What I really love about the Internet is that you can instantly find projects and download patterns for all kinds of crafty and sewing projects. Some are paid and some are free, but they all are instant and you can begin working on the project almost immediately! No waiting to get to a store that sells patterns.

One of my favorite places to download patterns is the “You Can Make This!” website. There are hundreds of patterns and projects for download. Many are free projects. They also send out a newsletter that often has free patterns too. You need to register to download patterns from the site, but it is free. I just recently purchased two patterns to make a couple of gifts for my grandson who turns one in April. I ordered fabric for them from Fabric.com, (another one of my favorites!) so I do have to wait for that to start.

I think I have an obsession with purses! I probably have at least 10, maybe more! I like purses! But everything always ends up in the bottom so I have to dig and dig to find what I’m looking for.

I’ve seen the commercials on TV about the perfect purse to organize all your stuff. But I have never seen one purse that I liked. So I searched online for the instructions to make a purse organizer insert… and I found a free tutorial at The Giving Flower for an easy purse insert to make!

I made a few up in no time. I gave one to a friend for a birthday present, put one in my purse, and listed a few Purse Organizers in my Artfire Studio.

I love mine, my purse is organized and it’s easy to grab whatever I need out of it!

A Soft Place to Land

I love to cook. Experimenting with ingredients, spices and techniques. Baking on the other hand is more complicated and you need to be precise. So I tend to seek out easy baking recipes that are hard to mess up.

When one of my dear friends gave me this super simple Lemon Bread recipe, I knew it was just my baking cup of tea! It is so good that you would never guess how easy it is to make!

Lemon Bread

1 Box Lemon Cake Mix
1 Small package instant Lemon pudding mix (can use sugar free)
1 Cup water
1/2 Cup oil
4 eggs

Mix all of the ingredients together with a mixer for 2-3 minutes.
Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

That’s it! You can add 1-2 teaspoons of Poppy seeds if you like. I made a glaze out of powder sugar and a few drops of milk to pour over the cooled loaves.

I am thinking that you could change this recipe up and make other flavors as well. What about a chocolate quick bread? Anyone?
