A ladybird in a flowering tree. Actually there were hundreds on this particular tree so it must be a specific variety. The problem with photographing ladybirds is that, unless you get them early in the morning, they scurry around so constantly that its hard to get a clear shot - this was the closest I got from about 20 efforts.

THE PHOTO:
This is probably the strongest shot from my weekend treat to a hot-air balloon ride in the Yarra Glen region just outside of Melbourne. While I can't vouch for the operators in a positive fashion, given the right weather (like we were lucky to have), some of the views are quite astounding. I am looking forward to comparing this rural experience to a future urban one.

I've always wanted to get a shot of hay-bales in a paddock (field), and as you can see I got the shot. It wasn't a perfect day when I passed this location, but a bit of RAW pre-processing assisted.

This was taken north of Daylesford in Victoria.

On of the things to do on my todo list was attend an outdoor movie screening, so last weekend the GF and I went to the Coburg drive-in to watch Whip-it. Quite a cool experience if you have the right vehicle (station-wagon recommended).

Part of last weekend's early morning photo sojourn around Docklands. This being the brand-new ANZ bank headquarters on the Yarra River. An interesting thread about this building can be read here.

I was hoping for a more blue-sky sunrise/sunset look but thought I would put this one up for comparison when I do.
