If you have photos on your Google Drive, let’s get started!

1. Go to www.getloupe.com — Click on MAKE YOUR OWN

2. Click GET STARTED

3. Click on the GOOGLE DRIVE TAB to make a collage using photos from your Google Drive

4. CONNECT with Google Drive. Once you have connected, you are able to grab photos from your Google Drive and also save your collages to your Google Drive too!

5. The photos from your Google Drive should show up. It should look like this:

6. Select the photos you would like to use in your photo collage and click ADD PHOTOS

7. There are over 100 shapes to choose from. Select the shape you would like and watch as your photos automatically form a shape collage!

8. After, you can save your collage. You can save your collage publicly or privately. By saving it privately, only people who have the link to your collage will have access to your photo. By saving it as a public collage, your collage will be included in the Loupe Gallery. Read more.

9. Once you have saved your collage, your collage has it’s own unique url or link. You are able to access your collage again with the url.

9. You can save your collage to your Google Drive too!

10. You can also share your collage via Facebook, Twitter, Email and embed your collage into your blog.

You may have noticed that you have recently been able to save your collages to your Google Drive. With the integration of Google Drive’s API v2, you are now able to make a collage using your photos from Google Drive too!

Google Drive allows you to store and access your photos anywhere — on the web, on your computer, or on the go. Imagine all your files, photos, documents, videos all in one place, online!

Yes, that means that you are now able to upload your photos from your computer onto Google Drive before making a photo collage. Previously, you were only able to use images on the web, but now you are able to add any photos from your computer into your Google Drive, and from there, make a Loupe collage.

How do you add photos to your Google Drive?

Here’s how it works:

1. Go to Google Drive on the web at drive.google.com.
2. Install Google Drive on your computer or mobile device.
3. Throw your photos into Google Drive. It’s right there on your device.

HOW TO: Make a Photo Collage Using Photos from Google Drive

The Google App Pack contains popular educational apps found in the Chrome Web Store. Each pack includes a variety of educational tools made directly available through the Chromebook Management Console. Google launched the App Packs available for Google Chromebooks for Education at the ISTE conference, a conference that teaches teachers how they can bring innovation into their classrooms.

With the Chromebook Management Console, teachers are able to publish apps directly to each student’s Chromebook in their network. That means that you are able to install Loupe onto every student’s Chromebook with one click.

1. You can scroll over images and see enlarged version

 
2. If you click on an image, it will take you back to where the image or video was from

3. You can manually change the size of the interactive photo collage.

4. It’s interactive!

How do I embed my Loupe photo collage on my blog?

1. Click on the Embed Button

2. Copy and paste the Embed Code

3. Go to your Blog and add a new post. For most blogs hosting websites, you should find a “HTML” Button. Click on the HTML button. (For more info, read: Tumblr,WordPress, Blogger)

4. Now paste your code where you want the interactive photo collage to be. Publish your new post and voila!

5. The height and width is currently preset but you can adjust it to fit your blog in HTML.

How do I get a Loupe Bookmarklet?

1. Chrome Users: Display your Bookmarks by clicking the Wrench Icon > Tools > Always Show Bookmarks Bar

Internet Explorer Users: Display your Favorites by clicking on Tools > Toolbars > Favorites Bar (selected means to show)

2. Click and drag this button to your bookmarks bar: Loupe

3. Once you drop it on the Bookmarks Bar, it should look like this:

4. Go to any website with images. It could be your favorite blog, Pinterest board, Tumblr or search for the images you want. For example, here is Jeanne/ Shop Sweet Things’s “My Style” Pinterest Board. To grab the images from her page, click “Loupe” on your Bookmarks/Favorites Bar.

5. Once you click on the link, you will automatically be brought to Loupe’s dashboard where the images are available for your collage. Select the images that you want in your collage.

6. Select your Shape

7. Watch the magic!

8. If you hover over the photos, you will get an enlarged version of the photo. If you click on it it will take you to where the photo originally is from.

And there you go! You have made a collage of your Pinterest’s photos. Try making a collage of your favorite blog or putting together a blog post with your favorite photos! Read the Handbook for more HOW TO’s.

1. Go to getloupe.com

2. Click on “Get Started” and then Add Photos

3. Click on Search and type in the celebrity you would like to make a collage of.

4. Select the images that you want to use in the collage. You can also “Select All”. Then Click on Add Photos

5. Select the Shape that you want to use. We chose a heart because we heart Osric Chau from Supernatural! Remember, you can select the text option and write out their names too!

6. Once you’ve got your final collage, right click on the collage. Click “Download Collage” or “Save As”. You can save this anywhere on your computer including your desktop.

7. Copy and paste the link to your new celebrity collage. In this case, the link to the collage of Osric Chau is: http://www.getloupe.com/v/2hadfigx

8. Open a new browser or window. Log into your Facebook account. Decide what you want to say on your status update. For example “Here’s a photo collage of the newest Supernatural star Osric Chau (as Kevin) appearing May 4!“. DO NOT PRESS POST YET!!

9. Add the direct link to your status update. It should now read:

“Here’s a photo collage of the newest Supernatural star Osric Chau (as Kevin) appearing May 4! http://www.getloupe.com/v/2hadfigx” DO NOT PRESS POST YET!!

10. Now click on “Add Photo/Video”. Select the image from where you saved your collage. DO NOT PRESS POST YET!!

11. Now before you post, you want to make sure that you have “tagged” any official celebrity pages. So for example, in this case, we are going to tag “Supernatural” and “Osric Chau”. It should look a little like this:

12. After you have tagged all necessary key words or celebrities (to get their attention), double check to make sure everything is in place:

a) Comment/Status Post
b) Link to your collage
c) Uploaded the collage image
d) Official Celebrity Page

13. Once you have double and triple checked to make sure everything is in place, YOU CAN CLICK POST!

14. WAIT! You are not finished yet. Click on your newly updated status post. It should look like this:

15. Now go ahead and tag your collages with more celebrity fan pages. In this case, we will tag all the Supernatural fan pages.

16. Now go to your Facebook Profile Timeline and click on the Star to highlight your new celebrity collage!

17. And… Voila! You are done. Do not forget to tweet your collage to the celebrity!

ps. Have you posted a collage of Justin Bieber or One Direction on Facebook yet?

Private collages will not show up in the gallery but you can still share it with your friends and family through Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.

What do you mean it’s private? How can I share it with my friends if its private?

It means that your collage will not show up in the Loupe Gallery but the link to your collage is still active. If you do not advertise the link, no one will ever see the collage. The only way someone will see your collage is if you share your collage link with them.
