How long does your baby sleeps?

As much as I know and what I could read, my baby sleeps for 10 - 14 hours.

Naps are crucial to the little one as they grow and the development of their growth depends on the amount of sleeps too.

She sleeps just about everywhere when she was a couple of months old. We can just lay her down on her stroller, benches, even with loud noises at the mall. She finds it peaceful.

But of course nowhere is better than her own bed at home. The look of her inner peace gives it away. She has a grumpy look usually when shes sleeping outside. Probably wanting to see more but just too exhausted to open her little eyes anymore.

She usually wakes up at 8 - 9am in the morning, playing a little and have her lunch by 12. When clock strikes 1pm, we try to put her to bed and she gets up by 430pm. I believe that's the nap time she's doing now.

Shes 16 months now.

Getting a Passport for your Toddler

Who knew getting a passport done for my daughter wasn't that hard afterall.
She was about 6 months here;

Had plenty of sleeps together to make sure the photo turn out good. By the way we thought we needed to take our own passport photo, so we did.

Ended up knowing that the Immigration department has a special counter for toddlers / elderly / pregnant women to handle our case. Yup they have their camera ready for a digital shoot so you don't have to take your own.

Boy the hassle of getting that image was a little of struggle, because of her hair we had to clip it up and thanks to the kind hearted immigration lady she loan us a clip.

Since we did it over at Immigration Sri Hartamas, we then went over to Publika for a meal and came back in an hour to collect her passport. Simple as ABC.

Whenever your wife has to go for a check up, be there for her. Articles that I read suggest that we should be with our wife as much as possible during this 9 month.

Our gynea told us one very important factor in life when the little one comes to this world, that is to make sure you live the life that you use to. It doesn't mean that we should go out teh tarik'ing with our buds every night or going for happy hour like the baby thing didn't happen.

He meant for us to find time to do something we use to do before. So what I did?

Home entertainment yo! The only thing that gets us father excited is gadget! The JBL SB150 is pretty awesome enough. Not like I can get a canggih one and blast it right? Wife's gonna go "LOWER IT DOWN LA PLS".. Ya so let's save ourselves and enjoy something good with quality yet subtle home entertainment.

Why I got this instead of other soundbar? Wireless Sub-woofer and it's cheaper than any other soundbar from Sony, Samsung, Philip, Panasonic, etc..

It's time to sit back and relax with some nice clean music or maybe some ABCs rhyme, hmm..

If you haven't already been to one this would enlighten and bring you insights of what you should prepare for.

1. YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO ONE

One of the famous baby expo out there is the one with the afro baby or TCE baby expo. So as long as you heard of this one, then you are in the safe zone.

2. KNOW WHERE IS THE EVENT

I went to their expo 3 - 4 times and my very first mistake was I parked at Gardens. Carrying all the stuffs back and forth from Mid Valley to Gardens parking is no joke. I made 3 rounds and I was already exhausted.

Parking at Mid Valley is a bitch during these expos. Hence I ended up parking at Gardens Zone U. Mummys will go ballistic over this event because the diapers is selling at RM1 cheaper. So ya bear with it.

If you think 10am is early, you are wrong. Some parents go at the wee hours (3am - 6am) to line up for some crazy shits. One that I know of is the food hydrator that costs thousands and for the first few its only RM250. If I were you, persuade your wife to get one from Lazada at RM125. Cheaper and save you Sleeps!

3. CLEAR YOUR CARD OWINGS

Because you'll need to fill it back up again.

You'll be reminded of this picture and me when you are there because you'll be doing this like a never ending dejavu.

The first time wasn't that bad for me (because it was still early), as the expo gets nearer to your babys birth day you'll know what I mean.

Its very personal but the first few round I spent thousands buying necessary items such as baby cot, baby diaper cupboards, wardrobes, mummy's breasts pump (if you can don't get manual because if they ask you to help pump, you'll die), diapers, tub matte (if you are chinese, you'll definitely have a red tub but it needs a matte or else your baby is gonna go ice skating in there), pillows for the cot, smelly pillow (yes we have one, baby needs one too).

Any many more things you'll end up buying.

4. WEAR A FUCKING COMFORTABLE SHOE

Never in my life I hung out at a mall from 10AM to 10PM (doesn't count when I used to work for Studio R selling shoes).

So wearing a comfortable walking shoe that doesn't kill your heels is a must. In my case I love my PUMA Blaze Of Glory X Careaux. In fact you'll see me wearing it a lot if im in the mall these days.

So there you go, be prepared.

It may seem simple but a pre-baby photoshoot is a must. If you've got no budget, do it on your own and if you do hire, a professional would be ideal. Anyhow JUST DO IT!

2. BABY SHOWER

The queen and her friends are number 1. Put your shit behind if you have anything else planned for because if this is not done, you may just end up sleeping on the sofa - for endless nights.

3. SHORT GETAWAYS

Every now and then there is so much stress between you and your wife, you'll need to take her for a short vacation. She has to carry additional weight of the baby and the emotional stress plus hormone changes, since she can't go for massages no more, this would calm things down a little.

It's been 5 months since the little one came to this world that made us miss her every single moment when she's not with us.

The moment she was born and me being there to cheer for my wife making sure she didn't give up, was a breath taking moment. A day that I'll cherish and respect all women for going through this day.

Little J has prolong jaundice which took her 2 months to get rid of. She even had to stay over for phototherapy at the hospital where both of us couldn't be with her. That night felt like the loneliest time of our lives. We shed tears together missing the little one as she was only a couple of days old.

She grew stronger day by day and got out of jaundice after a long 2 months. We were so engrossed with her health we never knew the hair was the spotlight of the little one.

It kept growing and as Chinese believes that we should shave the baby's first born hair but then again she had hair so we decided to trim a little instead.

I couldn't imagine if we shaved her hair how would she look like now but we are glad that we didn't . A little after a month or two we introduced the little one to the world.

Not the whole world but Sunway Pyramid rather. Her first ever mall to visit. Then again she was probably sleeping most of the time in her cozy carrier.

At 2.5 months she had a full grown hair and she starts to become the spotlight of every where we go.

And at 3 months she became a superstar. To a point whenever we pushed her on her little stroller everyone starts to stare at her and then back at us. Somehow she attracts middle eastern folks as most of them loves taking pictures of her. Some even asked if they could carry her.. It's big no no of course.

Most would shout about the hair and some would do a hand gesture of how her hair poofed.

Sometimes the attention is so overwhelming, we just couldn't help it and turned the stroller facing us, and boy she didn't like it at all. Cried all the way until we flipped her back.

At 4 months she's a veteran at shopping malls. Not to mention us the parents who knows how important the nursery room is and surprisingly most malls has clean and cozy facilities. Gardens at mid Valley is one our favorites.

Her poofed hair as she turns 4 months on the dot. She starts to explore her own fingers more now.

And then she turns 5 months old today. Hairs still poofing, beginning to hold the baby bottle by herself and her neck muscle is almost 100% develop.

9 months has gone by so quickly.

Thank god we went through 9 months without any complications and that my wife did very well throughout the whole 9 months.

Our little one came to us during the wee hours in the morning which I think its good. No traffic, no queue, no need to panic, given the priority needed.

I went into the labour room and cheered together with the nurses in support to the mother who needed a great pat on the shoulder. From what i've seen, I learned to respect women even more and especially my wife who gave birth to our little one.

Just one day after my birthday you are the greatest present to me, welcome to the world Jesslyn.

We love you heaps.

Woke up to a beautiful day at Ximending and decided to walk around and hunt for breakfast. Weather was nice and chilly and it wasn't raining so it was a perfect day for a hot cup of coffee.

We stumble upon this little cafe upstairs, cozy enough for the two of us and since it's somebody's cafe, why not. The ambiance was so good that our picture can portray the exact same feeling.

Yup it felt like that.

As we chat away and waited for our breakfast while the cafe is occupied by us, a lovely group of young teenagers came and joined the serenity of this cafe. With a little of Hong Kong accent coming out from them, it reminded us a little bit about Hong Kong. Now I miss Hong Kong.

The next day started with rain and actually it rained almost any other day. We brought the rain! Then again nothing can stop us from going out. With the cold and a hot cup of oyster noodle is just a perfect combi.

We moved to Midtown Richardson which located just across the Ximending night market which tells me that everytime we go out and reach back, there is a night market to stop by. Gosh.

It was free and easy so we decided to take the train for that farthest we can and hitch a bus ride to the Fisherman's Wharf and to the Lovers Bridge.

It was so funny, the wind was so strong that our umbrella flipped. With the strong wind and cold, we had to use whatever we can to shelter ourselves and cross over that bloody bridge. Haa.

Stopped by their local mart and got ourselves hot taiwan sausage and sweet potatoe.

Tamsui station was the last stop where we took a bus ride, so once we head back to town we decided to explore around. Sadly because of the rain, many stalls were closed.

Met this aunty who was so friendly, I think shes the friendliest unfamiliar Taiwanese we ever known. Since the weather was so cold, she offered us so much of ginger tea with all sorts of flavour. It was so good we bought quite a few bags from this women.

She was so genuinely helpful, she even took our heavy shopping bags and kept inside her stall. She said you come back and take, now you have a cup of hot tea and go walk around.

She didn't look took fishy so we said Ok. When we came back, she quickly made a few more cup of hot tea as the weather was really cold.

Got back to Ximending and hey it's supper, let's try their KFC. Thought it would be great to have a familiar taste but hey their KFC tasted really flat. No spices nothing, and their ketchup is not as tasty as ours either.

But interesting to know that they have egg tart and load of fries that comes in their set.

We had BBQ at Hutong at the heart of Taipei City. Was a great combination as it was raining and it was freezing cold. After crossing over from malls to malls, we finally get to warm ourselves.

After that? Crossing back malls to mall to W Hotel for drinks.

Day 2 in Taiwan - Food, Raohe Market

This is the only hotel i've ever stayed in that serves McDonald's breakfast and served right at your door step. How cool is that?

So we all gathered at the lobby to hunt for more food outside, the Taiwanese roti canai for breakfast is a must. Mine is with bacon, egg and onions.

So after a quick light meal, we took a stroll around and realized Sogo Zhongxiao Fuxing is just around the corner. We had plans for an early "night" market shopping so we head down to Raohe next.

Since we were a little too early, we stopped by at a random beef noodle shop. Hey that's what they say if you are in Taiwan, you gotta eat beef noodle no matter what. So beef noodles it is.. to kill some time.

and the leg cramping, heel pain and heavy plastic bags begins. haa.

Taiwan Day 1 - arrival, via hotel zhongxiao, mala hotpot & Taipei 101 tower

8 March 2016 was the day we have been anticipating for months and finally it was the day of departure. We have never been to Taiwan and that marks of our travel check list. It took us to long to decide as we both can't really converse in mandarin.

Our breakfast each time we fly somewhere is always Mc'Donalds! -- without fail.

It was about 4 hour flight and it has been a pleasant one. Took a one hour bus ride to the town and checked into Via Hotel Zhongxiao

After when we settled down, it's time to look for our friends who were already there. First meet up was with the whole gang at a famous hot pot restaurant.

Thanks to Jenny who helped us ordered a delicious mixture of meat and seafood altogether. We were stuffed, like really stuffed. When we were about done, I found another plate filled with meat. Gosh.

It was a casual first day, so after meal we stroll around the city of Taipei and manage to get a glimpse of the famous Taipei 101.

I realized every year there must be a month of Penang. The land of food and the land of Asam Laksa, Fried Kuey Teow satisfaction. Not to mention meeting good old friends who brings us around for the best food, drinks and of course the trend coffee in town.

This is us visiting one of the new hipster cafe Macallum Connoisseurs, Penang. It's huge. Biggest compared to any cafes in KL.

It was one of those unusual days where we decide to go on a trip and it actually happens. While cracking that crab shell up, we were hungry monsters chewing away that big chunk of crab meat at Crab Factory SS2, the girlfriend burp out and say let's go Penang and eat eat eat!

3 of us looked up with crab meat dangling while grasping really hard on that claw, and said YESSSSS!

Guess what? We did it! The sound of a rooster early in the wee morning with birds chirping away only to know it was the alarm that was waking us up. It was a phone call for these two sleepy heads as they got home pretty late last night.

Still drowning with alcohol, Xiang quickly jumped out of bed while me and the girlfriend spied on pop. *Clicks* his room light turns on. It was a sign of relief for the both of us, we sigh.

Slurping our hot cup of latte in a chilly China house is all we need. Sound of the door creepily opened and came in these two unfamiliar Penangites but friendly faces Earnest and Abbie.

Having the best moment of our lives under the tree of nature we decided to roam around the busy yet famous Armenian street. The world buzzing about the mural paintings as we gently sat behind the little children's bicycle while the shutter expert shoots away with confidence.

The uncle warming up his little shop just outside of Hock Ban Hin kopitiam where he serves delicious fried kuey teow. Exhaustion came by us quickly as the scorching sun burns through our flesh but couldn't stop this dear girl friend of mine looking joyful while mesmerizing the photos we took earlier.

As Xiang maneuver through our half cup of icy cold drink he quickly graps pop's camera, without hesitating a single second as Xiang pushes the On switch, we were already ready.

Ahh it's been a while since I've been to this space to share bits and pieces of my busy life.

It was one of those days where I had to hook myself online and started stumbling upon loads of stuff from automobile parts to shirts.

Shirts for men? A rather rare sentiments by all men to shop online. I know I can't buy anything online that is to put on.

www.vcenzo.com is where google lead me to. What's disappointing about the site is that it doesn't ship to Malaysia. It's only available in Singapore however I've got an address to drop this classy looking cloth to.

Took me awhile to get my hands of it as it has to be brought back to Malaysia, but hey good stuff have to wait they all said. I'm actually impressed with the whole experience. The magnetic lid opens up gently folding to the top as though I was unboxing a new macbook.

So today I got up excitedly while yawning and continued with my usual routine with the difference of having a new piece of shirt. Fired up the baby and warmed it up for 2 minutes and head on to my first meeting.

The light fabric leaning towards my body gives a cool feeling as though it was chilly in this ever hot country.

PUMA Forever Faster Launched Worldwide!

Today marks the day of a brand new look for Puma. #ForeverFaster Campaign is launched worldwide and I was there to witness it at Berjaya Times Square, KL Malaysia.

Melvin Siew, the country manager for Malaysia officiated the launch by dropping down the curtain revealing a high wall for patrons to challenge themselves. If you think you can get up there, go ahead and try it out as it will be there until this Sunday (10 Aug 2014) from today onwards.

How did I do with the wall? Got a loose knee, so I cannot climb. Haaaaaaaahaha :P
Nonetheless I've met great people around like Cailin, Weewern and smashpop.

So if you are ever in KL, don't forget to drop by Times Square and test the wall out. Cheers!

Universal Studios Part 2

It wasn't very big but hey we were exhausted to the very end.

And because we made it that far, the gf deserves a trophy.

We end our trip with a whole lot of potatoes :D Winnie joined us for dinner and we had a little bit of desserts that night too. The next day we went for a quick dim sum, simple shopping and back to Malaysiaaaa!

Guess who has a trophy toooo? Haha.

Universal Studios Singapore

Whoaaaaa super abandoned blog posting here. Nevertheless this event took place between 9 May 2014 - 12 May 2014. Our very first time into Universal Studios which we were always comparing it with our Legoland that I don't think we will ever go haaaaha.

The first impression is the most important and yeah it kinda has that out of the Malaysia / Singapore look and feel. Pretty much like Disney HK which is of course way better experience. Why? It was 18 degrees come on :D

That's us taking all sorts of photo together. Minionsssss... lol look at the minions by the window.

The best ride of the day, Transformers! It was awesome, awesome, awesome and awesome! The queue was about 30mins which is quite bearable. I'm sure you hear from everyone that Transformers was the best during their Universal Studio experience, yeah they are right!

Then the whole Jurassic Park moment was pretty epic too. The entrance tells it all! Only thing missing was the jeep. If only they have those driving us around haaa! *Lol to that dude behind looks like he's gonna get eaten by a T-Rex.

We were just in time for the parade and was at the right spot. At the very front of the entrance where the parade starts. I suggest you to stand there too because every one of those cartoon characters will smile with you when you do a selfie.. except for the T-rex tho.. mmmm..

Night Safari, Singapore

Its been way too long since I last came here, The Night Safari.
And it never changed a bit, or maybe a little bit. The lion may be a bit different from the one before but its still a lion :P

And then The Creatures of The Night Show... is still the same show!

Anyway it was still a great experience and it was still enjoyable to be there.
