Hubba Hubba Revue's Love Cruise departs SF's DNA Lounge tonight!

Tonight, step aboard the S.S. Hubba Princess and prepare for a sexy cruise! It's time for the Hubba Hubba Revue Love Cruise at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco!

It'll be the best of shipboard burlesque, aerialists, and comedy with performers such as Lola Martinet, Bombshell Betty and her Burlesqueteers, Miss Honey Penny, Pickles Kintaro, Sgt. Die Wies, Rosalynn La Roux, Miss Balla Fire, Casey Castille, Bunny Pistol, Sparkly Devil, Lady Satan, and more than the ship's capacity for fun!

With dancing to music from DJ Starr, and a naughty-yachting costume contest, there's no excuse to hide in your staterooms! Come to the Lido Deck and join in the merriment!

There will also be goodies and a giveaway from the upcoming documentary "Crazy Horse," which opens in the Bay Area on Friday, March 2 at Landmark's Shattuck Cinemas in Berkeley, at the Rafael Film Center in San Rafael, and at a TBA Landmark theater in San Francisco, probably the Lumiere or Opera Plaza. This film by Frederick Wiseman examines the famous Parisian cabaret club and the unveiling of the brand new show "Désir" by the renowned French choreographer Phillippe Decoufle.

The DNA Lounge is located at 375 Eleventh Street in San Francisco (map). The doors open at 8:00 p.m., and the show departs at 9:00. Red Hots Burlesque this week, Homobiles fundraiser, School of Shimmy classes

This week at El Rio, catch the Red Hots Burlesque shows plus a fundraiser for Homobiles! Plus, there are upcoming classes offered by the RHB School of Shimmy happening at various locations!

This Wednesday and Friday evenings, see two different RHB shows! On Wednesday, see talents such as Lola Martinet, Rizzo Rogue, Rosalynn La Roux, Marga Gomez, and Dottie Lux perform. On Friday, see performances by Nomy Lamm, Ruby Rouge, Clavicle Cupcake, Miss Twin Peaks, Vixen Noir, and more!

El Rio is located at 3158 Mission Street in San Francisco (map). Both shows on Wednesday and Friday start at 7:30 p.m., and entry to the shows is on a sliding scale from $5.00 to $10.00.

Nomy Lamm is a singer, accordion player, performance artist and vocal coach. Her band, nomy lamm & THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, is a flexible platform for collaboration with everyone and everything, including other musicians, visual artists, puppeteers, poets, spectators, and the moon. She performs regularly with Sins Invalid, creating musical dreamworld performance art about disability, sexuality and social justice. She has toured with Sister Spit and the Sex Workers Art Show, co-created the post-apocalyptic genderqueer rock opera "The Transfused," and last summer had the honor of touring the country with the illustrious unicorn chantreuse, DavEnd. She is currently working on her MFA thesis, a collection of short stories called "515 Clues," and writes an advice column for Make/Shift magazine called "Dear Nomy." Looking for some last minute Valentine's Day events, whether you have a Valentine or not? Tonight, there are a number of shows that will fulfill your Valentine's Day desires. Note that the minimum age for all of the shows is 21.

Valentine's Cabaret D'Amour will be happening at BeatBox starting at 7:15 p.m. It will be a show filled with jazz, dance lessons, aerialists, love advice, and dancing girls! This Monday, February 13, there's an opportunity to see a free advance screening of Frederick Wiseman's documentary "Crazy Horse" at the Shattuck Cinemas in Berkeley as well as gain free admission to the Hubba Hubba Revue show at the Uptown Club in Oakland after the screening!

About our FEATURED Performer:
Nomy Lamm is a singer, accordion player, performance artist and vocal coach. Her band, nomy lamm & THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, is a flexible platform for collaboration with everyone and everything, including other musicians, visual artists, puppeteers, poets, spectators, and the moon. She performs regularly with Sins Invalid, creating musical dreamworld performance art about disability, sexuality and social justice. She has toured with Sister Spit and the Sex Workers Art Show, co-created the post-apocalyptic genderqueer rock opera "The Transfused," and last summer had the honor of touring the country with the illustrious unicorn chantreuse, DavEnd. She is currently working on her MFA thesis, a collection of short stories called "515 Clues," and writes an advice column for Make/Shift magazine called "Dear Nomy."

Cabaret Perilous happens tonight at Oakland's Uptown Club

Tonight, the Hubba Hubba Revue will have their Cabaret Perilous at Oakland's Uptown Club. Tonight, the performers will include Vienna La Rouge, Vera DeVille, dare-devil Molotov, hoop artist Revolva, and more! Plus music from heavy metal meets bluegrass band, the Gravel Spreaders! The show will be hosted by Kingfish and Sparkly Devil.

The Uptown is located at 1928 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland (map), which is about a block away from the 19th Street Oakland BART station. The doors open at 9:00 p.m., and the show is scheduled to start at 10:00. Entry is $10.00.

Red Hots Burlesque's Tribute to The Cramps and Go Deep this week

Red Hots Burlesque presents their Burlesque Tribute to the Cramps this week, plus women's lube wrestling spectacular Go Deep on Thursday at El Rio.

This Wednesday and Friday, Red Hots celebrates the life and career of The Cramps' front man Lux Interior. Red Hots' February featured performer of the month will be the great Nomy Lamm and The Whole Wide World, which will be performing on Friday! The two shows will have guest hosts Eva Von Slut and Honey Lawless, and feature such entertainers as Patricia Misery, Francine Dead, Bunny Pistol, Ruby White, and Lady Satan! See below for each evening's full talent lineup.

The shows both evenings start at 7:30 p.m., and El Rio is located at 3158 Mission Street in San Francisco (map). Cover is on a sliding scale from $5.00 to $10.00.

Nomy Lamm is a singer, accordion player, performance artist and vocal coach. Her band, nomy lamm & THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, is a flexible platform for collaboration with everyone and everything, including other musicians, visual artists, puppeteers, poets, spectators, and the moon. She performs regularly with Sins Invalid, creating musical dreamworld performance art about disability, sexuality and social justice. She has toured with Sister Spit and the Sex Workers Art Show, co-created the post-apocalyptic genderqueer rock opera "The Transfused," and last summer had the honor of touring the country with the illustrious unicorn chantreuse, DavEnd. She is currently working on her MFA thesis, a collection of short stories called "515 Clues," and writes an advice column for Make/Shift magazine called "Dear Nomy."

Please welcome debut performance by visiting performer Cherry Contrary: originally heralds from Seattle but has spent the past seven years in London. Staying true to Burlesques original meaning of 'satire', her performances are haphazard, silly yet seductive, with a sprinkling of feminism and social commentary. Miss Contrary started her burlesque career in 2005 and has been performing consistently across the UK. Highlights have been performing at Leeds, Glastonbury, Secret Garden and Download Festivals, as well as opening for the Dresden Dolls on their UK tour and participating in the Skin Two Rubber Ball in 2007. She performs regularly for The Whoopee Club and Ohmygodimissyou!, two clubs forefronting the London new burlesque scene. She was also nominated for Performance Artist of the Year at the Erotic Awards 2006.

Vaudie's first time performing burlesque was her freshman year in high school in a production of "Guys and Dolls."She has been involved with over a thousand events in hundreds of venues between Southern California and Northern Washington. She wants to learn all aspects of "show business," and let's just say she's well on her way.
Not only does she direct the world's only cannibalistic can-can troupe called The Can-Cannibals, but she is also the co-creator of the dynamic burlesque duo The Dishrag Dollies, dances with the esteemed French Can-Can troupe from San Francisco, Le CanCan Bijou, and performs solo burlesque, cabaret and sideshow acts. On top of that she produces concerts, events, and her own variety show called the Punk Rock Cabaret for the Oakland Pyrate Punx. She will undoubtedly bring a huge smile and a unique freshness to all of her endeavors.
