Sorry, but Robert Pattinson already confirmed he will not star as handsome Finnick Odair in the Hunger Games sequel "Catching Fire."

The news about Pattinson's agent receiving a call from the producers of the smash-hit movie surfaced early this week, but the British actor was prompt in saying that his agent reassured him that no one offered him that part in the movie.

However, another news came out that the role of Finnick Odair, a stunningly handsome chap from District 4 and one of the most skilled tributes, might go to either of the final three actors narrowed down to play the role - Armie Hammer (who played both Winklevoss brothers in "The Social Network"), Taylor Kitsch (former "Friday Night Lights" hunk and star of "Battleship") and Garrett Hedlund (from "TRON").

The second installment of "The Hunger Games" called "Catching Fire" will hit theaters on November 23, 2013.

The Miami cannibal attack became a national headlines after Rudy Eugene, a homeless man was shot and killed by police after being caught in the act of chewing on another human being's face - that of another homeless man named Ronald Poppo.

Now, some conspirators claim it is just the latest sign that a "zombie apocalypse" is sweeping across the nation.

But that is not the only event to happen in the last 12 days in Florida that conspiracy theorists say is evidence that the long-feared "zombie apocalypse" is beginning in the sunny state and elsewhere throughout the nation.

In chronological order, here’s what went down in the sunny state:

May 16 – According to a report by the Huffington Post, students and teachers at a Florida high school had to be decontaminated after breaking out in a mysterious rash.

May 21 – According to a report by MySuburbanLife.com, A man from Bellwood, Illinois, was arrested after allegedly biting an 18-year-old woman’s cheek.

May 23 – According to NBC San Diego, a man from Spring Valley, California was arrested for allegedly biting the tip off of his cousin’s nose off.

May 26 – According to ABC News, a Florida anesthesiologist allegedly banged his head against the inside of a cop car until he started bleeding following a DUI arrest last Saturday, the same day as the Miami cannibal attack. He then proceeded to allegedly spit blood in a police officer’s face.

The concept of a "zombie apocalypse," during which humans turn into zombies and walk the earth in search of the last remaining humans so they can feed on their brains, has been popularized by movies like "Shaun of the Dead" and "28 Days Later," and has inspired books, blogs and more about the concept.

Here are more events that support the “Zombie Apocalpse” theory:

May 26 – According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, a man from Palm Coast, Florida, was arrested for allegedly biting the lips off one kitten and strangling another cat to death.

May 27 – According to the Daily Mail, a man from Hackensack, New Jersey, allegedly stabbed himself repeatedly in front of the police then began to pull his own guts out, and proceeded to throw his intestines at police officers.

These weird events happened in nearby locations just a period of 12 days since the breakout of a mysterious rash at a Florida High School. Is this really the beginning of “Zombie Apocalypse”?

The news about the Miami cannibal attack became sensational in the US over the weekend as it sparked a conspiracy theory about the so-called “Zombie Apocalypse.”

The term was actually a title of a 2011 horror movie on Syfy channel inspired by fictional undead creatures popularized by hit movies such as “Dawn of the Dead” and tv series like “The Walking Dead.”

Intimately tied to the conception of the modern zombie is the “zombie apocalypse”, the breakdown of society as a result of zombie infestation, which has emerged as a prolific subgenre of apocalyptic fiction and been portrayed in countless zombie-related media post-Night. In a zombie apocalypse, a widespread (usually global) rise of zombies hostile to human life engages in a general assault on civilization. Victims of zombies may become zombies themselves. This causes the outbreak to become an exponentially growing crisis: the spreading “zombie plague/virus” swamps normal military and law enforcement organizations, leading to the panicked collapse of civilian society until only isolated pockets of survivors remain, scavenging for food and supplies in a world reduced to a pre-industrial hostile wilderness.

It’s interesting to note that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the US issued a warning about the zombie apocalypse in 2011. Titled “Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse,” is a blog post of the agency that uses a zombie apocalypse scenario to raise public awareness on preparations for emergency situations. In a blog post titled “Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse”, the Director of the CDC’s Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response, Rear Admiral Dr. Ali S. Khan writes: “Take a zombie apocalypse for example. That’s right, I said z-o-m-b-i-e a-p-o-c-a-l-y-p-s-e. You may laugh now, but when it happens you’ll be happy you read this, and hey, maybe you’ll even learn a thing or two about how to prepare for a real emergency.” Comparing the upcoming hurricane season and possible pandemics to “flesh-eating zombies” from the horror film Night of the Living Dead and the video game series Resident Evil, Dr. Khan recommends Americans prepare for natural disasters as they would have prepared for “ravenous monsters”

Now it seems like the Zombie Apocalypse is becoming a reality after the Miami Cannibal Attack: a homeless man named Rudy Eugene was shot and killed by police on Saturday, while chewing another man’s face off.

Eugene was caught by the police naked under a flyover in Miami chewing the face of another naked man. The police told him to stop but he did not listened. He was shot and killed while the other man was brought to the hospital.

This incident ignited the conspiracy theory about the Zombie Apocalypse.

It was a scene as creepy as a Hannibal Lecter movie.

One man was shot to death by Miami police, and another man is fighting for his life after he was attacked, and his face allegedly half eaten, by a naked man on the MacArthur Causeway off ramp Saturday, police said.

The horror began about 2 p.m. when a series of gunshots were heard on the ramp, which is along NE 13th Street, just south of The Miami Herald building.

According to police sources, a road ranger saw a naked man chewing on another man’s face and shouted on his loud speaker for him to back away.Meanwhile, a woman also saw the incident and flagged down a police officer who was in the area.

The officer, who has not been identified, approached and, seeing what was happening, also ordered the naked man to back away. When he continued the assault, the officer shot him, police sources said. The attacker failed to stop after being shot, forcing the officer to continue firing. Witnesses said they heard at least a half dozen shots.

Miami police were on the scene, which was just south of The Miami Herald building on Biscayne Boulevard. The naked man who was killed lay face down on the pedestrian walkway just below the newspaper’s two-story parking garage. Police have requested The Herald’s video surveillance tapes.

The other man was transported to the hospital with critical injuries, according to police. Their identities were not released.

The Movie and TV Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) today hands down its 3-months suspension order and a fine of P100,000 for TV5's daily afternoon public affairs program "T3 Kapatid Sagot Kita!"

Search for Dad Sets Superhero Course in “The Amazing Spider-Man”

It's not just a random mutant spider bite that sets Hollywood's new Peter Parker on the superhero career track.

From the trailers of "The Amazing Spider-Man" (and the six-minute extended footage now playing with “Men In Black 3”) it's clear that something dark and deep is at the heart of Peter's fateful encounter with that spider. He may even be a Spider-Man of destiny.

The footage offers glimpses of the orphan boy's natural father (Campbell Scott), a man shrouded in a mystery that Peter (Andrew Garfield) needs to unravel as a youth.

Garfield, co-star Emma Stone and director Marc Webb would not divulge details, but they did acknowledge that a personal quest puts Peter on a collision course with the spider whose bite imparts superpowers.

"I love the idea of destiny having a hand in Peter Parker's fortune, and not just being a slip and a fall," Garfield said in an interview. "I love the idea of him being meant to assume this symbol."

"The Amazing Spider-Man" maintains the classic Parker family structure of the Marvel Comics and the three previous big-screen blockbusters that starred Tobey Maguire as Peter. Garfield's Peter is raised by his upright Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and loving Aunt May (Sally Field).

In Maguire's version, a school field trip took Peter to the lab where that spider gave him the momentous nip. In the new film, Peter's on a mission when fate strikes.

"There's a lot that leads him to that spider bite in this one," Stone said. "It's not just a school field trip. He snuck in there for some reason."

The footage also showed some significant portions setting up Peter's transformation into the web-slinging hero, along with the mutation of a one-armed scientist (Rhys Ifans) into a hulking green villain known as the Lizard.

Though Scott as Peter's father appears only briefly, the footage indicates that his character is pivotal to the fortunes of his son.

"It's about a kid who goes out looking for his father, and he finds himself," Webb said. "I don't want to get too specific beyond that, but that's certainly a big part of what the story's about, my angle on the Peter Parker character. The fact that he's sort of an orphan, I think that's something really interesting to explore."

77-year-old Edith Wilma Connor, was named by Guinness World Record as the "World's Oldest Female Bodybuilder".

"It's a lot of fun and I relish the attention my unusual hobby-age combination attracts." Connor said of this recognition.

Connor, who says she still enjoys working out with her grandchildren up to this day, first entered a competition and won first place at the Grand Masters in Las Vegas at the age of 60. From then on, she became hooked on weights and went on to become a personal trainer specializing in the mature body.

Connor's youngest son was her first trainer, and after launching her bodybuilding career, she has been working with her elder son and granddaughter. In total, she has three sons, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

U.S. President Barack Obama personally oversees his government’s top-secret al-Qaeda ‘kill list,’ a process that includes the creation of a yearbook-style catalogue of terrorists listing their names, photos, ages and biographies.

New York Times reporters Jo Becker and Scott Shane interviewed three dozen current and former advisers to Mr. Obama to explain how the leader took on the role of overseeing the shadow war with al-Qaeda — one that has no precedent in U.S. presidential history.

“He is determined that he will make these decisions about how far and wide these operations will go,” says Thomas E. Donilon, Mr. Obama’s national security adviser.

“His view is that he’s responsible for the position of the United States in the world … He’s determined to keep the tether pretty short.”

The Times described the secretive process, which begins with some 100 counter-terrorism officials sifting through biographies and “nominating” suspects in Yemen and Somalia to be added to the kill list during a secure video conference run by the Pentagon.

The CIA carries out a separate process for suspects in Pakistan, it said.

Mr. Obama personally approves the killing of top suspects, such as al-Qaeda preacher Anwar al-Awlaqi — a U.S. citizen — who was killed by a U.S. drone strike in Yemen last year.

Rudy Eugene, a 31-year-old man, was shot and killed by police on Tuesday afternoon after attacking and eating another homeless man - 65-year-old Ronald Poppo.

According to reports, the incident happened near The Miami Herald’s headquarters in Miami. Both men were naked at the time of the attack. When police officers arrived on the scene, they repeatedly ordered the attacker to stop and leave his victim alone. But instead of following the order, "Eugene just stood his head up like that, with a piece of flesh in his mouth, and growled," leaving the police officers with no choice but to shot him dead, leaving his body next to the mangled body of the Poppo who is now in critical condition at a hospital.

Rodman Sentenced 4 Days Community Service, 3 Years Jail Probation by Court

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was sentenced to 4 days (equivalents to 104 hours) of community service and 3 years of informal probation in Orange County court Tuesday after being found guilty of contempt for failing to pay child support, a court official said.

"Rodman also must pay current child and spousal support, and he still owes hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional back child support,” the official said.

Rodman still has to settle any remaining disputes over child support and an additional contempt charge when he appears in court June 22, the official said.

Rodman, 51, spent 14 years in the NBA but is now broke, his attorney and financial advisor told The Times this year.

"In all honesty, Dennis, although a very sweet person, is an alcoholic," said Peggy Williams, his financial advisor. "His sickness impacts his ability to get work."

In March, an Orange County court commissioner told Rodman that he faced a possible 20-day jail stint or community service for contempt of court unless he came up with $860,376 in child and spousal support he owes his ex-wife by Tuesday.

Rodman's wild ways and eccentric hair are well known in Orange County, where he has lived off and on since the 1990s. He has worn a wedding dress to promote a book, dated Madonna, married Carmen Electra and been a competitor on Donald Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice."

His former oceanfront home in Newport Beach could have been mistaken for a police substation. The police were called there 80 times, mostly to quell raucous parties. Rodman arrived for his 40th birthday party in a helicopter — which landed illegally on the beach.

His 47-foot speedboat, Sexual Chocolate, was towed when he docked it at another person's slip in Newport Harbor. He plied Balboa Peninsula's narrow streets in a Humvee adorned with a painting of a naked woman and a Ford F-350 pickup with a self-portrait on the hood.

When his third wife, Michelle Rodman, sued him for divorce in 2004, Rodman sold the beach pad. At the time, he listed his previous year's income as $570,000. He said he had $3.4 million in property and $1.45 million in stocks and bonds. But, he said, maintaining his hard-charging lifestyle cost him more than $31,000 a month.

The couple have spent several years trying to reconcile, but the marriage was dissolved this year after his wife petitioned the court again.

Rodman won three NBA championships with the Bulls in the late 1990s and also played briefly with the Lakers.

Following the guilty verdict handed to him by the Senate Impeachment Court for allegedly violating Article 2* of the Philippines Constitution, Chief Justice Renato Corona has released this official statement:

Lubos kong ikinalulungkot ang naging pasiya ng Senate Impeachment Court. Bilang Punong Mahistrado, buong tapang at talino kong hinarap ang hamon ng impeachment at sumailalim ako sa proseso na alinsunod sa Saligang Batas, umaasang makakamit ang hustisyang aking hinanap ng mahigit limang buwan.

Hindi kaila sa akin na gagamitin ng Pangulo ang buong puwersa ng gobyerno, kasama na ang mga ahensiyang dapat sana ay malayang nagpapasiya - ang Kamara, ang BIR, ang LRA, ang AMLC, ang Ombudsman, at iba pa.

Hindi rin kaila sa akin na gagamit ng kabang-yaman para sa mapanira at mapang-aping media campaign, sa radyo, telebisyon at dyaryo, laban sa akin at sa aking pamilya. Lahat po ito ay tinanggap ko, alang-alang sa kasarinlan ng Hudikatura, upang maitaguyod ang kalayaang magpasiya ng mga hukuman, na isang napakahalagang sangkap ng ating demokrasya.

Ngunit nanaig ang masamang pulitika. Wala po akong sala. Wala pong katotohanan ang mga bintang sa akin na nakapaloob sa Articles of Impeachment. Malinis po ang konsyensiya ko. Ngunit isang malungkot na katotohanang pulitikal na minsan ang tingin ng nakararami na nangyari, ay hindi naaayon sa tunay na mga naganap. Lalo na kapag hawak ng iisang tao o pangkat ang buong makinarya ng pamahalaan, at maging ang media na rin, at gamitin ang mga ito upang gumawa ng huwad na dokumento at maglathala ng mapanlinlang na impormasiyon at balita upang manira ng kalaban. Ang lagi nga pong katanungan ay, "Kung malakas ang kaso, bakit kailangan mag-imbento?"

Ang ating bansa ay matagal nang ginambala ng impeachment na ito. At ngayong gabi, inaanyayahan ko kayong talikuran ang naging sentro ng palabas na ito nitong nakaraang limang buwan, upang buuin ang hiblang nagkawatak-watak, at ibaling muli ang ating pansin sa lahat ng mga pagsubok at pangako ng Pilipinas sa susunod na siglo.

Ihinto na po natin ang pulitika ng personal na paninira. Supilin na po natin ang lason na dulot ng labis na kampi-kampihan, labis na pagkakawatak-watak, at hindi mapigilang poot at galit. Hindi po ito ang nararapat para sa ating bayan. Hindi po ito ang buod ng bansang Pilipinas. Panahon na upang isulong ang ating buhay bilang isang bansa.

Tayong lahat ay may mga mahalagang tungkuling dapat tugunan - tunay na mga pagkakataong kailangang samantalahing maabot, totoong mga suliraning kailangang lutasin, at tunay na mga usaping dapat harapin.

Taos-puso po akong nagpapasalamat sa iilang Senador, sina Senador Joker Arroyo, Senadora Miriam Defensor Santiago at Senador Bongbong Marcos na may matatag na kaloobang manindigan sa kabila ng matinding puwersa upang ipaglaban ang kasarinlan ng Hudikatura at ang aking mga karapatan na malinaw na nakasaad sa ating Saligang-Batas.

Nagpapasalamat din po ako sa mga napakarami nating mga kababayan na nagparating ng kanilang pakiki-isa sa amin sa Kataastaasang Hukuman, sa akin, at sa aking pamilya. Kasabay nito, ako po ay humihingi ng paumanhin sa aking maybahay, mga anak at apo, sapagkat sa aking pagtatanggol sa kasarinlan ng Hudikatura ay nailagay ko sila sa kalbaryong hindi naman nila kinailangang maranasan. Pati na rin po sa mga tumulong at sumuporta sa akin, humihingi rin po ako sa inyo ng paumanhin, sapagkat hindi naging sapat ang aking kakayahan upang magtagumpay sa hangarin nating pairalin ang katotohanan.

Kung ito po ang ikabubuti ng ating bayan, tinatanggap ko na po ang kalbaryong aming pinagdaanan. Dahil sa simula't sapul naman, ay handa na akong mag-alay ng sariling buhay para sa bayan. Kung kaya, ipinapaubaya ko na po sa ating Poong Maykapal at sa taong bayan na higit na makapangyarihan sa ating demokrasya ang aking kinabukasan at ang kinabukasan ng ating Hudikatura.
