Actually we were looking for the web hosting company in delhi & NCR, then we found a company named as Net4.in, Whose office is in Noida. We purchased Cyber wallet partner plans from Net4.in @ INR 10,110/- in month of November, 2008. The Net.in's sales executive told us about their hosting plans. He offered an economical cyber wallet plan , which was looking attractive and also includes the benefit of free wallet scheme too. It means whenever the customer who is registers under Cyber partner plan going to buy any domain, he will be charged (INR 446/- per domain ) from his cyber wallet and the same amount (INR 446/-) will be credited to the client's free wallet. From that free wallet the client can shop free hosting, database, or more services other than domains without paying any money except tax. Then in Nov, 2008 we took the membership and became a registered member with cyber wallet plan of www.net4.in by paying INR 10,110/- through Cr. Card and a ( CRN ID - 000505XXX) was assigned to us.

The Starting of Problems with Net4.in services:

Ist Case : 1st Order placed for split hosting of 250 MB

Now in month of January, 2009 we purchase 10 domains @ 446 of INR 4,460/-. This amount was deducted from our cyber wallet and the same was credited to our free wallet according to the plan. But now the Nightmare starts when we placed an order to purchased the 250 MB split hosting for our 5 domains. At the time of submitting the order form for the (250 MB spilt hosting plan of INR 2112/-); we checked the option of the free wallet to our free wallet amount (INR 4,460/) but the whole amount was charged from my cyber wallet. On the very next day we complained the sales and support team of Net4.in, But they replied that its the client's fault and the client (we) don't used a right option while submitting the payment form. We requested them to check this technical issue at their end but they rejected to listen us any more.

As a Result : the matter was not solved yet.

IInd Case: 2nd Order placed for Shared hosting 100 MB

For the next order we decided to call the marketing executive before submitting the order, then we made a mobile call to him (SALES EXECUTIVE NAME - XXXXXXXX) and said to guide us step by step in purchasing the next shared hosting plan of 100 MB on Linux, He told every thing step by step and we followed him. This time again we chosen the FREE WALLET OPTION AGAIN; Before submitting the form we took a (print screen/ snapshot) and submitted the order form, Now again this time whole amount of INR 734/- was deducted from our cyber wallet. After this blunder we took is seriously and claimed our money back in our cyber wallet by sending an official mail to the sales executive, support and marketing manager with the snapshot of the order. We also talked the marketing manager and he ensured us to solve the matter in a day or two. But till now the problem is still same, We have done 100's of mobile calls and placed several tickets in support but they are not solving this issue. The company is big looser and provides worse services to their customers.

I advise all interested parties who are looking forward to buy any domain and hosting plan, Please Don't Buy it from Net4.in. The company have worst technical and customer support system.

What was response of the Net4.in marketing and Technical support department?

>>In 1st day When we made call on 01204323500 help desk of Net4.in and want to talk the desired personal, the reception said he is busy or not on line.
>>Next day we again called then but they said the concerned sales executive is on leave.
>>We we again try to approach then they keep us on hold for 25 minutes and after that discounted the line.
>>3rd day again we call at 12:30 on 01204323500-XXX (extension of Marketing manager), And told him the hole story. The Marketing manger (NAME - XXXXX XXXXXX) ensured us to solve the issue on the next day.
>>4th day we tried to talk the desired person and we were kept on long hold and after that the reception desk said that desired is busy on some other line. One the same day we try to talk to him but he used to play hide and seek with us. Then finally we called again to technical support and the response was not quite satisfactory; then said this problem is not on their side.
>>5th day when we made call to the extension of Marketing manager, the attendant said he is not is office. Same day we talked with the concerned marketing executive (NAME - XXXXXXX)then he said the we are sorting out your problem and it will be solved in 1 hour. But till now there is same situation like very first day.

What problem we faced?

>>Lots of stress in mind with loss of time at work hours.
>>The employees are sitting without work in our firm, due to delay in handling this problem by hosting provider (Net4.in)
>>Wastage of Mobile calls after all money is money.
>>Delay in work on Client projects.

Today I look my some site/blog page showing "Public Sercie Ads". Some
site showing Google ads with Public Service ads. I checkout many
others users site, here is same problem. I don't know what's the
problem in Google Adsense ads.

Ads using Widget are showing.but ads inside the html are not.
all blogs are having this problem.

is a Issue With Many Others.

Hi guys,i have also seen the problem----as you remember,yesterday
there was some maintanance on blogger at around 4.00 Pm EST time.I
think this is what is costing us so much.
However don't worry about it.Right now you can only serve ads using
those widget but not using blogger html----am very much affected since
now adsense inside posts on blogger is not possible.The people who can
assist us now are the blogger team not adsense.they might have
tampered with something on the system.Please contact blogger and
adsense on this:Email me on [email address] for discussion on
this.These guys may be booting us,we dont know yet

hello, i agree with you something wrong with blogger.
I have to say i have 10 blogs and i have notice the problems in HTML
TEMPLATES but affects just some format of adsense (for example square
format are showing up correctly).
I suppose this is a temporary issue, because Google as a major earning
from contextual advertising would not make sense Google decision to
stop adsense on blogger. Also for such important update Google would
release in advance a notice about this changing.

Hopefully blogger will come back to normality in some hours

Google is not displaying Adsense on Blogger, But providing Public service Ads. This happened on 23 Jan, 2009 Time : 3:00 PM according to Indian time.

Latest alert, The hottest topic on the web, the google is displaying Public service Ads on blogger platform. over Twitter as many people are reporting and I have noticed too, that the weblogs make on Google’s (blogspot) Blogger service are displaying PSA which has raised concern among many Bloggers across the world wide web … As of yet there is no official word from the Google Adsense Team or Blogger Team as what has caused to this problem or is there any ‘major’ change to their TOS. ?

What is the Solution to come out from the google PSA on blogger.

From the afternoon today, I have noticed that blogger is only displaying up Public Service Ads in my as well as some of my friends’ Blog.

Here are some of the Screenshots of some of the popular blogs [;)] showing up only public service ads.

I has proved that no normal Ads are there because I have not seen any Ad impression and Ad click after 3:00 PM with my blogspot services.

In Fact all blogger user and me too are worried about what’s happening, Its like nightmare. If any one knows please shed some light on it about what might be the Cause etc.

Update : Like my Frd mentioned in his Comment … I checked out and found that Only Blogs Hosted on Blogger are not showing right ad Unit or Link unit on the pages but displaying Up Public Service Ads. God knows when this problem will be fixed…

Calculate your Tax Liability on Income from Google Adsense

Indian professionals and website owners are joining a list of their global peers in earning income through sale of advertisements via Google’s AdSense program. But being a new income head, there has been confusion over the tax treatment of such earnings.

Foremost thing of AdSense receipts for Indian residents is that the income is taxable in India. It can be shown either under the head ‘Income from Business or Profession’ or under ‘Income from other sources’. The deciding factor in this case shall be the nature of work of AdSense publisher. If he is maintaining the blog/ website on regular basis then it can be shown under his professional income while if it is just a part time job and receipts are low, the income can be shown under latter head.

The advantage with showing earnings under Income from profession is that one can claim all expenses related to earning the income as deductions. So, expenses like Telephone/ Broadband expenses, advertisement expenses, books and magazine subscriptions, staff salary expenses, online services, web design, traveling expenses among others would be deducted from professional receipts reducing the tax liability. Apart from this, one can also claim depreciation expenses on purchase of car, computer and other capital items.

Regarding the ledger head, under which AdSense receipts are classified the best option is ‘Professional Receipts - Income from Website‘. There is no need to mention the term Google AdSense in Balance Sheet or Profit & Loss A/c but instead details can be mentioned in each narration entry. Also, keep a stock of all counterfoils of cheques from Google and bank account statements, so that they can used in case of scrutiny by Income Tax authorities.

If you have misplaced the counterfoils that came with AdSense checks, print the statement of earnings from AdSense dashboard.

Another issue that emerges from Google AdSense income is whether the receipts should be shown on accrual basis or cash basis, since earnings for month is normally credited after 2 months. For example, AdSense publisher ‘X’ earns $100 in month of March, then the cheque is made by Google around end of April by converting the $ amount into Indian Rupees at the prevailing exchange rate, which is then sent to the publisher’s Indian address. So normally the cheque would be credited into publisher’s account in May.

For such cases, one can choose either of these two basis, but while choosing cash basis, he has to make sure that only those expenses should be claimed which have been incurred in earning income for that particular month in which expenses are claimed, other wise those expenses shall be disallowed by Income Tax authorities.

Google currently does not have a system of direct credit into Indian bank account unlike Paypal.

Why AdSense publisher is not liable to pay Service Tax?

There are lot of doubts over whether Income from Google AdSense would constitute payment of Service Tax @12.36% since online sale of space for advertisement is taxable under Service Tax.

But the issue is simpler than it seems. The liability of payment of service tax lies with Google and not the blog/site owners. This is because it is Google which sells the advertising space to advertisers through Google AdWords at a rate which is known only to it and publishers only get commission from Google.

As per a ruling, Google is already liable to pay service tax on AdWords at 12.36% and if AdSense publishers also pay 12.36% on AdSense, then this means a quarter of Advertisement revenue would to to the tax officials, spelling a virtual killer for online advertising business in India.

I've already had some experience with the way adsense works. Oh, and did I mention, I've discovered several AdSense NO-NOs. Oh and I also figured out when and why google displays public service ads. I figured that Google will usually display public service ads in one of the following scenarios:

Your publisher ID is wrong or improper. Or perhaps you did not comply to the google TOS.
You tried to modify the adsense code and accidently screw it up.
Google can't find any ads to match the content in the page.
You did not put the code in the template, and put it in a post instead - The thing that you should keep in mind is always have the adsense in your TEMPLATE ONLY. Don't try and put any adsense code into your posts, because it will not work. Instead you'll just get a ugly ad like the one shown below. Why? because once you post the code through most CMS systems the code will not stay in different lines (the linebrakes between the code will be removed), therefore it wont work.
Google might have "flagged" your page? (see below for more stuff on why I think that might be the case)
There was a hardware malfunction that occured at Google HQ.

Google adsense has become a very popular tool for making money from your site by showing advertisements. But sometimes you see PSA - better known as Public Service Ads on your pages. These ads are displayed because adsense has not been able to find suitable ads for your page. Without commiting these 15 Adsense mistakes, here are some ways to remove PSA.

Why Public Service Ads are bad?

Most important fact is that there are no payments for clicks on PSA’s. So even if you have a good CTR (click thorugh ratio), it is of no use.
It spoils the look of your site. Lets say you decided to place a big 160×600 vertical banner on your site and no ad showed, the PSA ads will have big monocolour fonts since one big ad wil be shown instead of 5 ads there, which looks bad to the surfer.

How to remove Public Service Ads?

Develop sufficient good content with keywords on your webpage related to the topic of interest. Google is a great fan of good content websites.
Ensure that META tags like ‘title’ & ‘description’ and the headings tags like h1, h2 etc. have content which matches the rest of your site. They are main ways google judges your pages content.
Add specific keywords in your text which will help the google bot to determine and understand the content of your website. Repeat related keywords which will better help to understand site content. Do not fill your page with simlar keywords, it might work against your favour.
Try to keep the entire website focussed on a particular theme, so that even if the content on a particular page is lesser, the ads wil show.
Do not place multiple ad units if there are not suffcient ads to display on all of them. Also Google TOS do not allow placing more than 3 ad units on a page.
Use section targeting - you can target an ad unit to a specific section of your blog, as well as block out irrelevant sections like navigational links. Useful to get more targeted ads.

Is your site Still showing Public Service Ads?

Google may take time to crawl your site. Although most of the times the ads show immediately, at times it takes upto 48-72 hours for google to assess the content of newly created webpage. This usually occurs if your site has not been indexed before by Google. The time is reduced on newer pages of a site already running adsense. Google claims the ads will get better and more focussed to your pages with time.
Your page may contain objectionable content. This may be against Google Adsense policies. If you feel your page has no such content, then look for any objectionable keywords or phrases which may be present accidentaly. Removing such content can cause PSA’s to dissapear.
Your site maybe using a robots.txt file, which will may not be properly set up and prevent the AdSense crawler from crawling your web pages. Add the following two lines to the top of your robots.txt file:User-agent: Mediapartners-Google* Disallow:
Frames may occasionaly cause difficult in indexing your page. Always remember to tick the Framed page checkbox from the Ad layout code page when generating your ad code. Similarly IFRAME’s also prevent effective indexing and cause PSA’s
There may not be any ads configured to show in your region. Lets say that these ads may be working in United States, but maybe showing PSA is Zambia. This is because Google Adwords payers can select regions where to display their ads, where they believe their target surfers are. After all why should an eye surgeon in US want to promote his service in Zambia? Try using the Google Adsense Preview Tool (works on IE only) which helps to determine probable ads in different regions.
Recheck your Adsense code was inserted properly on your webpage. Do no attempt to modify the code in any way, as it is against their terms of service. Adsense gives enough options to cutomisethe ad colours and sizes to suit your site. USe only the official code available from their site.
Remove session ID’s from urls - they changes every time a different user views a page, and the URL will not be in the indexed everytime.
Reduce your filter blocked urls. This feature is in place to allow you to block competitors ads from showing on your pages. If you block too many such urls, there may not be any advertisers left to display ads.

Official ways to hide Public Service Ads (PSA)

Suggest as altenate colour to display instead of your PSA. This will show an empty space with the background colour you suggest.
Suggest an alternate ad to display instead of your PSA. Your ad will show in that space instead of the PSA if their is insufficient content.
Place a collapsible ad. This ad will collapse and not show any PSA at all.

Removing google public service ads on adsense

You usually get this when you first added your adsense codes to your site. Its alright to get this during this time as adsense wasn't able to get a cache of your keywords yet. It may take some time to get revenue generating ads on your site specially if your content has less meaningful keywords in it. According to the google help center, it would take approximately 48 hours to remove the Gulf Hurricane Relief ad on your site. If its been there for weeks then your copy might have some problems in it.

Editing robots.txt
There are several ways to remove the PSA from appearing on your site, but the most efficient way is to change your content. First things first, your robots.txt might have been configured to disallow adsense crawlers from visiting your site. If you are able to edit your robots.txt file, you may add the following code below:

Disallow:

Avoid iFrames or Frames
If you have placed your adsense code in an iFrame then the crawler will have no way of getting relevant keywords thus displaying in the Public Service Ads. Google crawlers will have a hard time figuring out which content to get for the ads inside frames so its best not to place your ads in a separate frame or simply avoid using frames on your site just to be safe.

Choose your content wisely
Content is the most important factor in determining the adsense ads that is displayed on your website. the more content you the greater chances of getting a relevant ad. Make sure you have enough content for the crawler to read. Also, the google crawler can't read images, audio files, flash content, java applets or anything except plain text. If you have a small amount of content and you have set your ads to display only images then this might be the reason for displaying only PSA ads. Try changing your adsense codes to display text and images ads.

Negative Keywords
Avoid negative keywords, this includes anything that is related to d%ath, sickness, p%rnography, dr%gs, etc. At anytime avoid mentioning these words on all of your content, but opps there you go i have just listed them here anyway.

Avoid automatic refresh
If yous page contains the HTML auto refresh code, it might also be the reason why your site is displaying public service ads. Remove the meta refresh code from your page and observe if the PSA ads have been removed. The meta refresh code looks like this one below, remove them:

Adsense ad in a login page
Placing ads on a page that requires user access does not allow the google crawler to visit the page to get the relevant keywords therefore displaying public service ads instead. Avoid placing adsense code behind a login page.

Avoid Session Ids on URLs
Adsense also relies heavily on the URL to display relevant ads. Having a session id on the url confuses the crawler to ad a relevant keyword because your URL keeps on changing. You may use the input type hidden HTML attribute instead of placing the session id in the urls

Unsupported localization

Should I use the 300x250 Adsense Rectangle or the much wider 336x280 for maximizing clicks? What do I select - 4 or 5 ads per adlink unit ? Will text only ads perform better than text+image ads ? Should I hide the colored border ?

These are some very common questions among web publishers especially those who have just gained admission to the University of Adsense. While the answer is to keep on experimenting, most Adsense experts employ a simple technique called "AB Split Testing" to optimize their Adsense ads.

The basic idea is to display different Adsense formats at the same location simultaneously but randomly. [This is done using the random() function in Javascript that generates a number between 0 and 1 with equal probability]

Here's a sample scenario to help you determine what format works best for your site - 300x250 or 338x280 ?

Step 1: Create two custom Adsense channels - name them as 300x250 and 336x280.

Step 2: Generate the Adsense Javascript code for each of these Adsense formats. Everything will be common in two code snippets except the value of following variables: google_ad_channel, google_ad_width, google_ad_height and google_ad_format.

Step 3: This is an important step, you will merge the two Adsense snippets in such a fashion that each makes an appearance on your web pages nearly 50% of the time. Here's a sample code:

Monitor the performance (CTR, eCPM) of the two Adsense channels for a week or two to know which of the two Ad formats are converting better. [Switch to Advanced reports, select the two Adsense for Content channels and group by both date and channel]

In the next iteration, you may try the same trick with two different color schemes but keeping the Ad format same - just create separate Adsense channels for each color scheme.

If you are displaying Adsense ads on the homepage of blogs or other places where content changes very frequently, it's a good idea to test between Text and Text+Image ads.

The contextual ads may not be very relevant on blog homepage or archives because of the dynamic content and therefore CPM based Image ads may bring in more revenue.
