Forward iPhone Voicemail to Google Voice

For all the cool kids with both iPhones (or any GSM-based phone) and a Google Voice (previously GrandCentral) account, forward your unanswered calls to Google Voice to receive the voicemail and a transcript in your email account.

Step 1:
On you iPhone (or any GSM-based phone), pull up the keypad and type the following, substituting 1234567890 with your 10-digit Google Voice/GrandCentral account:
*61*1234567890#

Step 2:
Log in to your Google Voice account and turn on Do Not Disturb mode.

That’s it. All unanswered calls to your iPhone will instantly be dropped in to your Google Voice voicemail.

To restore your iPhone to the original visual voicemail settings, pull up the keypad and enter:
##61#

Your settings will be restored.

I just reached an agreement to sell the vast majority of my domain names. When the deal is completed – in about 45 days – I’ll be down to roughly 150 or so domains.

In the last two years, I’ve been selling them off on in chunks after hitting a high of over 2200 names; for no reason in particular other that I have felt I’ve over-extended my time commitments many times over. Most of which had some form of parking revenue, and a small handful of those were subsidizing the rest. My first culling was of names bringing in less that 35% of their annual registration fee most of those were left for expiration. I had two additional divestitures of under-performing names within the last year.

A few weeks ago, I made mention of my names to playing partner in a golf scramble. He knew a guy who knew a guy who knew a guy that has a few thousand names and one thing led to another. He contacted me, asked if I was interested in selling and what I had available. He made an offer, I countered, we met somewhere in the middle and it is a done deal.

I still feel domain name investing can be highly profitable, but like many outside ventures, the time involvement can be prohibitively expensive. With two kids (almost 2 and almost 4), I’ve place a huge premium on my free time the last few years and this one of those things that had reached a critical decision point.

My needs:
1. An experienced Joomla developer. This project consists of integrating a custom design into Joomla’s template structure.

2. Wordpress Theme developers. If you are a rockstar at converting existing designs to Wordpress themes, I have a need for you. Include a typical turnaround time in your email.

3. Experience, Intermediate Web Developer. Legacy ASP & Microsoft SQL Server experience are required, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL are a plus. This job has full-time potential (in Omaha, NE), please indicate if this of interest.

4. A Constant Contact custom template developer.

All freelance work can be progressed billed monthly and I have net-10 payments. For single projects with less than a 30-day duration, I can work within an %upfront/%upon completion payment option.
