Wrap woolens in newspaper with naphthalene balls while storing. the ink in the newsprint acts as an insect repellent
2. Kill weeds and unwanted grass on walks and driveways by spraying vinegar
3. To remove crayon stains from leather sofa, put baking soda on damp cloth and rub it lightly.
4.while filling pillows with cotton, add camphor to them. this will keep the pillows cool in summer and avoid breeding of insects inside during monsoon.
5.Sprinkle your lampshade with soda bi-carbonate and leave it on for five minutes.then use a clean paintbrush to brush off residue and vacuum-clean it to remove the soda from fabric. this helps to remove the smell of tobacco, smoke residue and odors.
6.After melting butter, add a teaspoon of methi seeds to enhance the flavor of ghee.
7. To prevent curd from becoming sour, add a piece of coconut to it.
8.Apply toothpaste to minor burns to get relief from the burning sensation and scars.
9.Add lots of sugar to leftover lemon pickle. leave the bottle in the sun to dry. within a month or two, the lemon will turn brown in color.cut them into small pieces and store them in an airtight container.
10. To avoid mushrooms from turning black, add two teaspoons of hot milk while cooking them.
11.If you burn a garment While ironing, rub the juice of freshly cut onion on the garment followed by a cold rinse. the mark will disappear.
12. To repair stains on wood-polished furniture, apply a similar shaded slightly darker shoe polish to the affected area and brush vigorously with a soft shoe brush.
13.To clean erasers, dab a little nail-polish remover on them and rub off the dirt
14.to clean tall and narrow vases, fill with them water and drop two tablets of pep fizz or dab fizz in them. the bubble will clean the dirt inside.
15.
