We all know that 2 Chainz is hip hop’s most wanted right now. The rap-star, who’s been dominating the music scene in 2012, has brought a fresh sound and style to the game. I recently found out that he’s also coming with an interesting new perspective on everything from education to fashion to technology. I had a chance to sit down with the artist formerly known as Tity Boi, on his tour bus in Orlando, to see exactly what makes him tick and why he more than deserves to be named one of Global Grind’s “Leaders of the New Cool”.

Who Rocked The Best Look At The Met Gala – Bey or RiRi?

Bey and RiRi were unquestionably the best dressed at the Met Gala in my opinion. Beyonce’s post-baby body looked incredible from every angle in this sheer and very revealing Givenchy gown. I’m loving the pop of color at the tail of her dress. All I can say is “wow”…picture perfect.

Rihanna looked graceful, sleek and edgy all at once in her skin-tight, snakeskin Tom Ford gown. The open back and split reveal just the right amount of skin to balance the look. I would sooo rock this style myself!

So who do you think deserves the title of “best dressed”? Beyonce or Rihanna?

The Met Gala is often referred to as the “Oscars of the East Coast”…glamorous and grand with a VIP guestlist of celebrities, designers and models. The major difference between this red carpet and the Academy Awards…waaay more daring and adventurous outfits! With Vogue Editor-In-Chief, Anna Wintour, playing host it’s no wonder attendees did their utmost tonight to wow the country’s top fashionista. Stars stepped out in some bold brights – yellow, purple/hot pink and gold were all trending and I absolutely love Lala’s stunning blue gown. Here are some of those eye-popping looks:

Russell Brand Rips Into “Katy Perry” Heckler!

It’s never a great idea to heckle a comedian 1) because they’re funnier than you and 2) they’re always armed with a microphone. One loud-mouth at Russell Brand’s Atlantic City show over the weekend found out the hard way. The screamer interrupted Brand several times while he was on-stage, yelling out “Katy Perry”, the name of his ex-wife (which more than likely hit a nerve) then shouting “God Save the Queen!”. At that point the British comic lost his cool; he climbed down from the stage, turned up the lights and began to verbally destroy the culprit much to the enjoyment of his audience:

I was so caught up with last night’s Mayweather / Cotto fight festivities, that I totally forgot about Rihanna’s “Saturday Night Live” appearance. If you’re a RiRi fan like me, I know you’re curious to see what went down so here are the clips of her 2 performances – “Birthday Cake” / “Talk That Talk” and “Where Have You Been”. Although her dancing and singing got mixed reviews the Bajan star looked stunning as always. Check her out:

Rajon Rondo the R&B Heartthrob? Celtics’ PG Gives Me The Scoop on Music CD

Just in case you missed it, here’s the scoop. During my exclusive interview with Celtics’ PG Rajon Rondo for GlobalGrind, the 3-time All-Star spoke on plans to take his talents from the b-ball court to the recording studio!! Rajon, a big fan of Usher, Drake and Jagged Edge, has aspirations to follow in their footsteps with his own R&B songs.

Early on in the interview I questioned Rajon about players who dream of becoming music stars, asking him whether he’s ever had any similar goals. He laughed it off stating only that he likes to sing in the privacy of his own home. But later, the NBA player had a change of heart and admitted for the first time ever that he does in fact have plans for a possible career in R&B. He’s already on one track with an unknown female singer (who he compares to Drake) and will be hitting the studio this summer. I asked him to give us a taste of his talents on-camera but he declined. Here’s what he had to say:

“Rajon” could actually be the perfect name for an R&B heartthrob. Can’t wait to hear how he sounds!

It’s finally here…Justin Bieber’s much anticipated music video for “Boyfriend”, featuring the teen heartthrob all grown up (kind of). Biebs certainly sounds happy with the finished product. ”I think it’s super cool,” says the star, “I wanted to do something a bit more mature.”

Very cute…in a grown up kind of way, of course. What do you think?

Obama Gives Hilarious Speech And Shout Out To Young Jeezy!

At tonight’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, President Obama put on a hilarious performance that even trumped host Jimmy Kimmel’s. One of my favorite moments was when he gave Jeezy, of all people, a shout out, proving once again that we have one pretty cool commander-in-chief.

Would love to see that! Which Jeezy song should Obama rhyme if he makes a second term? How about the track the rapper dedicated to him back in 2008 – “My President”?

One of my other favorite moments was this video, “Unnecessary Censorship”, that played before right before Kimmel hit the stage…soooo funny!!
