a swakoo in the clubbing scene, so I really don't know about the club dress code.

It wasn't until I was waiting in the lounge when huge bouncer came up to me and told me that I need to be in longs or slacks to enter and I was like...DAMN!

Daddyyyy, can you like...send over a pair of slacks for me?

Oh hell no.

So what did I do? I decided to head home...but not just yet. How could I leave a party without a balloon? I love balloons, and the atmosphere set by the hundreds of helium balloons there was unmistakable.

I walked back to the Pyramid and tried to find an ATM to reload my phone and alas, I ran into the person behind all the little advertisements on this blog. Yes. I ran into Josh Lim. The boss of Advertlets.

Only trouble is, he was on the phone and I was heading home. He invited me over for dinner but I was already headed for home. Just moments later I found the Maybank ATM and reloaded my phone.

I sms-ed Joyce and Nettey about what happened, and just then I swear I heard God say to me these few lines that made all the difference in the night.

"DANIEL JEYACHRISTI JUDE-VALENTINE ANTHONY, you told the world that you wanted to enjoy your youth and would not give up even a second of it. Are you really sure you wanna enter the world of adulthood and clubbing and all? Why not enjoy your youth while it lasts?"

Damn right that changed my night!

It made me smile even though other crappy stuff happened like the traffic jam on the way home, the stares that I got from a couple of Malay dudes who thought tying my balloon to my phone was funny and the fact that I went out looking for the V for Vendetta DVD but didn't find it. All in all, I found so many silver linings in all the shit that happened today, and everytime something lucky or unlucky happened to me today, it just made my smile grow bigger.

It seemed to me that I found happiness for once in my life, through all the pain of a rough and so-called terrible day, I learned that I could smile through the end of it. Sad stories can have really sweet endings.

It's the first week of February. The sun is shining (far too brightly), birds are singing and spring is in the air. The year of the Ox is drawing nearer and nearer to an end. In the midst of the preparations for the year of the Tiger, someone's turning 18 too!

Though we've just known each other for barely a month, I found her an AWESOME person to work with. She's someone whom you can really count on, and she'll never let you down.

She's none other than one of the prime workforces behind the scenes of the first Legal Studies presentation (on the VADER principals) of 2010. She refers to herself as Yuri Kyomoto while we know her as Ping Ping. Either way, she's one year older today!
You're ONLY physically an adult! Don't let that stop you from being a the fun and bubbly adorable girl you are inside!

Without you, the P1 SAM 2010 at Taylors Subang wouldn't be complete. You take our pictures, coordinate our legal presentations and are always there to keep the joyful atmosphere going with your cute self.

Keep that beautiful smile on your face as long as you live dear. It brings happiness to everyone around you, especially us in P1. Enjoy your life being eighteen!

Love and hugs!
My last post left me pretty touched at the awesome-ness of my college class, so much that I'm pretty speechless here. Now I'm bundled up in my snuggie updating my blog before hitting the sack.

I was doing the dishes a few hours ago and watered-down dishwashing paste trickled into a little cut on my thumb. Ouch...Typing's abit slow, sms-ing is tough and MSN-ing is full of typos :(. I still wanna blog though. I love my blog. :)

It had been a while since I scratched decks, so I booted my lappie into Windows, which was SUPER laggy and fired up the turntables. I never felt better though I kept screwing up and forgetting the mixcues. I've really gone rusty. My sampleboard is super lame and the songs are so outdated. Any new club hits worth mixing?

Our billboard grows by the day. It's like a chest of memories of good times spent together. Although very financially inclined, I like the idea. (Thanks Janice!)

So there goes January. Another crazy month. Events of both extremes happened and some of them were really nasty (like the 95U$D scam!) and other stuffs, but it's evened out by things money can't buy. Love, hope and fun. Everything I could ever wish for and more...all in my hands, in P1.

I guess I'll hit the bed now. I can't seem to keep my eyelids from failing me anymore. Besides, a snuggie only covers one side of you. The other side needs to be on the bed for it to work, and that side of me is freezing!!!

Love,

D.A.niel

P.S. What's a snuggie? http://getsnuggie.com - I know you want one :)

©2009 Daniel Jeyachristi Anthony

At times like this I look at my life and toss out all the shit that has happened. I tell myself three words that make a difference to it all.

I AM BLESSED

Really I am. God has given me so much to enjoy in this life. My family, my parents, my friends and now, my college mates. Even though I got a bloody scam in the mail, I still don't wanna take it too negatively. Shit happens, and we've gotta learn from it.

I have a damn outstanding journal stack to finish writing, and on top of that I've got a proposal for my ESL paper to get out of my way. However, this is gonna take a long, long time...and I really have no motivation nor do I have the patience. Gah...

And as for the donation box above, I know it looks like some serious money you gotta put in, but you choose the amount. I don't mind even if it's 1 cent! It's still something right?? Why not put in that little few cents just to even out your bank account statement? Treat it like those donation boxes that take even the one-cent coins!

College life just gets sweeter and sweeter by the day...

I taste sweat and you're nervous, I know. I've seen what faces look like when they're staring you in the eye"

The Heist - Driver Side Impact

DAMN IT!!

I can't believe this shit I am in.

I turned 18 nothing short of 3 weeks ago, and because I felt that it's not worth it sulking and thinking of becoming young again because it won't happen physically, but it's already happening at heart.

So I decided to take on a positive point of view and take advantage of all the benefits that one gets upon turning 18. On my birthday I applied for my Maybankard Treatspoints Visa and entered a whole new world of online shopping.

I made a few successful orders. A new phone charger, a torchlight, a snuggie and computer mouse. It was going really fine until I saw a window of opportunity to start raising funds for the StarWerk dream.

I got into contact with an iPhone wholesaler in China to try to build a business relationship with him so that I could set up a shop, collect profits and channel it to my dream fund.

What happened? I ordered a sample product to test the authenticity of the suppliers products. At that time I was more concerned about the rising quantities of China-imitation iPhones and other devices. I never saw the worst coming.

You guessed it. I got scammed. 95 U$D. Right out of my account.

Now look at me. My dream was broken by Chinese Corruption and my bank account was drained because of my stupidity. I should never have performed the bloody transaction in the first place.

For all of you out there who may have just started shopping in the Library of Infinite Knowledge, here are a few tips.

If you are using a credit/debit card, make sure it's VISA or MASTERCARD. Diners Club and Amex are losing out, but if you really want them go ahead.

Make sure the site in which your transaction takes place has https:// instead of http://

Insist on using PayPal or AliPay. Get an account.

DO NOT USE WESTERN UNION

DO NOT USE WIRE/TELEGRAPHIC TRANSFER

Only use MoneyGram if you're really sure about what you're doing

Get a Verified by Visa password or a MasterCard SecureCode

Make sure your card cancellation details are with you at all times

Prepare for shit to happen. It does. Look at me.

Entrepreneurship is not my cup of tea from the looks of it.

I'm going to bed now. Gotta sleep off the money loss.

Love,
You don't need a prayer and there's no price to ask why."

Answer In The Sky - Elton John

Elton John and Bernie Taupin have a way with words. Everytime I'm caught in the distress of so-called romance problems I listen to some enlightening songs that help us keep to our faiths and beliefs, and their songs have plenty of meaning.

You can kinda see it no? Okay fine. It's always been the case that when I'm in love with someone, someone else is ALWAYS after her too. It's heartbreaking and all because after I've tried so hard and done so much to win her heart, the one with the cute laugh and insolent, moderately stubborn and egoistic playful behavior gets the girl. Sad huh?

Some even say it's the looks. Whatever happened to "It's what's inside that counts."!?

So now I'm back in my safe haven, my room. The place where I can take anything I want out on my computer and my blog. Not forgetting the oh-so-forgiving balloons I used to blow up, bounce around and hug, the knocked up Yamaha junk guitar I have to accompany my depressed and grave voice singing Utopia 25 and the total privacy I enjoy.

I believe in everlasting friendships, so I've made a stand, and decided that a true friend is way, way better than an unwilling lover. So I'mma blow that last chance I've got this February 14th. Yes. I'm blowing it now. I'm spending it single. If it's with someone, it's to celebrate a friendship that'll last forever, and the golden friendship that's nothing short of awesome.

The question is, will you be my friend forever too?

Love,

Untitled - Simple Plan

It's the umpteenth time I have been bitten by the bloody lovebug in my life, and thought it may seem to be all cute and sweet when you're in love, it isn't the same for a person like me who looks like the back of a bus.

I had many personal beliefs that I'm too young to be in love, but somehow I feel like that because I have to finally accept the painful fact that I'm growing up, I'll have to come to the maturity level to be able to love someone else as they would love me.

My feelings are pretty much going wild. If you paid attention to the last post, you'll see something that Drive The Sensation did for the first time.

Yes, that's right. The typo error in the title.

I was THAT frustrated at my so-called friends. Some people whom I trusted before so much turned out to be the ones who hurt me inside.

Hate is something I never do. Hatred brings about nothing positive or good, and reversing hatred is nearly impossible. Everytime I get pissed off and all, I ask myself: Why hate him/her? It's pointless. Why bring about more negativity to an already negative situation? Try to repair it, and if you fail, then it's not worth your time unless you really feel the worth.

Remember her? Ok, maybe not. Old picture. (notice the heart shape, because I won't tell you where it is.)

It's that delicate. How do I know? When love isn't true, the picture above would look different. There won't be a weight there to hold you down. You wanna just fly away and look high and low for someone whose life you can brighten up for just that one moment, and the next moment when they need you, you've floated off somewhere and found someone else.

You're that balloon who's kept from flying free because you want to be there for someone to make them smile and laugh and share everything with. That's true love. The concept of the balloon isn't all that accurate, but it still shows alot. Balloons can pop, love doesn't if it's true enough :).

I'm still infected with all the lovebug venom...so I need to write a song for someone on my heart so that it all comes out nicely packaged and sealed with a kiss.

Bye. Gotta write a song now.

Love,
