When making a decision to join an opportunity, are you concerned with either the price or the cost? Although these two words have been used interchangeably, they are totally different. Value is the key when joining a network marketing opportunity as well as any others. Lets go into more detail…

Do you believe you missed out on a lot of great opportunities because of the price of joining them?

As many of you know there are so many great network marketing opportunities out there that has proven to help many people reach success and there are more to come. These opportunities is one of the routes that you can take in order to achieve certain goals you made.

In this industry, once you get involved, for most it’ll take some time to grow their home business while other’s it won’t take anytime at all. But once you find something that you’re passionate about then nothing can stop you.

You’re going to be an advocate for the life of the company no matter what others may say against it. This is something that is a part of you and you’re going to make sure that you will become successful.

This is the mentality of a successful person and according to the Law of Attraction, this success will have to be attracted to you no matter what.

But here’s the problem when finding something that you really believe is a good idea and can find a passion for: Most Will Judge By The Price Of Joining An Opportunity Versus The Value It Gives.

Why Is It Not A Good Idea To Only Judge By The Price?

There are a lot of free opportunities out there that can definitely help you reach success. You’re saving money of course by either not paying an initiation fee or a monthly fee and you can definitely develop a passion with them.

They can definitely be a great benefit for all those who do not have the money to join a network marketing company or any other opportunities that require a couple of hundred dollars or more to start.

There are also others that you can start for as low as $25 or less to join and also you can develop a passion for them and become successful.

But the problem is that many people only join them because they are cheap or free to join. It’s pretty hard to develop a valuable passion for an opportunity coming from a cheap mindset.

The sad thing is as a result of having a cheap mindset, you will more likely drop out of the opportunity, especially when you run into obstacles. This is just as bad as someone paying for an opportunity only to make more money without any real strong reason why they want to make more money.

What do you think is the difference between someone who will pay $500 with their last check for an opportunity they strongly believe in, the product or services makes sense and finding a true passion for versus someone who pays $49 to join an opportunity because its a lot cheaper and they just wanted to test it out to see if it really works?

Who’s going to stay to become successful and why?

Who’s going to overcome the obstacles and turn them into stepping stones to succeed?

Who’s going to keep jumping to every “Next Great Thing” opportunity costing them more and more money each time?

Which opportunity would be better to find success in no matter what the price is?

If you’re going to get involved in an opportunity as network marketing it’s very important to your success to pick a company that you feel will benefit you in the long run, but much more important, that really makes sense and can develop a passion for. Not only will you stay focus, but with the passion you will be able to easily transfer that feeling to others. This will open the gates to sponsor more people under you and grow your business.

Have you ever heard of a company where the products actually can go up in value? Well this is the one reasons why I got involved with Numis Network. Lets get into more detail about this great company and how you can benefit from it.

The product speaks for itself. I have nothing against different companies that market products and services such as health and wellness, insurance, utilities, and so forth. As a matter of fact I actually use a couple of these services from other MLM companies and they have been fantastic.

I just want to point out that this company is another option for you to look into, especially if you’ve been wanting to start collecting assets such as gold and silver.

Do you run into a lot of negative comments from your peers about your home business? If you’re in network marketing than 9 times out of 10 you’ve gotten many negative comments from people that you know and trust. So what can you do about it?

There are many reasons why many of us want to be our own boss. We want the authority to make our own decisions from taking vacation when we want to or spending time with our families.

In order to do that, a lot of us decide to take the route to starting a home business. The idea of having a business can really make us feel important and that we can achieve whatever we want.

A lot of us get so excited that we go tell some of our closest friends and family about our new venture. Some of us get the support from them, as well as them joining us which enables us to work side by side with them.

It’s a great feeling to work with the people who we have been close to and it makes the work not work, but more interesting and a lot of fun to do.

But on the other hand, some of the people we respect can be the “naysayers” in our lives. The fact that they don’t understand what you’re doing and only go by “hearsay” can be really challenging.

I say challenging because instead of being an obstacle, it is a test of faith and durability when it comes to your dreams. Your belief and the spirit behind what many of us are doing can stand the test of time when you meet up with these stepping stones.

This is just a mere challenge of your faith and as Napolean Hill said “What the mind can conceive it can achieve”, you can achieve whatever you conjure up in your mind.

So why do many of us hold our peers negative comments about what we do over our dreams and goals?

Well one reason is that we don’t want to be looked down upon by our peers. Another thing is that we don’t want to lose the relationships that we have grown so close to.

But if they really take your relationship seriously then they should respect what you do even if they don’t agree with it, right? If not, who cares, staying connected with people who you vibe with and love to be around with as well as vice versa is more important. You are the one responsible for your happiness.

So whenever you get negative comments, you may want to ask yourself is putting their negative comments on a pedestal more important than the route you take to achieve your dreams?

This will definitely determine how much you value your dreams and goals. If you don’t think highly of them, then they will definitely throw you off course.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO OVERCOME THIS RESISTANCE? 

One thing you want to keep in mind is that usually those that have a lot of negative comments to say either was approached by someone in the industry that was untrained and obnoxious, or they go by hearsay and are not educated on the business model.

So if they’re not willing to be open-minded and get educated about what you do, then why waste your time? You would have a better chance of training the king of the jungle to be a vegan.

It’s one thing if your peers may not want to do what you do in order to get ahead as oppose to those that just want to be ignorant about the industry as a whole.

If you don’t have any supportive friends or family, then the best thing you can do is be around people who are in the industry, or even better, make more time to be around the people that are in the same business.

One thing is for sure is that you will find that your network marketing peers are going through the same thing that you’re going through. You can build synergy and feed off of each other and give much support in order to maintain.

There is an abundance of money out there as well as a plethora of different ways to obtain the wealth in the world despite what the “News” may tell you. So focus on enjoying this journey and you will definitely obtain your fortune.

Who do you respond more positively too? People who are genuinely interested in you or someone you feel are trying to make a quick buck off of you.

Obviously you’re going to engage in a conversation with someone who finds you interesting.

It’s human nature.

It feels good when someone admires you and takes an interest in your life. Especially when you’ve been looking for a solution to your problems.

When someone can present you to a solution to your problems you look at them in a different light. It builds interest in the other person and trust is built.

Once the problem is resolved you develop a deep respect for that person who went out of their way to point you in the right direction, right?

The thing about it is that they used the right words and ask you the right questions in order to present you with an opportunity that can benefit you in the long run so that you know the solution to your problems in order for you to take action to resolve them.

WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO?

In sales there’s a certain way to attract people and there’s a certain way to repel them. I have been guilty of repelling a lot of people and some of you have done the same.

What do we do to repel so many people?

We don’t build any type of Rapport!

Instead of building rapport we are so quick to present other people with our opportunity. Why? well we are so focus on the results and so anxious to make money that we don’t consider if the other person really need or even be interested in our offer.

Yes I know, everyone needs your products and services. We also need to eat healthy, stay fit by going to the gym 3 days a week, and go to church every Sunday too, but do most of us do this?

This is why building rapport and getting to the point in knowing their “why” is so important.

In order to build rapport you want to be genuinely interested in what they do, ask the questions regarding to what they want, and let them do most of the talking. They will look at you as being the best conversationalist they ever met.

WHAT IS THEIR “WHY?”

Once you build rapport by those empowering questions, this will be the point to ask if they will be interested in creating another source of income.

When they say yes, your main goal is to ask them “Why”? This is important because you will match their “Why” with your offer.

Being able to dig deeper beyond the common answer of “I just want to make more money” will conjure an interest within them to want to know if you may have something that will help them reach their goal(s).

It’s not about making extra money, but what you can do with the extra money and the options it can create in order for them to live a more fulfilling and satisfying life is the key.

We all have some desires and goals that we want to accomplish and a lot of us do not know of any way to get to them. When you have an opportunity to create that bridge to achieve those desires and goals, that gives us hope and belief that its definitely possible to reach them.

Many of us in network marketing treat our business like a dead-end job more so than a business. So are you in business for the right reasons or for the wrong reasons? Lets dig further.

Many of us started a business to achieve the fruits of financial freedom so that we can create more options to do the things that we’ve been limited to do.

The thought of what we call “going on vacation” or living in the neighborhood that we dream of really keeps our motors running when it comes to our businesses.

The fact that there are so many opportunities out there leaves a sweet spot in our minds knowing that we can actually better ourselves and come out on top gives us endless possibilities in our imagination.

Have you ever went for a walk or a drive and your imagination just kicks in? You probably think of all the things that you will be able to do once you reach the top. How happy you will be when all your debt is paid, not worrying about bills, helping close family and friends out, etc…

If this is something you’re always thinking about, then there is no doubt that law of attraction will be in the workings for you.

This is the mentality of the true soon to be unemployable entrepreneur and life will just get better each day that pass no matter if it’s a good day or not so good day.

Now let me ask, on those not so good days where obstacles get in your way, does you mentality stay the same or does it turn focus on those obstacles?

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU START FOCUSING ON THE OBSTACLES?

Even though I am an employee myself, sometimes I can start acting like an employee in my business when I start focusing on those obstacles.

When you start focusing on the obstacles you start to question and point fingers. You start to focus on why life isn’t fair, why you’re upline isn’t doing a better job, why you’re not making the money in the time fashion you want, and if what you’re doing is legit.

No disrespect, but if network marketing companies had a Union, I believe the majority of them, if not all will be in trouble all the time.

When you start to put more focus on these negative thoughts, you are preparing yourself to become a failure. With this focus, you have to ask yourself why are you doing this?

If you’re reason isn’t big enough for you to keep going, then quitting could be your answer.

Why?

Because you’re in it for the wrong reasons. Usually when it comes to this people, it’s usually just for a quick fix. They’re number one reason is to just make more money without a strong why backing it up.

WHAT CAN YOU FOCUS ON WHEN THERE ARE OBSTACLES?

If you have a strong “why” that goes deeper than just making money, that’s a good start.

What’s a strong “why”? Here’s some examples:

Spending more time with your spouse and kids

Being able to travel across country to visit your aging grandparents or parents

Being able to pay off your debt to feel no stress

Being able to spend more time on a hobby you love to do.

Another thing you can focus on is to just become better each and everyday. You can treat the obstacles that you come across as ways to learn a lesson so you know what to do when they come around.

When it comes to obstacles, successful people automatically divert their attention to solutions that will enable them to overcome those obstacles. You start to become an unstoppable person as well as an entrepreneur.

So above all, stay focus on become better and your “why”. Let your imagination run around freely everyday and you will definitely reach your goals.

Do you look for what’s possible to come or the opposite? Law of Attraction says what ever you put out is reciprocated back to you. So if there’s a certain response you want, then you must put out something of equal value right? Lets see how you can do this.

If you want to get more of what you want then Positive Presupposition is the ultimate when it comes to NLP.

NLP (Neuro Lingusistic Programming) is a way for you to build better relationships with others especially in business. One of the ways you can used NLP is through the 4 communication styles mentioned in previous posts.

In a previous post I talked about Installing which is persuading someone without them being aware so that you can make an unconscious connection with them. This method is definitely a great way to indirectly suggest something that they may be interested in. Once you do that then you can make the assumption that they want more information about whatever you have to offer.

From this point, we can carry smoothly into Positive Presupposition. So what is it and does it work?

WHAT IS POSITIVE PRESUPPOSITION?

According to Michael Losier’s book “Law Of Connection” to have a positive presupposition about something is to assume that it is possible or that it will happen.

In order for you to more than likely get the response that you want you will use this method by putting in a form of a question or some other way of communication. By doing this you have a better chance of the other persons action to be reciprocated back to you the way you want.

For example:

Lets say you want your kids to take out the trash. If you were to just tell them “Take out the trash” they are less likely to do so, at least in a timely fashion.

So lets change it up a bit.

What if you tell your kids “Once you take out the trash, we will play the video game you got to see how we can get to the 3rd level”? Do you think they will be more than likely take out the trash in a timely manner?

This works in your Network Marketing Company. When you’re out prospecting and you hand out a DVD or even send the link to the presentation to your company, in a couple of days you ask the prospect what did they like about the information, right?

You’re doing two things here:

You’re showing that you have confidence in them that they watched the DVD.
You’re asking them what they like so they will focus on the value of your opportunity and how it can benefit them.

SOME EXAMPLES OF POSITIVE PRESUPPOSITION

Staying positive and showing confidence in others is a great way to build great connections. Here are some more examples of how you can take advantage of Positive Presupposition:

Learn how you can use your blog to build your business
Learn to make more money with what you’re already doing on facebook.
With your enthusiasm you are really going to grow this business
The fact that your quiet and ask intriguing questions shows how well you will do when you join the business
After you join I want to go over your goals so we can get you paid ASAP.

Positive Presupposition is the fourth method of communication in Michael Losier’s book “Law Of Connection” which will definitely help you sponsor more people into your business and/or products or services that you’re marketing. So make sure to stay positive so that you can attract the prospects you want and sponsor the people you want to work with.

You ever thought if it was possible to make an unconscious connection with someone? There’s actually of way of doing this by making indirect suggestions. This technique is called Installing. Lets learn more.

How many of you use a very direct approach when you prospect? How has this approach work for you so far?

For the majority of people, this approach doesn’t work well at all. As a matter of fact, most people would have their guard up when you approach them in this manner.

I know I know, you’re upline may have told you that it’s a numbers game and you have to go through a bunch of no’s before you get a yes. The more No’s you get, the closer you get to a yes.

This doesn’t seem too thrilling, doesn’t it?

The fact that you can get rejected isn’t something everyone want’s to look forward to, but what if you can get to the point to where you don’t get this feeling. What if you can have an open approach where it doesn’t matter whether they say YES or NO. With an indirect approach not only will you be more approachable yourself but you’ll gain more and better acquaintances.

Your goal in the network marketing industry is for people to trust and like you and one of the great techniques used to build relationships is NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) which is used a lot in Law Of Connection. In the last post I talk about FUTURE PACING where you paint a brighter future for people you’re in contact with, especially prospects.

From Future Pacing, INSTALLING is the next important method which is a more indirect approach that works quite well in this industry. This is something I use and very comfortable with doing, and my results have been great from this.

WHAT IS INSTALLING?

According to Michael Losier’s book “The Law Of Connection” it is making an intentional suggestion to persuade another person of something without his being aware that this is what you are doing.

How does it work?

The goal is to make a indirect approach by making suggestions that taps into the unconscious mind in order to make an unconscious connection with the other person.

Let’s just say that you’re at a networking event and you overhear a couple of people talking about how they’re having trouble getting leads. So this is your queue to join the conversation.
You introduce them and apologize for the interruptions, but you couldn’t help overhearing the conversation and you were going through the same dilemma a year prior.

You tell them that now you use 3 specific strategies and it’s been helping you and many others get leads everyday. You have people to talk to everyday and your business has been growing.

By using this indirect approach you pique the interest of those other network marketers to the point to where they want to learn more from you. They may be so serious about being successful that they make ask you to do a one on one with them. This could mean a couple of things to you. This could lead to more affiliate sales or this could be more people to join under you in your primary business.

SOME EXAMPLES OF INSTALLING

Using this indirect approach is a great way to open prospects and get them intrigued to what value you have that’s going to enhance them. Once this happens you can do a couple of things like invite them to a presentation, training, super saturday or whatever it may be. Here are some examples of installing:

Many people have matched their current income from their job by doing this.
This training shows you five strategies you can use to get leads online and offline.
There’s going to be 5 top producers in the industry doing a training on how to grow your business from home tonight.
The people that used his technique became successful and quit their jobs within 2 years.

Installing is the third method of communication in Michael Losier’s book “Law Of Connection” and can definitely improve your prospecting skills. Remember to meet the people you meet half way so that you both can be part of a win/win situation.

When you talk to prospects do you expect for them to say no? If so this could be a poor self image and could really put a big hinder on your business growth. Let’s see how you can improve your self image and how you can have your prospects see a brighter future for themselves.

Are you just testing the waters to see if your business grows? If so, what do you expect out of the people you sponsor into your business or the people you approach?

If you’re not setting up a brighter future for yourself then it will be a big challenge to help your team or prospects to see a brighter future for themselves.

In my previous post about Reframing, I mentioned setting up a positive point of view for the other person you’re talking to. In this sense it builds a positive self image and enables the other person to look at the glass as half way full instead of half way empty.

Reframing and Future Pacing goes hand in hand when it comes to build rapport with others, especially the face that you’re building the other person up. This is great characteristic of leadership and in this industry of network marketing the majority of those involved are looking for some great leaders to follow.

HOW DOES FUTURE PACING WORK?

When you are talking to your prospects or team the object is to “lead” them into the future with positive expectations. When you are communicating with them, you may want to focus on their good qualities by complimenting them and how it would really help them into becoming successful, especially when they are focusing on the negative aspects of themselves. Once their focus and turned to those positive aspects of them, their resistance to their success will start to diminish and your words and encouragement will be accepted.

If you can do this, just imagine how many people will be willing to work with you. The Law Of Attraction will definitely be working for you in this sense. This is a part of building the character that you want in yourself and also in the prospects you want to sponsor into your business.

This is part of the reason why finding out what they’re “why” is so important. By painting the positive people that they want to see and let their why be the main reason to keep going even when the going gets tough.

SOME EXAMPLES OF FUTURE PACING

When you ask many prospects their why, they usually will tell you that they want to make more money. You want to go deeper and ask them what will they do with that extra money that they’re not able to do now. Once you find that out you can use some of these examples for FUTURE PACING:

You will get trained by some of the top producers in the industry!
You will gain much knowledge on building your home business.
The training are simple and to the point!
The people you sponsor will be able to duplicate what you do.
You will get many perks because you have a home business.

Future Pacing is the second method of communication used in Michael Losier’s book “The Law Of Connection” and is a great method when painting the future not only for your prospects but also for yourself. So keep this method in mind when talking to your prospects!

Do you feel that success starts with the way you think?

If you believe this is true, do you feel that the vibe that you put out determines whether a person wants to be around you or not?

That vibe can come out in different ways like for instance how you look at someone or the words used to speak with someone. In any manner you’re either going to engage someone or you’re not.

Here’s an example:

Have you ever felt a positive vibe from someone that simply smiles at you? According to the law of reciprocation we usually smile back at them.

Although the engagement wasn’t that long but that moment that may have lasted a couple of seconds felt good, right?

As entrepreneurs in the network marketing industry, we are to consider ourselves as problem solvers.

Our goal is to point people in the right direction in order for them to solve their problems.

If a close friend has a problem, what do you do? You listen to them and suggest some solutions for them so they can solve their problems, right?

This is probably why they keep coming to you because you help them with solutions that they never thought of or just didn’t know what to do to solve their problems. You offer them of a more positive point of view so they won’t feel so limited. This is where REFRAMING comes in!

WHAT IS REFRAMING?

If you studied NLP (Neuro –Linguistic Programming) or Sales, reframing is a common technique used to help the other person look at a different point of view.

When your reframing your goal is to make the other person feel good about themselves and have more self confidence. When you’re able to do this, then people would like to be around you a lot more.

You can also use this for yourself when those negative thoughts start to creep in. By replacing negative statements to more positive statements, you take off the limits you put on yourself so that you can take notice of all the options you can take advantage of.

WHAT ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF REFRAMING?

In order for reframing to work for you and your prospects, you want to be able to change a negative statement to a positive statement. Once this is done, you’ll start to feel a shift in the vibe between you and the other person.

Negative Statements

There’s no one opting into my site.

There are too many details about online marketing

I don’t know what to say over the phone when talking to prospects.

Everyone I talk to says no to my opportunity.

Positive Statements

There are so many people on facebook I can talk to.

There are still a lot of easy offline strategies I can use.

Todd Falcone has a black book of scripts I can use to talk to prospects.

Defining the right people I want to work with will help me find the right prospects.

Reframing is one of the 4 methods of communication described in Michael Losier’s book “Law of Connection” and is a great way to start to attract more of the right prospects for you so that you can grow your business. You can actually start using this on yourself to reframe all the negative voices inside your head to positive ones. Once this is done, being able to use reframing when talking to prospects will become easier.

Many of you are looking for better ways to communicate with prospects. There are basic methods that people in sales and marketing actually use in order to have great rapport with them, hence their increase in sales production. Let’s find out what they use…

How many of you know people, if not yourself, are always trying to be “real”? Usually when people talk about being “real” or “living in reality” it’s a negative connotation to it.

Now why is that?

It could be your environment, peers, television, radio, etc.. that are the big influences of those negative thoughts, right?

Would those thoughts carry well in your business? Of course not!

If you were already mentally negative, then why would you think someone would want to join under you in your business? That’s wishful thinking.

Many of us network/internet marketers go out prospecting with negative thoughts already conjured up in our minds. Those voices creep up on us saying things like:

“Why would anyone want to join me?”

“Is this really a scam?”

“They’re going to think it’s a scam!”

“How can I convince them that this isn’t a scam just in case they say no?”

“Why am I even doing this?”

“I don’t believe you can get 10 leads a day?”

“My family and friends think I’m a loser for doing this”

“He or she won’t join me, they’re too good for this”

Does this sound familiar? I bet you can add a lot more to this list.

In this post I would like to discuss some things you can do to change this around for yourself and for your prospects. In previous posts I discuss the 4 communication styles you can use to start to build rapport with your prospects. They were

The purpose is for you to figure out which style to use in order to build and maintain rapport with your prospects.  When you try to figure out what words they are saying so you can match your prospects style it can be pretty challenging because you will need to pay very close attention to what they’re saying. But once you master it, then it becomes second nature to you.

There are other ways to make better connections with other people. There are 4 methods that I like to talk about which affect the way we view our past, present and future as well as persuading others to do the same. With these methods you can communicate more positively to others which as a result makes you a better connector and more attractive as a leader. These methods are:

Reframing

Future Pacing

Installing

Positive Presupposition

These 4 methods were also taken out of Michael Losier’s book “Law Of Connection” and are the top methods used by those who have a career in sales and marketing. With that said, these methods will definitely help you in your home business when talking to prospects. I will discuss these in later posts!
