He won’t love you any better when you become better. He loves you 100% right now, and even if you have no plans to become better, He will still love you 100%; because He loves you, because that’s the way that He is.

Even if you don’t want to change, He will love you 100%.

Even if you have no plans to walk with Him, He will love you 100%, because that’s his nature.

He loves all the way all the time. His love is unchanging.

What will change says the Lord is your ability to receive my love, and this evening I want to cram some more of that ability inside you.

I dare you says the Lord, come on, open you heart to me, give me your heart, give me whatever your obstacle is, I’ll take it, I’ll remove it out of the way, because I love you as you are right now.

I love you 100% as you are right this moment.

it is your job says the Lord, to be loved outrageously.

It is why I chose you, and it is why I set my love upon you, that you would live as one who is outrageously loved.

That you would receive a radical love, so radical it will blow all your paradigms of what you think love is.

And you may love me back with the love that I give you; you may love Me back outrageously, with the outrageous love that I bestow upon you.

And know this says the Lord you can only love Me as much as you love yourself.

So My love comes this evening to set you free from yourself, to set you free from how you see yourself. To set you free from the smallness of your own thinking about yourself.

My love comes to set you free from rejection, and from shame, and from low self-esteem, and from despair and from abuse.

Because when I look at you says the Lord, I see something that I love, and I see someone that I can love outrageously.

And I have so much to bestow upon you, so much to give you, so many places to take you in My heart, but you can’t go there unless you allow Me to love you.

And my love for you, will break every barrier, bring every wall crashing down.

Hi from Salta once again.

Just a quick update this time. Just stopped off at the cafe on the way home from the building site. Today we´ve started on a new task of throwing cement at walls. Ben and I made a great cement mixing team. We´re all covered in cement splats though. Need to clean up before tonight’s trip to see the Salta Symphonic Orchestra for a cultured evening which I missed out on 2 weeks ago.´

Team life is going well, yesterday we agreed to take our team holiday in Iquazu falls! Should be a great time to see some amazing scenery (one of the 7 natural wonders of the world I´m told) and relax a bit as the team. Not quite so looking forward to some epic 20 hour bus rides… The weekend was good with both a talent show and a trip to Jujuy.

Here are a few photos to give you a snapshot of what I’m up to here. I’ve got more time today so here is a more detailed post!

After 3 and half weeks we’re getting a feel for life here. We work on the building site Tuesday to Saturday. For the first week and a half this mainly involved levelling the ground in the main hall. Our second task was to dig a network of trenches and deep holes for the plumbing. It’s been heavy manual work with pickaxes and shovels but I’ve enjoyed getting stuck into it. I’ve not had any problems with my back, or illness for that matter. As a team we’ve had our share of illness but I think we can be thankful that it’s not been anything too major.

During workdays 3 people are assigned to domestic each day. This means cleaning and cooking for the team. This can be a tough job with 13 hungry builders to feed. During the first week these were pretty stressful, especially adjusting to the Argentinean way of doing things! We’ve getting used to it more and more now and domestic days are nice break from manual work. I’ve loved some of the efforts people have gone to, we’ve enjoyed toad in the hole, roast beef and beef stew and dumplings to name a few.

Accommodation is tight but homely. We have a semi-outside bathroom and shower with hot water. Inside there is a central room that is big enough for us to all sit down on chairs with not much space to spare. On one end is the guy’s sleeping area separated by a curtain, nicknamed the ‘nubbin’. It’s just big enough to fit in a single bed and bunk bed with a narrow passage through the middle, leading to the kitchen. It’s not much but it’s our space. The lack of space is not bothering me to much. Off the main room is two smaller rooms, one for the girls and the other for mark and ellie our leaders. In think I’d rather have our lack of privacy rather than be packed into such a tight space for 8 people as in the girls room.

Our days and evenings off are great to relax. I’m loving spending time with and getting to know the rest of the team. We get up to all sorts of things from exploring the area to evenings in. Particular favourites include late board games with the lads.

This Monday we went to the cinema to see Inception. I really enjoyed the film and the afternoon. The area we were in is noticeably different to the rest of Salt. I couldn’t help feeling rich with so many expensive shops to most people here sounding us. Lunch was a typical Argentinean meal of beef. Ben and I had more steak between us than I’d ever seen before but it was so good.

Here goes another quick update. The weather here is a lot warmer since the last update. As a team we are now in a semi-routine with our weeks and days. Work on the building site is progressing well with lots of trenches dug for the water, including a hole to the main sewage pipe in the middle of the road overt 2 metres deep.

Another quick hello! It´s well worth keeping an eye on this flickr feed for photos of our team, thanks to Mark.

Have even less time today. I´m about to go to a ´Friends day party´! It´s been a tough few days here. As you can read about on the team blog salta has had a crazy amount of snow and this put a stop to all our building work. With illness taking hold and frustration taking hold we reached a low point on saturday. However we have lifted out spirits and yesterday took a great trip into slata. There´s a lot more to tell you but just don´t have time. I´ve been fine with the illness myself, nothing at all really. Looking forward to getting stuck into the building site tomorrow again!

Here goes another quick update. I still havn´t got any pictures! Next time I really need to plan what to say before hand.

We had our first day on the building site on Tuesday. The building has three rather high walls in place already for the main hall and the first floor of the other rooms. Work is done so differently here to anything I´ve seen before. Everything is done in little bits with more added over time. So far we have been mainly clearing out earth from inside of the hall with pickaxes and spades with a bit of brick laying on the final wall. It´s hard work but we are getting the hang of it and making really good progress.

Each day 3 people are on domestic duties mainly cooking, cleaning and shopping. The most difficult thing for me is adjusting to the cultur in terms of time keeping and shopping, it can be stressful until you learn to work their way.

Just got a few minutes in an internet cafe to give you a quick update. We all got here safely and are settling in well, recovered from the long journey. The people are so so welcoming! The team is getting on great. We´ve done so many things already it´s difficult to know what to mention. All 13 of us are crammed into a small house but it´s all we need. We´ve been doing orientation for the first two days and today we went to see the building site. There is lots to do, looking forward to getting started tomorrow. The food is amazing and the people sure do love their meat. We were invited to a BBQ yesterday which has to be the best food I´ve eaten for a long time.

The part of Salta we´re in is not as urban as I expected. It´s so difficult to describe it. I´ll try and do a better job when I have more time, hopefully with photos. It´s very dry, no rain this time of year. However it gets very cold at nights, verging on 0 degrees. During the day the sun heats it up very quickly.
