There are alot of SEO (search engine optimization) strategies out there and some are more effective than others.  Some take more time than others and I always try to look for more ways to build quality, high PR (page rank) backlinks in the search engine.  Here is a brief explanation of how link wheels work and how they can benefit you in your quest for FREE TRAFFIC….Take a look!

As we all know search engines like Google are HUGE fans of blogs, articles, and anything content based.  Why?  Because they rely on bloggers, articles sites and content in order to thrive.  Think about it, when you go to a search engine and type in a keyword the results that come up are usually a variation of blogs, wikis, articles sites and whatever else the bots can find in order to give you the information that you need.  This is why SEO (search engine optimization) is important.  SEO is the science of getting your website, article, blog, or whatever on the first page of Google (based on relevance of course) so that traffic can be driven to it.  But these day Google is looking at other ways of recognizing what content is recognizably relevant.  The search engine bots don’t only rely on SEO but they also rely on LSI (latent semantic indexing) in order to determine whether the content is worthy of high rankings.

What Is LSI? And Why Do I Need It?

What is LSI exactly? Well I am glad that you asked.  LSI is a new way that Google looks at an article to determine whether the article targets the keywords that Google feels is relevant in a piece of content.  For example, let’s say that you have done some keyword research and you found that you would like to write an article about “relationship marketing”.  Relationship marketing would be the keyword that you would be targeting and so you would write your article based on the SEO rules that are out there.  You know but the keyword in there once every 100 words (or however you were taught to do it) and then tag it.  You would still keep doing that but you would add the LSI technique as well.  This strategy does not replace SEO it only adds to it!

The Wonder Wheel!

Have you ever seen the Google’s Wonder Wheel?  If you haven’t, you and it should think about getting acquainted.  It can really help to boost your rankings in the search engines.  How?  Well let’s take a look.  Previously I mentioned “relationship marketing” as a keyword so for continuity purposes we will keep it the same.  Look at the example below.

As you can see I have outlined the keyword as well as the show options tab.  I bet you didn’t notice that it was there! Most people don’t but it is there for a reason.  When you expand it there are many options to choose from and the wonder wheel is shown. Have a look below.

As you can see the “Show Options” is now “Hide Options” and the “Options” are exposed  therefore showing the “wonder wheel”.  Now what you find in the “wonder wheel” will mesmerize you, it will send you into a frenzy and will have you telling all of your friends about the “magic” that you have discovered and before you can say presto chango you will be ranked and indexed in the search engines (not really but it will help!).

The Wonder Wheel and How To Use It!

As you can see the original keyword (relationship marketing) is in the middle of the wheel and there are spokes around it with words attached to them.  The words/spokes represent what keywords the “Google bots” look for when reading an  article and it helps to determine exactly how relevant the content is.  So when it is time to get the article indexed and ranked since “relationship marketing” is the key keyword then Google looks for the following: network marketing, transaction marketing, integrated marketing, journal of relationship marketing, relationship marketing article, relationship marketing definition, and direct marketing.  If Google finds these words within the content, think about how much faster it will get you ranked and indexed along with using the SEO techniques that you have learned in the past.  You will be way ahead of the curve (not many people know about this…if they did someone would have told you about it).  So now that you know how to incorporate this strategy, do you think that it is worth using and sharing?  Let me know, give me your thoughts and comment below!

Recently I had a Facebook “friend” (you know the people who request you so that they can pitch you a business) contact me because she wanted to buy a product from me (or so she said) but she ended up prospecting me.  I had no problems with being prospected at the time because I was actually looking for another business opportunity so I wanted to hear what she had to say.  I was very interested…but she couldn’t close me!  Could you imagine that…having a prospect that wants to sign up but you can’t close them?  Take a look at the conversation….

As you can see it started off pretty general, friendly, and my interest was peaked!

Part Deux (Excuse My French..he he)!

In the next series of events you will see where it all went WRONG… and I do mean wrong.  It was as if she just wasn’t listening she didn’t ask me for my phone number so that she could call me and discuss the opportunity.  I think this is why people choose to “contact” not “connect” on Facebook (there is a big difference between connecting and contacting I found that out during my brief interaction with this lady.

So I actually listened to the webinar that she scheduled for me and after hearing and listening and watching the opportunity I decided that I wanted a certain software that they were offering.  And the saga continues…

You know how people are…I had to ask LOL!

During the very lengthy webinar they mentioned that I could get this fabulous Facebook friend adder software for “FREE” imagine my surprise when I found out that I actually had to sign up for the company in order to receive it!

In this economy people are looking for a means to an end… a solution to a problem…MORE MONEY! And you will see she had NO SOLUTIONS.  She wasn’t even listening (or reading in  this case).

*Side note:* If people find value in You and what You are doing they will find the money for WHATEVER you are offering.

Yes, yes, yes, yes ….All the way across the board!  I was staying optimistic and positive about the situation because I really wanted the software.

In prospecting it is definitely imperative to make the person that you   are connecting with feel at ease about talking to you.  You want to connect, point out their strengths and build on it, don’t talk negatively about them or their financial status (I am sure that wasn’t her intention but words have power!).  On with the show!

In network marketing or even sales, when you are presenting an opportunity how much another person makes really has no bearing on how much YOU can make.  How much YOU make is solely dependent on YOU and what YOU do, how YOU connect.  With that said why am I hearing about James?  Not only that but in a previous message that she sent she says that she has more money than she can count.  So why is she giving James so much credibility and POWER?   It just shows me that she does not see herself as the Leader that she truly IS!  Which is important  oftentimes we find ourselves answering questions that weren’t even asked.  Think about that.  Why add stress and anxiety to a situation by answering questions that concern how much YOU make or have made in this opportunity and it wasn’t even up for discussion?

Things that make you say hmmm….

She also states that she doesn’t want any money from me! If I didn’t need any money then what is the real problem? Oh, I know!  The problem was that I did need money.

This is the last of the conversation …I promise ( )!

So as you can see she received all YESSSSSSSS’s!  But she could not close me.  I gave her a problem and she didn’t even try to see how we could work something out.  We must remember to LISTEN!  Because 90% of closings happen really within the first 30 seconds and by listening to what the problem is and providing a solution we can CLOSE!  I hope that everyone enjoys this post and understands my  hears my heart.  I wasn’t trying to be difficult I actually wanted something that she was providing but for some reason even with a yes  she still didn’t get the sale.  Now I am not saying that we need to be Miracle Workers we just need to listen with our hearts.  PROSPECT FROM YOUR HEART!

*Side bar*: During the webinar they stated that all I would have to do is copy and paste a “script” into Facebook!  Do you think that the script worked?  Don’t get me wrong I do believe in the scripts that leaders give you in order to help you when you’re connecting.  But I think that scripts are more effective over the telephone!  What do you think?

As we all know Donald Trump is one of the most respected names in the world of Business and Finance.   Within this brand is a little show that we all know that goes by the name of “The Apprentice” and at the end of the show there is a scene that takes place in the boardroom.  In the boardroom a variety of things goes on the results from the challenges are revealed, the strengths and weaknesses of the teams are discussed, and of course the real reason that we all watch…Donald Trump chooses the weakest link where he gets to say his his famous phrase “You’re Fired!”  Within each show there are a business lessons that can be taken and applied.  Here are the lessons that I was able to learn and I hope that you can take something from it as well.

1.  People want to feel like they are a part of something big!!!

The challenge last night involved the two celebrity teams selling hamburgers in a restaurant to raise money for their favorite charity.  The women’s team decided to set their prices @$25 for their hamburgers with their specialty for $100, where the men’s celebrity team started their prices @ $100 for their hamburgers with a specialty burger for $1500.  Of course both celebrity teams called all of their friends to come and eat so that they would spend their money and so that they maybe they would contribute a significant amount.  The team with the most money at the end of the challenge wins of course.  The celebrity teams had plenty of people come out to eat which proves one thing in this recession people just want to feel like they are a part of a HUGE events.  The lines outside of these restaurants wrapped around corners all because of the “FUSS” behind helping out charities (the ability to meet celebrities didn’t hurt either).

2.  How much your business opportunity costs doesn’t matter!

Outlined in the paragraph before one team had burgers for $25 and the other had burgers that started off at $100. Now I know what you’re probably thinking…$100 is alot of money for a hamburger but when you think about it not really. You see one thing that I realized is that people equate money with value the more that it costs the better it will be. Think about it you have heard the old saying “You get what you pay for!”  This is the way that we are all programmed to think.  In this recession $100 is a little far fetched to charge people for a sandwich but let me tell you a secret …the team that charged $100 won.  You will attract the people (targeted leads) that will find more value and quality in something that costs more.  Just because a business opportunity only costs $25, it doesn’t mean that you will attract high quality people and it doesn’t mean that you will attract more people because it’s affordable.  In my opinion the less it costs, the less likely you will be able to build a strong team (I didn’t make the rule).

3.  Don’t be afraid to make a decision

When Donald Trump brought the teams into the boardroom the women were asked to stay because they lost and of course they had to make the tough decision of which teammate to let go.  One thing that I realized when Donald Trump asked who they thought should go home no one wanted to “throw the other under the bus”.  Everyone kept avoiding the question by saying “we all did a good job”, “we all worked hard”.  In business you need to be a good decision maker it could be the life and death of your organization.  I don’t know about anyone else but just because a person wants to work with me it doesn’t mean that I want to work with them.  I go through an interview/selection process and if the person passes we work if not we don’t.  I know our uplines tell us to talk to everyone but I don’t it’s just one of those hard decisions that I have to make in the world of entrepreneurism.

These are just a few of the things that I learned from the television show and I know that by applying the concepts and the rules/laws of business my organization will grow and I am sure that yours will too.

Ehow has become one of the most highly sought after websites that provide articles that are based on the “How To” subject.  You can actually dominate a niche using Ehow!  How? Well I am glad that you asked.  Ehow is a PR8 site.  What does that mean to you and your business?  Well…it means ALOT! PR8 means that the site holds alot of authority when it comes to the internet.  Websites generally rank anywhere form PR1-PR10, PR1 meaning that it has low authority…PR10 meaning the highest authority.  Here are a few examples….

This means that a backlink to your website from sites that hold this kind of authority on the world wide web could definitely give you first page Google rankings for keywords that you’re targeting.  Which could potentially mean more visits to your site, which could turn into leads AND CONVERSIONS.  I know, I know, I know…I have heard the same think that you have which is that the more backlinks the better.  To be perfectly honest with you that is true when you are posting to PR3/Pr4/Pr5 sites.  You will need more backlinks from those sites in order to equate to the backlink power of a PR8/PR9/PR10 site.  The higher the authority site the less amount of backlinks you need in order to dominate your niche and that means less work for you.  So here is a step by step guide on how to submit an article to Ehow (PR8) site.

1.  Register a Free account with Ehow – It’s very simple to do just go to www. Ehow.com and signup for a free account.  Fill out the profile and any snazzy little details about yourself.  They have widgets and all kinds of fun stuff that you can use for your personal website and/or blog.

2.  Your “How To” should be a long-tail keyword! – For example, if the subject of your article is cleaning your face maybe the title should be “How to clean your face with all natural products from your kitchen”.  The long tail keyword is clean your face with all natural products from your kitchen. This is what will rank in the search engines on the first page of google.

3.  Give a brief introduction – When starting the article you should give a brief introduction about what the article is going to be about.  This will give the reader a summary of what they are about to read and will let them know if it is relevant to what they are looking for.

4.  Things you’ll need/Difficulty – there is a section in Ehow when submitting that will call for the things that the reader will need in order to accomplish the tasks that you are describing in your article.  Make sure that it is precise, straight and to the point and leave nothing out so that the reader will be able to achieve the results that are outlined in your post.  The difficulty will need to be rated by you so that people know what the learning curve will be.

5.  Instructions – This is where you write your “How To” into steps.  The steps start at 1. of course and can go as long as needed in order to get the point across in your article.  Remember that you are an instructor, an Ehow instructor and that the steps should be very detailed so that everyone can follow along and can do what it is that you are outlining in the post.

6. References – In the reference box you should put the url of the site that you are promoting, whether it’s your personal blog or the url of another blog post that you have written on another site. Voila!  This will provide a backlink to your site.

Keep in mind that depending on your keyword research and what your article is about you may receive different results when it comes to Google page rankings.

This morning I got on a treadmill and said to myself “Self… I wonder how many network marketers are running P.H.A.T. businesses?”  Businesses where their Production is at a Halt All of the Time!  They are not enjoying all of the things that the industry promises to offer.  You know what I’m talking about the financial freedom and stability, the benefits of being able to leverage your time so that you can spend it doing all of the things that you love to do.

I am going to identify the “problem areas” and then show you how you can immediately get the metabolism of your business revved up and your heart rate going so that you can drop the “weight” and the burden of it.  So here we go.

1. Lack of Leads=P.H.A.T.  This goes without saying.  If you don’t have 10-15 leads being consistently pumped into your business a day you don’t have one! So what should you do?  Now I know that your addicted to Facebook and Youtube you may not want to admit it but you are! So leverage it! Social networks are free so take advantage but I want to do something differently…TALK TO OTHER NETWORK MARKETERS.  Don’t bombard them with your business build a relationship first.  Do not waste any more time, money, and energy on people who don’t understand the importance of having a residual income.
2. I mentioned money or the lack thereof.  This is what I like to call the metabolism of your business.  You are spending too much of it and not getting half as much back.  You are paying for the “Pep Rally” meetings and hosting parties that aren’t putting any money into your pockets.  How do I know?  Because I’ve been there, and done that and I am happy to say that I don’t anymore.  And I have good news for you, you don’t either.
3. Aggressive Pushy Marketing! Marketing is what I like to call the wheat bread and unsalted butter of your business.  It adds the bulk.  You know, the leads and the MULAH.  When I say marketing I don’t mean cold calling, going to the malls to hand out business cards or telling people, “Get 5, who get 5, who get 5.”  Sound familiar?  These marketing techniques are “played out”.  Your bread is stale and your butter is salty.  It doesn’t taste good to others and you know it doesn’t taste good to you.  So start providing information to others that will help them.  Add value.
4. If you are not burning more than you are consuming your business will start to get thick and heavy again. Start Giving! Give people the solutions that they are looking for so you can position yourself as a “trainer,” a “Personal Trainer”.  People pay big bucks for those and in turn they’ll pay big bucks to work with you too.  Do you feel where I’m coming from yet?
5. Chill out! Rest! Relax! This is what all trainer/coaches will tell you that you need.  If you do all of the things that I mentioned your business will gain so much momentum that people will be chasing you.  So enjoy it allow your muscles to build and repair themselves.  You deserve it!
