Light House is a private family house in Centrumeiland, Amsterdam — a vertical composition of stacked volumes, glass blocks, steel grids and filtered daylight. Instead of following the conventional logic of rooms arranged floor by floor, Studioninedots turns the house into a spatial collage: each domestic ritual gets its own box, suspended within a larger field of air, voids and light.

The facade is both protective and cinematic. Square glass blocks blur the boundary between privacy and exposure, allowing the life inside to appear as a soft abstraction from the street. Inside, the house unfolds as a sequence of platforms, intimate pockets and dramatic vertical connections, with the kitchen acting as the social core and the upper room opening toward views of IJmeer.

Minimal, industrial and quietly experimental, Light House feels less like a traditional home and more like a living framework — a machine for family connection, light and movement. It is architecture reduced to essentials, but arranged with a playful, almost avant-garde precision.

Hang-It-All designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1953, is not a coat rack but a playful system where color breaks hierarchy, hooks behave like constellations, function becomes movement, and everyday routine turns into a quiet act of rebellion, reminding us that modern design can be logical, emotional, and joyful all at once.

Plaj House by Extrastudio is not a retreat, but a radical gesture inscribed into the Portuguese coastline. Emerging from sand and wind, the structure blurs boundaries between house and landscape, solid and fluid. Concrete planes and raw geometries dissolve into the horizon, evoking both ruin and rebirth. This is architecture as a living artifact — elemental, sculptural, and unafraid to confront the vastness of the Atlantic with its own bold silence.

The Boathouse is located at the Isle of Sokn outside Stavanger on the Vest coast of Norway. Espen Surnevik’s work is not a retreat but a resonance — a structure suspended between past and possibility, echoing memory while projecting forward.

The structure preserves the old boathouse function at its base, while the new volume ascends above it like a rebirth. Clad in oxidized zinc, the façade absorbs the salt, wind, and storms of the North Sea, transforming with time into a raw, elemental skin.

Naust is not nostalgia, nor is it pure modernity — it is an experiment in continuity. A fabulation of regional architecture where heritage and horizon collapse into one seamless narrative.

The project is a small vacation home built on a two-hundred-year old boathouse-ruin in a heritage costal landscape. The new building investigates how new ways of building still can bring on the history and the building traditions, of the past, into a new era. The old boathouse-function is kept under the new part of the building. The top is cladded in oxidized zinc to protect it against the especially hard weather form the North Sea. The projects occupation has been to connect past and future together in a fabulating regional Architecture.

Maison Margiela Fall 2025 is a haunting symphony of decay and rebirth. Glenn Martens transforms the runway into a crumbling cathedral, where models emerge as post-human relics wrapped in metallic velvet, vacuum-sealed plastics, and antique wallpaper prints. Masks conceal identities, evoking ritual and anonymity. The collection fuses couture with dystopian folklore—part ghost story, part sci-fi opera. A finale of emerald green hints at regeneration, closing a show that feels both apocalyptic and transcendent. This isn’t fashion—it’s resurrection.

The Mobile Chandeliers are carefully crafted structures that are designed to be perfectly balanced. They are created using the principles of a mobile and are composed of linear tubes, geometric light sources, reflective surfaces, and counterbalancing weights. The components of each chandelier are individually tailored to ensure that they are balanced, with approximately 200 hand-crafted patinated-brass pieces that are unique in dimension and compositional balance. The varying weight of the mouth-blown opaline glass means that each chandelier is unique.

The Mobile Chandeliers are an excellent example of graphic minimalism and their delicate rotation creates an ever-changing lighting configuration that is unique to the space they occupy.

This family of floor lamps proposes an interchangeable lighting solution attached to a marble block. The exercise is an attempt to provide minimal support for the linear lighting elements through the simple gesture of touching the marble base with an invisible magnetic connection. The result is a distilled composition of basic elements.

The Greek philosopher Socrates urged young people to look at themselves in mirrors so that, if they were beautiful, they would become worthy of their beauty. The Beauty Mirror takes inspiration from those ancient polished surfaces, offering a reflective image with a golden glow. This mirror challenges the notion of what a true reflection is, both in terms of consistency and colour.

Consisting of a series of arranged, powder coated rectangular and circular shapes, Meta’s appearance changes from delicate and thin, to substantial and full depending on the viewing angle. Featuring multi-directional storage for your reading material and an even top for decorative accessories.

The modular Standard Sofa series is New Tendency’s first upholstered furniture system, available as an armchair or a two- or three-seat sofa and intended for use either in combination or individually in private or public spaces, such as business lounges and hotel lobbies. With its compact powder-coated aluminum frame, which appears to float elegantly above the floor, the Standard Sofa reinterprets an archetype. Defined geometric shapes, clean lines, and carefully-balanced proportions lend the Sofa series its refined and yet monumental appearance.

Stepping back discreetly in form, it is suitable for creating a wide variety of indoor light scenarios.

The result of a carefully curated take on an existing series of products, the Brass Architectural collection brings together the simplicity and elegance that characterises Michael Anastassiades’ aesthetic. Through a formal economy of shapes and materials, these architectural features call for an understanding of luxury as a discreet presence: glass, brass and nickel articulate a geometric, minimalistic alphabet of forms that adorn the space with luminosity akin to a piece of jewellery.
