<p>We love how designer Vicente Wolf placed the bathtub inside the glassed-in shower in the above photo. He vision of making the cast-concrete tub “a sculptural focal point” is well played.</p>

A design team, led by designer to the stars, Michael Smith, adorned the Oval Office with a neutral color palette. Shifting away from the typical red, white and blue motif, <strong>President Obama’s office</strong> is done in browns and beiges with custom coffee-colored leather sofas. The piece d’ resistance is the custom-made rug with quotes from some of our most inspiring luminaries such as Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.</p>
<p>Designers are taking a cue from the politicians and remain split on what they think of the redo. Interior designer Mario Buatta, <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/08/31/AR2010083106168.html?hpid=features1&hpv=local" target="_blank">as quoted in <em>The Washington Post</em></a>, finds the sofas too casual and notes a relative lack of “regard for… history and tradition.”</p>
