1. Some part of the game feels like it’s still in beta like the navigation of your crew members is sometimes hard to select them when they are in the small room, you cannot “select all” crew members at the same time and etc.
2. The game can be cheated easily by visiting previous planets/navigation points that you had visited previously and re-complete the mission, I had maxed out all the science and tactical skills of all my members in the “Zombie Russian” mission in MARS.
3. The tutorials did not go deeper in explaining the “AMMO Token” have to be manually activated to charge and mechanic on how the Weapon mini game works exactly, making it frustrating in the beginning

Overall, this game is great for people who love space simulation strategy games but can be further improved in future versions like bigger galaxy, bigger battle, launching drones, attack specific parts of enemy space ship for strategic advantage and more.

However, this game hits the mark for the fun factor and engaging story lines that can be different for each “decision” you had chosen in the game.

It’s an addictive game and it’s hard to put down for a long period of time …until you ran out of lives.

Overall, the applications feels like a good alternative to paper version of magazines however I experienced some random stability issues even using WIFI connection.

There’s more that can be achieved on digital media if you use iBook author to change existing magazines into full interactive magazines utilising all the sensors of iPad & iPhone like accelerometer, voice, touch, multi-touch and GPS to enhance the experience.

Although there’s some video, audio and links found in the magazines but the overall feeling of the magazine still feels slightly static & almost the same as the paper version.

The loading of the magazine thumbnails sometimes also made the process slow to a pace that’s not acceptable in today’s standards of iOS applications, maybe a progress bar with % completion of loading can help with the waiting.

I’m wondering if Apple is watching this space as it’s almost clear as day that magazines & books are prime targets for Apple’s iAds advertising integration.

Overall, digital publishing have to continuing innovate to capture the first real fully functional interactive & entertaining magazine on the iPad & iPhone.

3. I’m not sure about the balancing in the game is good or not, it seems to me some players have more advantage over others based on their research add on & weapon upgrades.
4. When players are disconnected, sometimes the game continues without any opponents left in zone control
5. iPod 4G and iPad1 are not supported.

Overall, I like the game enough to play it when I’m free however due to the unbalance nature of the game it’s kind of hard to compete with advanced players with great upgrades and enhancements making it a little frustrating yet satisfying if you manage to kill the advance players.

Cons

1. The game center notification can be distracting for some, I had turned off the notification sound for game center just to avoid distraction, I hope there’s a option to consolidate notifications to notify me only at a certain time
2. You can turn off in-app purchase if you are afraid of buying coins accidentally by your kids by going into settings -> General -> Restrictions -> Enable Restrictions -> Toggle Off In-App Purchases
3. After a few hundred games, the game will get insanely repetitive.

Overall, as a free game it’s good to play for a while until the next free game comes along

1. I can’t find this game on my iPad 3rd Gen, maybe it’s iTunes or maybe it’s a not released for the iPad I’m not sure but usually iPhone games can be used on iPad right?
2. The “help” section is a little too text based instead of interactive assistance or graphical to better explain the mechanics of the game.
3. Some of the short abbreviation like FP (Friendship points), EP (Energy) and more can be better explained if you can overlay an popup when you touch on them with information on what’s EP, FP and etc.
4. It’s kind of repetitive after awhile as you need to gather more pets to feed and evolve making it a grinding game even thou you know it’s going to be more & more challenging in the further quest & trials
5. I wish to fight human players instead of AI, I wondered if there’s a chance to fight other “teams” of pets owned by human players and get stones by winning human players.

Overall, this game as a free to play game with in-app purchase is great as you don’t really need to buy the magic stones as you can get them by completing challenges which can be challenging but it may be too repetitive if there’s no multiplayer vs option.

Note: This game is not compatible with iPhones with 3GS or lower systems.

You can also challenge your friends using game center, see how far your friends goes with ghost cars beside your car while playing.

1. The game gets repetitive after a while
2. After getting all the cars, you may be tempted to buy in-app purchase for other cars using real cash
3. The game center challenges will get annoying after a while, yes you can turn it off at Settings -> Notification ->Game Center however I don’t want to turn it off completely as other games does use the same notification which I need to be alerted. I hope the developer can consolidate notification and send one per day.

Overall, this game is definitely a must have for casual time wasting for a short burst of entertainment with head throbbing music and easy yet challenging game play.
