This is a view over the bridge at Blennerville, County Kerry, Ireland, a popular tourist area. Very near here is the famous Blennerville Windmill. Sir Rowland Blennerhassett built the Blennerville Windmill in 1800, by 1846 the windmill had fallen into ruins. In 1981 the Tralee Urban Council purchased the windmill and has developed it as a tourist attraction. See www.focuskerry.com/james/picthist.html for more info.

This is the Foynes Estuary, County Limerick, Ireland.

The Foynes estuary is where the first flying boats from Ireland to America took off from. When John F Kennedy toured Europe as a young man in 1939, he returned to America on a Pan Am 'Dixie Clipper' flying boat from here. Nowadays, there is a great flying boat museum here. The Kilkee 'Pollockholes'

These are the 'pollockholes', small rocks off the shore near Kilkee, County Clare, Ireland. During the summer tourist season, they are a popular relaxation spot for locals and tourists alike.

Although it may appear as though this picture was taken at either dawn or dusk, I actually took it at midday, and then photoshopped it later.

This path is part of the garden outside the Museum of Country Life, Co Mayo, Ireland, The only national museum in Ireland outside Dublin. In the distance is a turlough, a seasonal lake. Hundreds of years ago, before and after The Great Irish Famine a rich landlord used to live here on his estate which was a couple of thousand of acres in size.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any description or plaque explaining what this statue commemorates.
