Wish list

Since it's Christmas soon, as well as my 22nd birthday, and I will be spending both here in Berlin (and can't really expect to get any present and/or Christmas gifts), I just though - why not write a wish list, just for the hell of it. This way it doesn't feel like I'm begging for anything, since I'm not actually expecting anything at all.

Anyway, these are some things I'd like to consume if I could afford it (or thought it was worth it).

That's the point of gifts, right? Getting the things you won't get for yourself.

Nikon Camera Lens Mugs

Now ain't this a beauty? Not that I'm really a photo nerd or anything (sure, who doesn't like to take photos every now and then), but this actually looks awesome. And I've long wanted to get a thermos mug, for those times when you just don't want to pay for a coffee to go. Hell, I'd use it every day, even at home.

- LIFE - Cardigan by Threadless Select

So yeah, I've always had a soft spot for Threadless' t-shirts. But while I haven't ordered anything from them in a while, they've started selling all kinds of clothes, like cardigans for example. As with the previous gift, I wouldn't call myself a perticularly hard core gaming fan but I've enjoyed my fair amout of Zelda-games on my almost full range of Nintendo consoles, so I immediately fell in love with this one.

Ice Cream Sandwich for my HTC Sensation

This one I'm pretty sure about ;) The picture is from Keyan Mobli's (CyanogenMod developer) working port of ICS (Google's latest version of its mobile OS Android) running on his HTC Sensation phone. There are still som kinks to sort out, but I do hope there will be an public alpha release before Christmas. Or else I might sell my Sensation and pick up a Galaxy Nexus, despite the not-that-impressive hardware specs. Seriously though, the Sensation is the most beautiful phone I've ever owned. And while I wish that wouldn't matter, it really does.

LastPass Premium

I'd say that next to Dropbox, LastPass is my absolute favourite webservice. It helps me keeping tabs of all my login information, only having to remember one single password. Well, at least in theory. Since you need a premium subscription to use the service on your phone, I've enjoyed the simplicity of the free version on my computer, while still dealing with easy-enough-to-remember-but-still-pretty-secure password on my cell phone. But since the premium subscription is only $12 a year, I don't know why I still haven't paid for it, but at least that makes for a perfect gift.

Canon PowerShot S100/S95

What now? I previously stated that I'm not a photo nerd, and still I want an expensive compact camera aimed at the real no-other-life photo enthusiasts? Yeah, I'm a sucker for tech. And I do like to take photos, which i prefer doing on quality hardware rather than with my not-that-bad-overall-but-still-shitty smartphone (actually, I'm tired of having to add trendy software filters to make the pictures look decent) or any other half-decent cheap-o compact camera that's gonna feel like acient crap in a year or two. I do know how to properly handle a DSLR camera, but the size just isn't worth the bother.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Ice Cream Sandwich

So yeah, I'm really a sucker for tech. Every year, when Google's about to release a new version of their smartphone OS Android, they team up with a cellphone maker to provide the hardware made for all their latest innovations, showcasting a clean version of the OS. That means, no bloaty TouchWiz or HTC Sense. Just clean, beautiful, pure android experience. Well, I've never really felt any strong urge for any of these, but this time it's a killer. Not really because of the hardware, I mean - it's great, but not the greatest. No, it's all because of the beautiful design and full integration with ICS.

I'm not really sure where you can get it from just yet, but you can check out Google's official Nexus-site.

So I've finally made it to Berlin (actually, that was last wednesday). Not sure what's going to come out of this, but I think I like it so far.

The picture is showing the hallway to the street door. We actually have new, working post boxes with actual locks, no idea why they kept the old ones as well.
