Vendor Love : USB Memory Direct

I'm always on the lookout for products that help me surprise and delight my clients. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when USB Memory Direct reached out to me to review their USB drives. I was delighted to try something new and give them a go. I received them SUPER fast, which is something that is a must for my business. I pride myself on my turnaround times and rely on vendors that share that same value.

The drives I picked are a beautiful mahogany colored wood and embossed with my logo.

I couldn't wait to try them out. Efficiency is king in my small business, so I wanted to make sure these drives were more than a pretty face. And they delivered! Not only did they send me the 8 GB size, which is perfect for my weddings, these puppies are FAST. I can load files onto them super quick. I was very impressed by this, as most vendors for custom USBs have very slooow drives.

I can't wait to start handing these out to my clients.

The best part? The lid is magnetic, so it won't slip off during shipping or product delivery!

Ryan & Becca : Beaverton Michigan Wedding

This was my third Bennett wedding and I loved every minute. I love doing siblings' weddings. It's fun to come back each time and see familiar faces. Ryan and Becca were married on their property near Beaverton, Michigan. It was a beautiful backyard country wedding filled with personal touches. I absolutely love photographing weddings that are so personal!

I loved their pink and orange colors.

They custom-branded a their "guest book" log bench.

Eddie + Nephti : Veranda at the Whitcomb Wedding

Eddie and Nephti are dear friends of mine. I was absolutely thrilled when they chose me to be their wedding photographer. Nephti is from Mexico and moved to Saint Joseph to work for Whirlpool. Emerging Author Headshots for Victoria Johnson

Last month I had the privilege of meeting a new author, Victoria Johnson. She wanted a few head shots for her new book, Skin of a Goddess. Her book came out this week and I cannot wait to read it!

Victoria is a full time working mom and still manages to surrender her mind to the creative writing process. As a fellow redheaded goddess, she has inspired me to photograph more redheads in the future!

Sebastian and Emily had a beautiful bicultural wedding at the Morris Estate and Blue Heron at Blackthorn. Sebastian had many friends and family that flew in from Germany for the event. Michael & Melissa : Blumen Gardens Illinois Wedding

This past weekend we traveled to Sycamore, Illinois to celebrate Michael and Melissa's wedding. It was a gorgeous day for an outdoor wedding at Blumen Gardens. The gardens were gorgeous and offered a fun and unique space to have a wedding.

Vaughn & Michele : Shadowland Ballroom Wedding

Vaughn and Michele are from different states, but fell in love in Michigan, where they met in Saint Joseph. We met them last November for some fun engagement photos around town, and one year later, we celebrated their wedding at Saint Joseph Catholic Church and the Shadowland Ballroom. Todd and Miriam had a beautiful fall ceremony at Bendix Woods County Park in New Carlisle, Indiana this past weekend. The sky was blue, the sun was shining, and it was a gorgeous day to tie the knot surrounded by close family and friends.

Michael and Jessica : Jean Klock Park and Heritage Center Wedding

Jessica's family has a rich history in Saint Joseph, Michigan where they had their wedding last weekend. Her grandfather was an integral part of local history, and his service uniform was on display at their reception at the Heritage Center. Even though the day was chilly, the guests brought warmth with them to see the couple wed at Jean Klock Park on Lake Michigan.

Johnny and Jessie had a small intimate wedding on the shores of Lake Michigan at Jean Klock Park this last weekend. After a perfect ceremony on the beach, everyone headed over to Harbor Shores Golf Club to dine and celebrate! We had such a good time and met a lot of really nice people.

What a great group!

The guests threw sprinkles as they walked back down the aisle. A few stuck!

Mardy & Kamila : Veranda at the Whitcomb, Saint Joseph Wedding

I first met Kamila and Mardy last summer while they were visiting Saint Joseph, Michigan on a mini-vacation. They confided in me that they actually booked the Veranda at the Whitcomb before they were engaged because when they inquired there were only a few dates left! Not long after that, Mardy proposed on the pier overlooking Lake Michigan. Kamila did an amazing job with her DIY decorations. Everything was executed flawlessly with the help from 1928 Planning Co. Check out the gorgeous details below!

Amazing escort cards featured decorative keys with matching door knob table numbers.

Mint, burlap, and lace adorned the tables.

Kamila's gown was a stunning Pronovias with white sequin accents.

Mardy is actively into cross-fit. Check out their custom wedding topper.

Delicious cake and cupcakes by the Painted Horse Bakery!

They tied the knot in the courtyard with a lake view!

One of my favorite things about photographing at the Veranda at the Whitcomb is the rooftop view! They are always nice and let us take a few photos up there. Best views in the city!

On the way back down from the rooftop, we stopped in some of the original hotel rooms.
Rumor has it Al Capone used to stay in these rooms when he would come by.

We even got a few photos by the fountain in downtown Saint Joe,
at Czar's 505 Club, and a great sparkler exit!

Spencer and Ali started their slow dance like any other couple,

Dale & Tammy : Grass Lake Wedding Photography

Dale is my best friend's dad. When he and his fiancee asked if I would also capture their wedding, I was delighted. Not only did I get to spend the day with great friends, but it was also in Grass Lake! Kris Hitchcock and Small Town Son performed too! It was a fantastic day!

I loved how Tammy's ring was a puzzle piece to her engagement ring.

They cuddled the whole ceremony.

Chris & Ali : Weko Beach Wedding Photography

Ali and Chris tied the knot this past weekend in a small beach ceremony at Weko Beach House in Bridgman, Michigan. Last summer at the Lakeshore Wedding Walk, Ali bid on a wedding collection I had entered in a charity auction and won! All proceeds from the auction went to benefit Wish Upon a Wedding. This last weekend, we got to finally celebrate! Despite the cold lake breeze, these two had a marvelous time surrounded by the warmth of their friends and family. Chris is an avid fisherman, and they incorporated that into their theme. Check out a few of the details of their day below:

I loved the table decor of fish nets, fish, and bright accents.

Party favors for their guests included super cute mason jar glasses.

Her lace dress fit her like a glove.

Chris's boutonniere included a custom fish lure from his lovely wife.

Ali was a vision on the beach.

Stunning!

The cool wind didn't stop these two from having a blast at their ceremony.

They said their vows on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan.

A family friend officiated the ceremony.

Chris literally "hooked" his new wife during the kiss.
The fish hook on his boutonierre stuck to Ali's dress.
That moment their son Nash also decided he had had enough!

The number 16 is very significant to Ali and Chris. It was even the exit for their wedding!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Todd and Miriam at the Potawatomi Conservatory in South Bend, Indiana. It was a beautiful place for an engagement session. Unsure of the Michigan April weather, we enjoyed the warm tropical air and plants inside the conservatory. It was a nice place to have a relaxing and fun time!
