Twi’lek Jedi Consular, a la SWtOR. Fairly rough (and dark!) paint, but whatevs.

This is my first piece of Star Wars fanart. I think that makes me, like, officially the nerdiest person ever.

Wanted to paint something that wasn’t going to take a million hours a la the Neverending WiP, so I grabbed an existing sketch, set myself a time-limit (it ended up being about two hours) and told myself to just do as much as I could in the time.

SO APPARENTLY I CAN’T PAINT FACES QUICKLY. Or, in fact, anything. Who would’ve thought?

OH DEAR SWEET MAKER SO MANY ERRORS. Must. Resist. Urge to. Repaint lkhsldhalnlndlnad!!!!

A very rough series of the layers in Anders’ Rabbit Heart robe, as seen in the Eternal WiP.

Basically:

Linen breeches and boots (socks not pictured).
Woollen mandress.
~~Coat and belts and shit.~~ FACE-MELTING JUSTICE!

Main point is that the coat/bolero/pauldrons are all one contraption, which is basically long strips of leather nailed together (though only from about mid-thigh up) and ergo not particularly comfortable, hence the mandress underneath. The idea was roughly the (concept art version) Renegade’s Coat minus several years’ worth of wear and tear, though it has bits and pieces stolen from the game’s other Tevinter robe styles.

Also, watch me make pretence to both consistency and anatomy. Lulz.

Cropped a bit further out this time, showing some of the bits that just have underpaint (the arms, some of the belt, the bottom of the robes and the background/effects) as well as the bits that’re done.

So-oo-oo… this was originally going to be fanart of Anders, thought you might be forgiven for not noticing due to me deciding to, a) draw it in a RIDICULOUS FUCKING PERSPECTIVE, and b) just randomly make up an outfit.

That wasn’t due to lack of references, mind you; it’s a deliberate mash-up of both Tevinter robe styles in-game, as well as Anders’ concept art (which, to be fair, doesn’t look much like him either, so I guess I’m in good company). HOLY SHIT MAN I THINK YOU NEED MORE CRAP ON YOUR BELT, YEAH? Like more belts! And that’s seriously like the BEST PLACE EVER for a knife! Nothing at all could go wrong with having your knife there.

FFS, Dee.

Anyway. Despite every way in which this pic sucks, I do kinda like it. Even with the RIDICULOUSLY MELODRAMATIC POSE, which was the result of me snapping pictures of myself with PhotoBooth. No lie.

First panel from a Zenntheartof: Dragon Age 2 comic I will probably never finish (and which has previously made an appearance at Azeroth.me).

Man, everyone’s armour in this game is outrageously complicated; three freaking panels and I think it took me like four hours to sketch, even in the supposedly “simplified” style. Pffft!

Also: Anders and Varric have almost exactly the same hairstyle. Go figure.
