We have been so busy recently! What with winning the Time Out Chicago 2012 Shopping Awards for Best Consignment Shopping, attending events and providing our excellent service to our elite clientele and shoppers; we’ve had little to no time to post. So, we thought it would be good this week to update you on what we’ve been doing. Some things, like our participation in an exclusive eBay pilot program, will have to remain a secret for now but we promise it is all worth it.

Recently The HAUTE Spot attended the Derek Lam Spring 2013 presentation where the designer made a personal appearance along with Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing.

The collection was absolutely gorgeous. Wear right now party dresses sauntered down the runway alongside warm weather printed pieces and some of the most covetable handbags yet. The entire presentation was pure Lam; easy and chic sportswear.

Guests of the presentation not only got up close and personal with the clothing and accessories but were also granted a question and answer session with Derek and Ken. Our Sales Manager Melissa even got some camera time with Ken Downing himself.

Fashion Focus Week is in full swing, and last night was one of the most anticipated shows of the entire event. The Macy’s Chicago Fashion Incubator runway presentation, held in Millenium Park, showcased some truly fabulous local talent. As part of the Mayor Richard M. Daley Fashion Initiative, The CFI is a hotbed of local creative energy and a chance to help local fashion designers launch their careers. The HAUTE Spot was representing in full force at last night’s presentation and were awestruck by what came down the runway.

We are so happy to be able to support local talent once more and supremely enjoyed the show.

Tonight we will be out and about for several events including the Fashion Takes Flight show with Mario Tricoci.

Last night The HAUTE Spot was in attendance at the Next Fashion Chicago 2012 runway presentation, hosted by the fabulous Candace Jordan and Marcus Riley. As part of Fashion Focus Week, the event was a stunning showcase of established local designers and boutiques.

After the VIP cocktail reception, guests settled into their chairs in anticipation of a sensational fashion show; and indeed the evening was a success.
