‘So, help me. It’s not fame I seek with all this writing; it is brother spirits, companion souls, someone like me – a flickering flame sitting in the darkness wondering how not to die out.’

Solidarity will stop the flame from dying out. And solidarity is not a fickle thing, a weak thing or a vain thing. It is love slogging it out even in the most brutal of climates. Keep writing, O, companion in our suffering and articulator of our hopes. Keep writing. We read to know we are not alone, but ‘we write also to do the same’ – that’s what you once wrote. Keep writing, O troubadour for our days:)
