Shugyo is the japanese word that is difficult to translate directly into english… most simply shugyo is practice, but a practice that is committed to holistic self-development. Shugyo can take many forms and it is the goal of Shugyo Center to provide the space, instruction and community to help individuals pursue the shugyo of their choice.

Our new web presence gives our community a greater voice and provides a new opportunity to extend shugyo into dialog with current and prospective students as well as friends and colleagues from around the world. We invite and look forward to any of your questions and comments, regarding your practice whatever it may be.
