Consider this when searching for your go-to mobile betting app. If there’s no one in a more popular game such as Premier League or MotoGP then there’s a good chance that the app is not well supported and it may not work. However, if there’s another big game around that’s worth checking out, the chance of it being a popular app has gone up.

Most mobile app publishers will take the app you recommend and put their own name on it. So if your app is popular they’ll do their best to have their name on it. But how do you know if it’s good or not?

It can be a difficult problem, but I’ll try and help you find out.

1) Choose a reputable app developer

I’ve written a guide on how to choose a mobile app developer in the last article which contains some useful information, and a checklist for developers to work through.

App development isn’t the most profitable business, but it’s a fun and rewarding one. A fun one for the whole family, that is. If you’ve got a team or you’re going solo then I highly recommend that you use a trusted app developer. Check out this guide from the makers of the most popular dating app out there, Tinder. Not only do they give a list of what’s required to start building a great Tinder app, but they also take the time to help you through the whole process. 2) Be prepared for criticism A lot of great apps that are launched are terrible, but because of the lack of feedback from the users that were using it, that’s to be expected. I know that the majority of my followers are only doing this for the love of the sport and just want to play a few games before the next one and make friends with people. So when you’re out there building an app you’ve built for yourself, you probably don’t want to waste a lot of time and energy trying to convince people who you’ve never met to try your app. While I may not be a huge influencer myself, I did notice a few great apps on the App Store that were launched by people that were my friends on social media.

Here are some of them that I would recommend:

PulseSports is one of my favorite apps. I love this app because it has a very cool feature that lets you select your opponents for any of the official FIFA 14 matchdays, and it even displays a team on the map for you to see how close they are in relation to your goal. Another cool feature is the ability to post on the site and update your score as the match progresses. There’s a whole ton more to PulseSports, so if you’re into FIFA and have a few friends, download PulseSports to keep track of your scores! There’s something very special about this app, but I have to be honest, when it comes to sports betting games, I prefer the FanDuel website.

Company owner Simon Miller worked on digital event sign-in technology for two years, experimenting with smartboards and other touch screens before landing on Apple’s iPad to create the iSign guestbook. Flush-mounted on the bezel of a custom metal truss podium, the battery-powered iSign stands at a height that’s low enough for kids but comfy for taller guests, too. Arriving guests sign in, using stylus and software options to add a personal touch-screen touch or two, and then their messages are displayed on a tethered big screen for fellow revelers to see. “For the larger screen, we use our proprietary LCD screen enclosures that are made from diamond-plate chrome,” Miller explains.

Miller and his team can create digital iSign backgrounds to match any theme imaginable. Summer camp logos, pix of pals and sports teammates, palettes or thematic symbols — you name it and the Simon Elliot Events crew has probably digitized it into an iSign background. The iSign podium is customizable, too. For a recent basketball-theme event, Miller turned the iPad podium surface into a basketball and the display screen into the backboard. “The options are limitless,” he says.

A big hit at bar and bat mitzvah bashes and Sweet 16s, the iSign “incorporates many technologies that are at the heart of today’s culture,” Miller says. “Our young guests are so enthralled with technology, whether on the web or their cellphones, the iSign is a mere extension of what to them is already so natural.”

The Pressure Was On: How a Bar/Bat Mitzvah expert planned her own daughter’s Simcha

The pressure was on! As the founder of a website that caters to the bar/bat mitzvah industry, with thousands of readers across the country, I knew people were waiting to see how my family would celebrate my daughter Carly’s bat mitzvah in November 2010. When I was given her date 4 years ago, MitzvahMarket.com wasn’t even a thought, and I had no idea where to begin. Do I book a venue, put a DJ on hold, shop around for a photographer?

COST-SAVING IDEAS
All our party photography was done by SImon Elliot Events. They also did a photo session with our family at our Temple a few days prior to the service. Instead of having them create an album for us, they gave me high resolution photos on discs and I made my own album using the website blurb.com and if you want a special treat use the service from https://www.jumpersjungle.com/santa-fe-springs/.

CREATIVE TOUCHES
As an alternative to the traditional candle lighting ceremony, we came up with “Carly’s Karaoke Candle Lighting.” With the help of a pro – Poems by Carolyn – we wrote new words to 14 familiar songs that Carly recorded in advance in a studio at Simon Elliot Events. Guests sang along with Carly as the new words played over the sound system and the words appeared on the DJ’s screens. This made all our guests feel involved in the candle lighting ceremony.
For Carly’s entrance video, Simon Miller from Simon Elliot Events used editing magic to create a short trailer for the new reality series we called, “The Bat Mitzvah-rette!” It was clever and short and was shown just before Carly was carried into her party by the dancers.
Simon Miller was responsible for many of Carly’s unique touches including her iSign-in board – a new feature they debuted for Carly’s party. This exciting new service brings the sign-in board/book concept into the digital domain. Using a special iPad podium, guests were able to write messages for Carly that were displayed in real time on a plasma screen in the lobby of our venue.
