Can you blog with Dragon Dictation?

Today I will be starting an experiment with Dragon Dictation in order to write my next few blog articles. I think this is potentially an amazing way to produce quality content in a timely manner without overworking your wrists.

So as I move forward writing new content here on my personal blog it will be using the Dragon Dictation program. So far it’s been an amazing experience. I am still learning how to create spaces and how to hit enter but the results have been very positive.

I also plan on doing blog commenting using Dragon Dictation. So when I visit my friends blogs today to comment and engaged I will be using this program and I hope it proves to be productive and efficient so I don’t have to worry about typing any more.

If I had to say there was one downfall it would be the fact that I constantly have to read over what I’m writing in order to make sure it is the correct grammar and order of words. With that said I think the benefits could potentially outweigh the negatives and if they do I plan on using Dragon Dictation full time.

How to improve your search engine rankings

I’ll be honest, I don’t talk much about search engines and SEO because it’s changing so fast I don’t have time to keep up. One thing we can always be sure of is how to help our articles rank higher in the search engines.

The reality of the story is Google still places high value on building backlinks.

Right now I’m a building backlinks machine. I’m enjoy the RSS and Marketing Services of Blog Engage, While at the same time work full time on blog commenting using comment luv to build more backlinks.

In fact I think building backlinks to our internal articles is far more important then the home page. Our articles are the pages that will generate the most traffic from the search engines over time and satisfy the needs of our visitors.

Blog Commenting

This is by far one of my favorite methods of backlinking. I find it helps group us personally as individuals, it allows up to build new relationships while at the same time benefits from all the backlinks we create. When done right blog commenting should benefit everyone involved.

RSS Services

My second favorite method of building my backlinks happens to be automated. It’s obvious why I enjoy this method as it saves me tons of time while submitting my content into may sites for article baclinking.

Guest Posting

I’ve never done guest posting with the intention of building backlinks but let’s face the reality. This is an amazing opportunity to develop high quality back links to your article pages. You have full control over the link and the targeted keywords to us. Remember Google values links inside articles much higher then any social book marking site or blog comment.

So take it from me, the non SEO guy, build your backlinks, get blog commenting and trust me over the next month you will not only increase the amount of comments you’re getting you will also slowly improve your search engine rankings.

This weeks Blog Engage challenge is all about guest blogging and sharing your thoughts on why it’s beneficial as a blogger to guest post.

I’ve been blogging now for three years and I must admit this is one area I haven’t done much work in. I’ve guest posted on famous Bloggers and a few other places but nothing that is to be considered a marketing ploy.

I do however fully understand the benefits of guest blogging and always try to promote guest blogging at blog engage to our members. I think it’s an amazing way to build your followers and create a strong online brand for yourself.

Exposure for your blog

Maybe you just started your blog and your looking to get word out about it. Guest blogging is a great way to tell a larger established group of readers as your post will usually include a plug about yourself and your blog. Just be sure you are guest blogging on a blog that relates to your own blog.

Exposure for yourself

Maybe your interested in getting your freelance writing skills noticed, or your knowledge on a specific topic. Like I mentioned in your BIO you can introduce yourself and give a way for others to get in touch with you.

A link back to your own blog

It is generally acceptable to include a link back to an article you wrote previously on your blog as long as it fits in the article and offers the reader value. At the very least your plug will include a link back to your blog offering you another valuable incoming link. You can also add links into your BIO on most guest blogs.

The Blog Engage Weekly Challenge Uncommon Ways To Monetize Your Blog

This weeks Blog Engage challenge is all about uncommon ways to monetize your blog. The important thing to remember is the challenge requires you to think out side of the box and come up with ways others may not have thought of to generate a revenue from their blog.

I’ll be the first to admit this is not easy and will require some thinking on my part. From the post rules we can’t use the traditional methods such as Google Adsense, Kontera or 125 ad sales for your sidebar.

To provide value to my readers and perhaps search engine visits in the future I’m going to list many methods as opposed to simply one or two. Some you may be familiar with and hopefully others will be new and will help you make money in non traditional methods.

1. Spotlight other Bloggers

Assuming your blog has a high volume of traffic you can spotlight bloggers on your blog for a fee. This is a great way to build on relationships with other blogger while at the same time generating extra income. I strongly suggest only spotlighting bloggers that are in your niche and woudl be an interest to your readers. Simply visit the bloggers blog, use the contact form and pitch the idea of a spotlight for a fee averaging from 5 usd to 11 usd per spotlight.

2. Offer Blogging Services

Offer your own services to your readers. You can write for them, or let them write on your blog for a fee. Traditionally you would let them write for free but if your blog is popular and there is a demand you can simply charge them per post.

3. Offer WordPress Installation Services

Personally I have tons of experience and if I wanted I could offer my expertise with installing, managing and hosting my readers word press sites. I could charge a fee for our services such as SEO, installation and more. Sometimes we take what we know for granted when there’s tons of people out there’s till wondering who they can start blogging.

I’ll be honest this was a very difficult challenge. I hope some of my ideas work out for you and help generate more income on your blogs.

You know when I first started following the Raw Food Blog I had no idea what I was in for. My understanding of raw food is uncooked food like chicken of beef but I can’t express how wrong I was.
