The Tri-State Memorial Free Skating Championship will be held April 23-25, 2010 at the Pavilion Skating Club in Cleveland Heights. The deadline for entry is March 15, 2010. The Ann Arbor Springtime Invitational will be held May 20-23, 2010. The application deadline is March 31, 2010.
Please note: The Strongsville Skating Club will be hosting their Spring Fling April 17-18, 2010 at the Hoover Arena in Strongsville. The deadline for entry is March 5, 2010 extended until Wednesday March 17, 2010

Thornton Park Ice Rink is OPEN Friday February 26, 2010 which includes the PSE Clinic scheduled for 4:45-5:15 and Club Ice scheduled for 5:15-6:15. The City of Shaker Heights has a recreation hotline available at 216-491-3143. In the event of a closing of Thornton Park Ice Rink, it will listed on this hotline along with all other cancellations and closing within the Shaker Heights Recreation System. This hotline number is also listed on the CONTACTS page for future reference.

Event Group Details

Schedule of Events

Practice Ice

One hour of practice ice will be available each day prior to the start of the competition–10:00 am-11:00 am on Saturday and 8:00 am-9:00 am on Sunday.   You may purchase the ice at the door. The cost is $10.

Photography/Video

Motophoto will be on site to take action photos and will be selling them at the event.    We do not have a videographer. You are welcome to videotape the event so long as you are not obstructing the view of the officials, Motophoto or other guests.

Food/Refreshments

Thornton Park is thrilled to announce that 32 Degrees Cafe will be in operation during the entire event.   They will be offering hot breakfast, fruit, yogurt, hot entries, soup (in addition to the regular concession foods).

Vendors

The Bag Lady will have a table our event.  We also will have a medal engraver on site.

Location

This event will be held at Thornton Park Ice Arena - 3301 Warrensville Center Road, Shaker Heights OH.   There is ample parking available.  The event is free – ask friends and family to attend and cheer on your team!
