A Website showing a continuing investigation in Brighton’s Beach Huts. It is designed to be simple, informative, quick loading and amusing. The home page invites the user to click the hut doors, when hovered over the picture becomes part of a tacky postcard. Each postcard contains a question that I asked the public about the beach huts. When the beach hut door is clicked you are then taken to a video of highlights from a series of interviews I conducted outside the beach huts. Importantly, the website also provides useful information should you wish to find out more about the beach huts.

This is the final design for my University of Brighton Open Day poster based on Edward De Bono’s lateral thinking diagrams. It is designed to be visually striking and attractive.
The text is not as integrated as it potentially could be, but function (clear communication) was more important in this instance. I enjoyed working with Illustrator Amelia Hart in producing this piece of work.

This was our initial poster, but whilst having high visual impact, it lacked a fun element ?? something the University of Brighton is proud to stand for.

Here is the chalk board we used for the final poster. We decided on chalk because it kept the strong shapes but also made it more informal i.e. more fun.
