Nissa could use one word to describe herself, plain, she just simply was. If Nissa had to use a word to describe her best friend Benton, it would be beautiful, but Benton would describe himself differently as a beast riddled with his over sized body and scars. Benton gets a chance, thanks to a fairy godmother to become ideal man, which he thinks Nissa wants, but he is so wrong and now must decide to do what is best for Nissa despite his insecurity of losing her forever.

Enchanting story, there is more to Nissa than what Benton knows and several surprises along the way. Benton is a bit fragile in some respects, his outer shell is fierce but inside he feels he is not worthy of Nissa. Look forward to more in this series.

This is my first story in the Caedmon Wolves series and it will not be my last. The legend Pf the Caedmon Wolves came to life as the story unfolded and we find ourselves in a world where the wolf shifters are very different and yet, in other ways, they are not. It was a delight to see how this story came to a resolution. Keira and Aiden were perfect together and we could not help but root for a happy ending. As Ambrielle Kirk ends the action in Wolf’s Desire, we know one issue is resolved, but there are many questions to be answered in future stories in this amazing series. Pick up Ambrielle Kirk’s Wolf’s Desire and bury yourself in the pages of Keira’s and Aiden’s story. You will not emerge until the last word has been read.

Review: Beneath the Badge by Donna Alward

Corporal Matt Parker needed a break, accepting a temporary position while another officer is on maternity leave seems to be the ideal escape from a case that still haunts him at night. Vet Lindsay Snow can’t help but notice Matt, he is a fine specimen of man, but she doesn’t do flings or relationships deciding to be alone by choice. When Matt goes on a hunch and seeks her out, the results are electrifying. The problem is neither one is expecting to fall for one another, how do two people who weren’t looking for anything but comfort deal with finding something special.

Another wonderful read by Donna Alward. Matt is haunted by a case that went terribly wrong, while Lindsay has a life filled with dealing with her father’s depression. Both are drained emotionally and feel broken inside and not able to provide what the other needs. Emotionally charged, an exciting installment in the First Responders series.

Rescued by the shifters themselves, Tal meets the one person he wanted to avoid – his destined mate, Alpha King Blazell Roughshire. Dealing with his new mate and trying to find his sister are just a few of the problems Tal has to deal with. A centuries old plot to eliminate his race could be his biggest obstacle – after of course kidnapping, conspiracy and betrayal – to say nothing of his lost memories which include two younger brothers.

Vicktor Alexander starts a new series, Passion’s Hero, for our reading pleasure. In Book One, we learn how the initial plot came about and we know by the end that more is coming. Blaze and Tal were amazing heroes. Tal had no clue how to behave and his responses to Blaze and to some of the titles he was given made for some great reading. You will smile and laugh, frown and cry, but above all you will keep reading and then look for more. The Alpha King is a fantastic story and the best part if that there is more to come. Keep an eye on Vicktor Alexander and the new series Passion’s Hero.

Review: Out-Foxed by Haley Walsh

Skyler Foxe is so upset that Keith outed him without asking that he breaks up with him. Unfortunately the outing has disastrous consequences with protesters picketing the school and a disciplinary hearing scheduled. Then, Alex, the student he had been working with begins to act out again and Skyler fears the worst. Could he have been involved in the death of a teacher? In addition, Skyler needs to figure out what is going on with Coach Carson. Is he using his team to do his dirty work? Skyler is determine to find out what is going on at James Polk High and nothing will stop him.

Skyler can get himself in so much trouble with so little effort. He drags along his friends and somehow the group, with Skyler leading the way, manages to muddle through and get to the gist of the problem. Out-Foxed is the third book and concludes the mystery at James Polk High. Excellently done, we are not exactly sure what is up until the very end. A few surprises are in store for us when we pick up Out-Foxed by Haley Walsh and that is as it should be. Another great job for Haley Walsh.

Jessica can’t believe the man in front of her wanting her help with avoiding his blind date, after all she is the blind date. Justin’s description of the school marmish teacher and all the possibilities of a drab evening have Jessica deciding to have a little fun and turn the tables, Jessica plays a long. After a hot night of passionate sex, both need to come clean about to one another, but before that can happen anther plan is hatched.

Very fun quickie that has you smiling the whole time. Justin is a charmer and Jessica is about to get seduced by the not so stuffy lawyer. Delightful way to take a break with.

House sitting Violet Maison gets a chance to step outside of her normal behavior and sample life as a siren. On a dare she approached Eddie Frazier with a sensual kiss, Eddie would love nothing more but to satisfy the lust inside but the tipsy red-head is not thinking clearly to make that type of choice. When they bump into each other again, they act on their desire but Violet is not the type of woman for a brief affair and Eddie is not willing to put his heart on the line again after a bad breakup.

Entertaining story, I thought it was hilarious the slightly clumsy Violet continues to find herself in trouble as she takes a quick step on the wild side. I thought it was charming how Eddie seems to always to come to Violet’s rescue.

Designer Lex Easton has worked hard for everything she has and when Massimo stops an order of fabrics she needs to complete her collection, she won’t hesitate to pull all stops to get what she wants, his fabric, even if he is the sexiest man she ever met and a few fantasies with her BOB have entertained some lonely nights. Not only has Massimo halted the fabrics, he also plans to launch his own line that bears a similar theme to Lex’s.

Sexy, charismatic, and pure adult fun. The chemistry is full tilt from the first chapter where the war of the roses is laid down. I thought Massimo was the epitome of a playboy, but once Lex is introduced he can’t seem to make heads or tails of the fiery tornado who storms into his palace. Exquisite read
