"I know that if you haven't thought about how you want to present a very packaged idea of yourself then it can seem like you lack ambition. But, dude, honestly? I can't," said Stewart. "People expect it to be easy because there you are, out there, doing the thing that you want and making lots of money out of it. But, you know, I'm not that smooth. I can get clumsy around certain people. Like if I were to sit down and think, 'OK, I'm really famous, how am I going to conduct myself in public?' I wouldn't know who that person would be! It would be a lot easier if I could, but I can't."

Miley Cyrus is the new cover girl for Marie Claire September Issue. She talked about her family, getting in shape and her fiance Liam Hemsworth.

"She's a stubborn little bitch, that one," Cyrus says, her voice tangy and redolent of her native Nashville. "She doesn't listen to me. She's in love with Liam. She loves me when he's gone, but she totally ate my diamonds on purpose. She was pooping them out all morning!"

"If Liam is traveling and I'm feeling creeped out, I can go to my parents'. Or I'll walk over there in the morning for coffee. It's really weird [sleeping] in my parents' room. Now it's my room, and Liam is at my dad's sink and I'm at my mom's. It's really strange, but also really cool. The first time I ever met or hung out with Liam was here. When he first moved to America, he didn't have any family here, so our family became his. This is where all our memories are being made."

Meester may have swanned into our consciousness as the breakout star of Gossip Girl, but as the show stares down what may be its final season, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the 26-year-old actress is both of the Gossip Girl brand—really, its irreplaceable center—and also something beyond it. Her movie roles don’t look anything like Blair Waldorf, whom The New Yorker’s ever-astute Janet Malcolm called “an anti-heroine of the first rank: bad-tempered, mean-spirited, bulimic, acquisitive, endlessly scheming, and, of course, dark-haired.” It’s a testament to Meester’s range that she’s already played a Southern beauty queen-turned-country singer alongside Gwyneth Paltrow in Country Strong and costars as a beleaguered bride-to-be who bellows things like “Throw it, you big vagina!” in this summer’s That’s My Boy alongside Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg. Seriously: a Sandler movie. How does that work exactly? Meester’s preternatural poise doesn’t seem a natural match for gross-out comedies targeting adolescent boys of all ages.

I’m not embarrassed about it. I’m proud of it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, What an actress! What a faker! That thought embarrasses me so much that I look like shit in half my photos, and I don’t give a fuck. What matters to me is that the people in the room leave and say, ‘She was cool. In Vanity Fair’s April 2012 cover story, Oscar winner and Mirror, Mirror actress Julia Roberts tells contributing editor Sam Kashner how Meryl Streep’s daughter gave her precious insight into raising kids as a famous mom. According to Roberts, her children have yet to understand what it means that their mother is a celebrity—but she talked to Grace Gummer about her own realization. “Grace comes up and goes, ‘Gosh, it’s so sweet seeing all your kids on the set. It reminds me of when I was little, and I would go see my mom at work.’ I asked, ‘Were you happy?’ Suddenly, I thought, here is a source of information,” Roberts says. “I said, ‘How old were you when you realized your mom was Meryl Streep?’ She said, ‘I think I was probably nine when I put that all together.’ I said, ‘Were you cool with it?’ She said, ‘Yeah, it was fine. There was no trauma.’ So that was hopeful.”
