TEDxCLE 2012 planning is in full swing and we have a number of exciting announcements to share with you!

First, given the (fortunate) problem of TEDxCLE 2011 selling out in less than 2 hours due to increased interest in the event, we have decided to move to a larger venue. We are proud to announce that one of our sponsors for TEDxCLE 2012, The Cleveland Museum of Art, has graciously offered to host the event at the stunning Gartner Auditorium. In addition to providing an additional 300 seats for this year’s event, this venue is equipped with state of the art sound and lighting solutions – which should only enhance the TEDxCLE experience that you have come to enjoy. If you haven’t visited the Gartner Auditorium, you are in for a real treat!

Second, a few key dates to add to your calendar:

TEDxCLE 2012 will be held on Friday, April 20th, 2012 (additional details to follow)

Tickets will be available on Monday, March 19th, 2012

Speakers will be announced on Monday, March 12th, 2012

Please continue to submit speaker nominations (which we will be taking until Friday, February 17th). We look forward to seeing you at TEDxCLE 2012!

Jeff Harris' portrait-a-day project offers encouragement for those that struggle with new year's resolutions.

A friend/colleague of mine that I’ve mentioned here before (Tim Logan) shared the following link with me. I found it particularly inspirational at this time of year when many of us are making new years resolutions. Jeff Harris (Toronto-based photographer) started a resolution of taking one self-portrait a day back in 1999. A resolution he’s stuck to under some amazing circumstances (yielding some really interesting results).

Jeff Harris: 4,748 Self-Portraits and Counting from We Know Music on Vimeo.

I have a couple resolutions this year. One I’ve already made good of (hello sneakers, meet pavement once again) the other is creative in nature and maybe this is just the thing to get me going. Updates to follow…
