Lieutenant Derek Tyler is not having the best day, hungover and on his way to a funeral he doesn’t believe it can get much worse.  It does when he hears two women yelling at one another as they are trying to move into the apartment building, as a cop he has heard it all but even the creative language being slung is new to him.  Bumping into his new neighbor is not quite what he expected, especially with a life size Dolly Parton statue and the sensual curves of a body he can’t resist.  Sparks flare and Derek makes it clear what he wants from day one, Ginger underneath him.  Ginger though has no intentions on making it easy for Derek and gives him his walking papers, but Derek is more than determined where Ginger is concerned and doesn’t plan to let anyone else get in his way.

Hot, hot, hot.  Derek is pure alpha yumminess.  He is direct, intense, and full of surprises where Ginger is concerned.  The chemistry skyrockets from the first introduction.  Ginger is quirky, sassy, and has a wicked sense of humor.  Cannot wait for the next in the series, one of the best I have read this year.

Always a guarantee you are in for an exquisite treat when you read a Mari Carr book, Full Moon doesn’t disappoint. I was entranced throughout and loved Josie, could completely relate to what she was looking for and why.  Jake was an instant favorite, he is patient with his pursuit of Josie.  Together they are magical.

Although Caitrin Flint is an excellent tracker, she has never been able to carry out every aspect that would make her a good Huntress. So when she senses two werewolves near her isolated home, it is hard not to worry about what will occur if she must actually confront either of them. When the Alpha of the two arrives at her cottage, her sexual awareness of him is startlingly much more potent than her anxiety.

The reason Eagan MacCulloch came to visit Caitrin is because he wanted to inform her about the dangerous werewolf in the area. However, upon meeting the desirable female, he comprehends there is more to her than she realizes. When it becomes apparent the other werewolf only has evil intentions and is determined to make Caitrin his own, she will have to look deep within herself for answers or lives may be lost.

When a story combines two of my favorite themes, then I am eager to see what will happen throughout the book. Clare Murray certainly gives her Scottish werewolf hero plenty of opportunities to please me, as he is a commanding male yet has a compassionate heart. His striking looks are a bonus, and the way he is so comfortable with his body’s natural state also has added benefits. Getting to see so much of a physically gorgeous male would definitely make me a happy female. Since Eagan is an Alpha werewolf, he is used to his orders being followed but shows only kindness to Caitrin regardless of her reactions. His deep concern for her is another plus point in his favor, thus making me love him even more. The desire between Eagan and Caitrin is filled with sincere longing, and these two do not hold back when they finally give in to the building lust. She has numerous surprises in store for her when two werewolves come onto her property. She also has to make several extremely difficult choices about her life, as she decides what she wants for her future. The threat jeopardizing her existence is very real, and Ms. Murray makes each detail seem genuine. Enough background history is given to make me understand not only what is happening but the basis for why it takes place. Any paranormal elements seem conceivable, as they never had me stopping to question their validity. Clare Murray brings realism to her first paranormal tale, and I would really like to see more stories from her with similar genres interwoven. HUNTRESS UNLEASHED is emotionally heartfelt plus very compelling.

Dinner, drinks, and a sensual night in bed leads to a couple more.  Jesse doesn’t know what is happening between them, but he isn’t ready to let Samantha go just yet, he is hesitant to confess the real reasons why since both of them are just out of relationships, but he is certain this is no rebound.  When a stalker seems intent on eliminating Samantha, Jesse will do anything to protect her but with others looking to tear them apart Jesse knows his time is short with proving to Samantha that he is the one for her.

Loved this story.  I thought Jesse was intense and a bit raw, I think with anyone but Samantha he would have been less open but they have a certain level of understanding that comes across from page one.  The supporting characters are fantastic, I could easily see sequels ahead.  Another wonderful story from Paige Thomas.

Enchanting story, there is more to Nissa than what Benton knows and several surprises along the way.  Benton is a bit fragile in some respects, his outer shell is fierce but inside he feels he is not worthy of Nissa.  Look forward to more in this series.

Aiden, Caedmon Council Member, has spent his life protecting others.  He has never failed in his job and he won’t fail in this latest job.  Hired to protect Keira, no one is more surprised than he when he arrives at her mansion to discover Keira is his mate.  He resolves to protect her at all costs but his wolf demands his mate and the passion between them cannot be denied., even as their lives are threatened.

This is my first story in the Caedmon Wolves series and it will not be my last.  The legend Pf the Caedmon Wolves came to life as the story unfolded and we find ourselves in a world where the wolf shifters are very different and yet, in other ways, they are not.  It was a delight to see how this story came to a resolution.  Keira and Aiden were perfect together and we could not help but root for a happy ending.  As Ambrielle Kirk ends the action in Wolf’s Desire, we know one issue is resolved, but there are many questions to be answered in future stories in this amazing series.  Pick up Ambrielle Kirk’s Wolf’s Desire and bury yourself in the pages of Keira’s and Aiden’s story.  You will not emerge until the last word has been read.

Another wonderful read by Donna Alward.  Matt is haunted by a case that went terribly wrong, while Lindsay has a life filled with dealing with her father’s depression.  Both are drained emotionally and feel broken inside and not able to provide what the other needs.  Emotionally charged, an exciting installment in the First Responders series.

Vicktor Alexander starts a new series, Passion’s Hero, for our reading pleasure.  In Book One, we learn how the initial plot came about and we know by the end that more is coming.  Blaze and Tal were amazing heroes.  Tal had no clue how to behave and his responses to Blaze and to some of the titles he was given made for some great reading.  You will smile and laugh, frown and cry, but above all you will keep reading and then look for more.  The Alpha King is a fantastic story and the best part if that there is more to come.  Keep an eye on Vicktor Alexander and the new series Passion’s Hero.

Skyler can get himself in so much trouble with so little effort.  He drags along his friends and somehow the group, with Skyler leading the way, manages to muddle through and get to the gist of the problem.  Out-Foxed is the third book and concludes the mystery at James Polk High.  Excellently done, we are not exactly sure what is up until the very end.  A few surprises are in store for us when we pick up Out-Foxed by Haley Walsh and that is as it should be.  Another great job for Haley Walsh.
