2019-07-05 7 Countries 24 hours 500km (same as the current Guinness record holder)

2019-08-27T16:29:00.001+01:00

Jaworzynka 🇵🇱🇨🇿🇸🇰🇦🇹🇭🇺🇸🇮🇭🇷Varazdin, 24 hours, 504km, 7 countries (same as current record holder) . 3 personal records for me: most countries, longest ride and finally 24 hour challenge
Not bad considering that I cycled with a touring bike and had to power the LED light with the front wheel dynamo.
And actually reach 7 countries in 22 hours and 40 minutes, but Varazdin is the only station with direct connection to Zagreb as well had my personal challenge to ride exactly 24 hours (no autopause was set on the watch).

2019-05-05 Snowtown -Adelaide (last stage)

2019-05-05T12:58:00.000+01:00

And for the final stage, as expected, intense traffic, weird bike lanes with hour and day times, A1 with and without shoulders and crossing Adelaide with lots of fans into some sport event.
And so that was the last stage of the Perth to Adelaide tour (should be to Sydney, but got delayed in Western Australia).
Never had mechanical issue with the bike! Neither needed to inflate the tires! Just like in Iceland last year (and since switched to that bike tire brand (no sponsor, no brand reference).

2019-05-04 Port Augusta - Snowtown

2019-05-04T11:43:00.001+01:00

Started with lots of rain, which cleared out and as I changed to South, the wind this time was an opponent.
Also this route has much more traffic, making me ride in the shoulders which where not much comfortable to ride on.

Also weird timezone right after leave Caiguna (UTC+8h45m), so added more 45 minutes to the clock (not reflected on the phones that rely on network)

So, as the audience was not relevant to update this blog daily, I have decided to focus more on what matters (hang our with my hosts and prepare the daily journey).
It was another trip to remember, wonderful soundtracks, shared stories, learned as well, lost 20kg in 3 weeks, biked the Monaco GP circuit, climbed the Pyrenees under heavy rain, opposite wind (present on most journeys which forced me sometimes to catch the train and avoid late arrival to my hosts), found interesting secrets, had a lovely chat with the Spanish authorities, cycled in the Autovia (Spanish toll free motorways, and yes, it is legal to cycle there, helmets are mandatory in all Spain), and ended up in the Rock in Rio festival (aka Far Far Away) with a wonderful welcome and all night party!
Stats and all the pics of this trip (more than 600) can be found on the Sports Tracker and Facebook banners of this blog.
And lets's see where next!
