See.... I figured something like this would happen. Either the march (which could still go on) would end very badly or .gov would come up with reason enough to arrest the guy before such a march could happen. Of course he was arrested for being at a marijuana rally, they can't get him for possession so they charged him with assault on an officer, which he clearly didn't do in the video. His assault charge is from him locking arms with another protester to make it difficult to arrest him. Out of the hundreds of people there they specifically targeted Kokesh. Anybody who's ever heard of the guy would likely know that he was targeted for his political views (I'm not saying he had a good idea in very publicly announcing his intent to march on DC with a large armed crowd). I wish these sheriffs much luck with this. While I believe they may succeed, and the recall elections may succeed in Colorado, as Lighthorse says, the cost of ammo because of the DHS purchases, is what I see as an issue. They did this to either go to war with us or to keep the ammo out of our hands. Either is wrong and no amount of law suits or congressional orders will solve that problem.

Figures! Every light socket in my house has a CFL in it. On top of that, son, DIL, and two grandbabies (17 & 3 mo.) are living with us.
Guess I will have to start first with the lamps in switching to LEDs. Can only do a little at a time on my current budget.
Any other suggestions?

I think it's one of the Army field manuals that mentions shoving a razor blade into a stick and shoving it in the ground. Then you wet the blade and salt it down. The rabbits lick the salt, slit their tongue and supposedly bleed out. Something about not being able to clot on their tongue. If you do it in the winter you can follow the blood trail in the snow. In the summer, who knows where they will end up but that would be a silent method.

I don't drink alcohol at all, but I too think that there will be many uses in a SHTF scenario to justify learning how to make ethanol. I just watched "The Last Run" on the Documentary Channel. That's the title they used to list it, but then offered the documentary at the end of the show by the title, "The Last One." It was a very interesting story of Popcorn Sutton's last run of moonshine. He tells several stories throughout the documentary. One story tells of a moonshine delivery and being caught on the far side of a mountain without enough gasoline for the return trip. With no gasoline available to siphon, he resorts to burning moonshine. He said his old Model A Ford was engulfed in a cloud of blue smoke, but he made it back.

Pure ethanol is NOT okay for most engines. Even 10% ethanol can destroy plastic, rubber, and silicon (petroleum based) parts within small engines, and these engines should never be stored with this type of fuel left in them. If you’ve wondered why you can start a weed eater or chainsaw, but it won’t stay started, it is likely due to the fact that the tube that supplies the engine with fuel inside the gas tank has deteriorated. That tube is weighted with a gas filter that helps keep the bottom end of the tube in the fuel at all angles of operation. You may be able to start the equipment, but once you change the orientation of the engine to put the equipment into use, your filter tube (if it still exists at all) is no longer flexing into the bottom of the tank to reach the fuel. Thank you, ethanol! I "now" always use unethanolized (I made up that word) gasoline for my yard equipment, but the truth is, even gravity fed engines may suffer damage as well (lawn mower, generator, etc.).

I use 5 gallon buckets for all my long term storage items ..... found color coding my various prep good types is helpful ..... use colored electrical tape for banding around the bucket rim area .... black for food - red for medical - blue for personal products - ect ect
