Jenkins + git: “tell me who you are” error

The idea of tagging when pulling/cloning a repo is common to most Build Scheduler out there:
Hudson-Jenkins, but also CruiseControl (The build label determined by the labelincrementer), or RTC Jazz Build Engine (where they are called "snapshots").

The idea is to set a persistent record of the input to a build.
That way, the code you are pulling, even if it wasn't tagged, is tagged automatically for you by the build scheduler, in order to be able to get back to that specific build later.

If that policy (always tagging before a build) is set, then Jenkins will need to know who you are in order to make a git tag (it is a git object with an author attached to it: user.name and user.email).

To set user.email and user.name, In jenkins, go to "Manage Jenkins" > "Configure System" and scroll down to "Git plugin" and complete "Global Config user.name Value" box and "Global Config user.email Value" box.

Medibuntu Down

Le repository de Medibuntu semble être down, si vous voulez continuer à profiter des mises a jours mais surtout eviter d'attendre un timeout pendant l'update, vous pouvez remplacer le repository par un de ses mirroirs dans le fichier /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list ou /etc/apt/sources.list

Si vous utilisez SVN vous connaissez surement Tortoise le client graphique pour Window$.

Sous Linux on est plus habitué à utiliser svn en ligne de commande, mais il existe une alternative graphique : RabbitVCS

RabbitVCS s'integre dans l'explorateur de fichier (Nautilus, Thunar, etc.)

Faire un checkdisk sur un My Book World

Hier j'ai du faire un fsck sur mon My Book World pour corriger suite à une coupure de courant.

Malheureusement mon

m'a gentiment renvoyé un

Error allocating block bitmap (4): Memory allocation failed.

Après quelques recherches sur le net, j'ai compris que les 32M de ram sont clairement insuffisants pour checker mes 3T de données.

Solution: Augmenter la ram avec de la swap.

Histoire de ne pas chipoter et comme je n'utilise presque pas le disque interne et qu'il me reste 2.5G sur /, j'ai créé une swap de 1G.

simon@mybook# dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=1M count=1000
simon@mybook# mkswap /swapfile
simon@mybook# swapon /swapfile
simon@mybook# fsck.ext3 /dev/md0

Tadaaa ! voila mon disque corrigé ;)

Changer le format d'une video

Pour changer le format (aspect ratio) par défaut d'une video
il faut d'abord calculer ce format par rapport à 1 ?!?

Exemple:
16:9 devient 1.77 (16/9)
4:3 devient 1.33 (4/3)

Ensuite réencoder le fichier video en remplacant les infos de format

mencoder -ovc copy -oac copy -force-avi-aspect 1.33 -o 'resultat.avi' 'original.avi'

Splitter un fichier video

Première moitié :

mencoder -endpos 01:00:00 -ovc copy -oac copy original.avi -o part1.avi

Seconde moitié :

mencoder -ss 01:00:00 -ovc copy -oac copy original.avi -o part2.avi

Evidemment le 01:00:00 est à adapter à l'endroit du film où vous voulez le splitter (hh:mm:ss)
