Starting with the already awesome SC10 4×4, Team Associated takes our 4WD short course truck to the next level with the full Factory Team treatment. The new high performance features found on the SC10 4×4 Factory Team kit have been designed to give this truck the competitive edge in the dirt and on the track. The SC10 4×4 Factory Team kit is built from the same race proven composite modular chassis but with many new upgraded features added. The chassis layout has been reconfigured and now features a centralized-mass battery mount. This allows the use of a saddle pack battery to optimize the weight distribution of the chassis. With the addition of the Factory Team carbon fiber chassis brace rod, the chassis flex has been made more consistent and predictable for an overall improvement in handling and traction.

One of the more radical features on the SC10 4×4 Factory Team kit is the VTS4 slipper clutch, a variable torque, multi-plate slipper clutch with 4-drive surfaces. The VTS4 slipper clutch is a big step up in performance by providing increased torque capacity in addition to finer resolution in adjustment. This all adds up to more consistent power transfer to the ground.

The SC10 4×4 Factory Team Kit has also received the upgrades you would come to expect to find in full blown race car. You’ll find Factory Team 13mm hard anodized aluminum big-bore threaded shocks, blue aluminum clamping wheel hexes and sway bar sets already in the box!

Exotek have released a saddle pack inline mount for Exotek SC10 4×4 LCG chassis. It uses the pre-drilled holes found on the LCG alloy chassis. The design allows for bolt in mounting of saddle packs and mounts your standard saddle packs ‘inline’ for better balance over the stock SC10 4×4 location. It can be used with the stock plastic chassis if you drill your own holes for 3mm hardware. Includes threaded posts, spacers and hardware.

Pro-Line have released a sneak peek of their new Slash 4×4 ProTrac kit. Near completion the kit will consist of new suspension arms and turnbuckles to widen the geometry of the truck for smoother handling. The arms have multiple mounting locations for suspension tuning and the wheels, which will most likely be included, will be the popular ProTrac negative offset matching other popular SC trucks such as SC10 and Losi. The team is really excited as the Prototype truck has performed very well in testing at a variety of tracks. We will have more information when the kit is released.

There were 172 entries at the 7th Annual Snow Ball Championship held last weekend at the famous R/C Excitement track in Fitchburg, Mass. Most of the top drivers in the New England area turned out to challenge another great Excitement lay-out. Mike Aliberti totally dominated the 2WD Mod Short Course class with his brand new X-Factory SCX-60CF, the new carbon fiber short course Conversion Kit about to be announced. Aliberti’s slim mid-motor truck handily won both rounds of qualifying and won the A main by more than two laps.

DE Racing have announced the release of a rear skid plate for the Team Associated SC10 4×4. This part replaces the stock rear mini bumper with a new rear mini bumper / skid plate. Sold in packs of 2.

With over 170+ entries at the North East Snow Ball Championship at R/C Excitement was one of the biggest races in the region. Tekin team driver John Cravotta TQ’d the deep field of 4wd SC with his Tekin Rx8 Pro 4 combination taking the overall win as a result. John also TQ’d Electric Ebuggy and managed a 2nd Place after having some last minute trouble losing the top spot by .10 of a second.

This past weekend Pro-Line opened its legendary test track in Banning, CA to the local Short Course crowd for some fun, food and the opportunity to meet the a few of the top RC drivers in the World such as World Champion Cody King, Adam Drake, along with Ty Tessmann, Rhonda Drake, Scott Hughes and Pro-Line’s own Tim Clark and Gerardo Gonzalez. Pro-Line would like to take the opportunity and thank all who came to their Open House and helped to make it a huge success. ST Racing Concepts introduce the green anodised aluminium parts series for the Traxxas 2WD Short Course truck. These parts will certainly be a hit for those wanting to hop-up their favourite energy drink theme short course truck or add some durability and great looks to their machine. The LRP X12L Short Course 550-size motor is based on the well-known X12 brushless motor series by LRP. The longer “L” version is specially designed for the use in the somewhat heavier 1/10 scale 4WD Short Course trucks and sports adjustable timing, a sintered magnet 13mm rotor and speedy 5.0T winding that adds to the already existing 4.5T and 5.5T variants.

Yeah Racing introduce aluminium mud flap plates for Team Associated’s SC10 4×4 Short Course truck. The plates are cut from aluminium, come blue anodised and sport the Yeah Racing logo. Available in a set of four plates the parts are used to securely press the mud flaps against the rear bumper to protect the rubber parts from damage.
