I've known this website for more than a year already and I've used it to check on the ratings of web hosting services online. My Address Is...

When I was little I never knew what number our lot was. We never had any address sign on our gate. A few years back mother decided to inquire about it then have the number put up our gate. That's when I realized our street is half the number of our lot. It's an ominous number as well. I mean that street.

The address numbers are in gold but it's hard to tell since they are placed on cement with ridges. Perhaps it might be a good idea to get an address plaque. One that can contrast to the gold numbers to make it stand out more.

I started searching through the net (I like shopping online especially for items I can’t get in the local vicinity) and I found this website JustAddressPlaques.com selling all kinds of address plaques. I looked through home address plaques and found the Whitehall address plaques. There was one particular address sign I like from that search list and found a perfect one for our house.

Christmas is so near and everybody's so busy with buying gifts for their loved ones. Back then when I was still a student, I would think of cute stuff to give to my friends. But now that most of us are already working and have very interesting jobs (most of my high school batch mates took up nursing so most of them are now nurses) it is interesting to give them adult items or items that they can use for work.

I've thought about buying online as gifts for a very long time already and as I was browsing through the net, I stumbled upon BlueSkyScrubs where they sell nurse uniforms. You can see at their homepage interesting designs of scrub clothing and accessories. I love their cotton scrub hats with different patterns and a burst of colors! Check it out for yourselves. My Own House Someday...

I wonder what it's like to own a house.. or a mansion. Or some really cool house! A futuristic house with retina scanners for access. And some sleek dining area, living room, study room, automated library.

I want a sleek comfortable bedroom. Probably ebony and ivory and some aqua-brown highlights or something watery-earthy. And a huge bathroom with a round shower area without crystal. Just an open space. Water comes from the top, center of the circle. Then a walk-in closet with some nice clothes. Red rose petals on the bed.

Imagine that glass house Yahoo featured last time. Except the external walls aren't all glass. Maybe two-way mirrors? I dunno.

I want the house somewhere quiet yet accessible to almost all comforts of a city. Sub-urban perhaps? Or somewhere like my current residence.

Or perhaps somewhere in the valley? Maybe Paradise Valley Real Estate?

I've been to this site a few times and tried out its features. Repairpal.com is a great online cars repair system to assist you with your car problems. For example, you'll need a brake job.

All you have to do is click on Estimate and a form will pop up where you can input what car model you have then enter what type of repair job you'll need and it will provide you all the details you'll need for your car.

The thing is, it's only for US cars. But the good part is you can search your car model, like Chevrolet Silverado. (I've always wanted a Chevrolet!) Basically every car model released and sorted by year. You can see the common diagnoses, best practices and common symptoms of a specific problem for that specific car.

If you need to know repair shops near your area, all you have to do is go to directory. An example would be Dallas repair shop. It will then list you with shops including ratings and comments from people who joined Repairpal.com.

Why not try going there? It's www.repairpal.com. It's basically free.

General Clean Up

I gotta clean up this place again soon. My website's been hacked and I need an outlet to let loose my imagination. Run wild in the Internet open! Ok.. Or I could probably create another personal blog and start fresh. No monetary stuff for my blog. I don't have time for that.

Hmm.. I guess I'll stick to this blog for a while. But I gotta revamp. Spring cleaning~ spring cleaning~ (Rocko's Modern Life, hehe!)

Anyway, I still have lots of work to finish. I'll get back to this once I'm done with work. Until August 9.

Somebody Forgot to Turn Off the Fan

It's the second time this occurred to me.

I woke up to the chill of the air caused by the fan at around 3 in the morning. The first taught I had while I turned it off (I did so because I find it still cold after the rain subsided probably when I was still asleep) was, "Somebody forgot to turn off my fan before leaving, again."

I don't know how this happens but I'm very, very sure I do not sleepwalk, I did not turn on my fan because it was raining before I fell asleep and found it too cold, and the door is still locked.

Who knows? It could be my brother went in using the key, found the place too hot to move around so decided to turn on the fan then got the thing he needed and left without turning off the fan but remembering to lock the door. But he never snoops in my room that I won't wake up to.

Another possibility could be something I dread to think of. My room could be haunted. But, as far as I'm concerned, it's not.

So, how could have this been done? I don't want to find out anymore. It would be best to just leave it be and let the mystery linger in my room.

Fall in Love with Argentine Tango

Argentine Tango is hot, hot, HOT! I like HOT dances. Especially Latin dances. This tango got me hooked to it. Couples Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace from Strictly Come Dancing (I don't think we have a channel that shows this in the Philippines, but thanks to YouTube for that.) dance Argentine tango as sexy (or sleazy, according to Nigel Lythgoe) as it can get. Both move smoothly and have great technique. Never have I felt any awkward moment when watching them dance this. It's just fun to watch with all the stunts they do but I love their foot work. They're really good at it.

Look at those shoes Flavia Cacace is wearing. Dancing with those shoes.. is insane! But I do know that most Latin dancers like high-heeled shoes because it's easier for them to dance only on their toes. (Not tiptoe like ballerinas.) But still, if I were to dance on them, I'd probably break the heels. =D

Anyway, watch this dance and fall in love with them. I wouldn't post it here if I didn't fall in love with it.

It's my birthday! (Is it 12 midnight already? If so, yay!) Ok, so it's not something to crazy about but I'm older by a year~ 2009 is going to be a different year. I swore not to slack this year and to save, save, save! I need money. I need money to travel to the places I want to go to. Having said that, let's get back to my birthday.

I Finally Found Work!

Yesterday I submitted my requirements for the job I applied for. I'm not sure what my job title will be yet but I'm gonna be in the MIS department of the Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation. It is a Non-Government Organization in the Visayas region and is the 2nd among the microfinance institutions in the Philippines.

If it weren't for one of the panel judges during our thesis defense I still would be bumming around the house. I wouldn't have known they were hiring another person to be part of their department to replace one of their members who will be moving to another department.

I like the fact that every time I go the office (which I will be in on Monday xDD) I feel light and calm.. I don't get tense or nervous when walking in there. I also know a few people who I've met in my high school. One of which is part of the MIS department. He's my teacher in grade school. Now he's going to be my officemate. Time does fly fast.

I'm glad mother bought me some clothes yesterday. She said they're my birthday gifts. She also bought me a shritdress last week saying that was my birthday gift. How generous of my mother to give me lots of birthday gifts!xDD But then again she's just happy I will finally have work.

My "mama" (Bambam) is alo very happy and very proud of me. I made both mothers happy..o_o Well, that's a good thing I guess.

I think my first salary won't be all mine..@__@ Mom and dad want treats from me. My cousin also wants a treat from me. I owe mom a few thousand. I owe my group a few thousand as well. I want to treats my bestfriends (don't bring your guys please!!@__@) and I need to buy a few things for the house (new frying pans and all because some of ours here are really old and rusty).

Goodbye, o first salary~ Rest in peace. Oh wait, I don't have it yet..>___>

What is LeapFish, first of all?

Click on the link to find out what it is. It's actually a search engine that shows results instantaneously. You can no longer find the "search button" because all you do is type what you're looking for and the bottom part of the page simply refreshes as you type. I think the programmers used AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) in this and for that I applaud them.

Also, while you're typing you'll notice a drop-down list of possible terms you are searching for. If you've forgotten what you're looking for or you're not sure of the spelling, all you need to do is type the first letter or probably first three letters then you can scroll down on the list and look for the word or words you need.

If you've checked out LeapFish you can see at the top Google, Yahoo and MSN. You can choose from those search engines where you want the results to come from. No need to go to those websites.

What I really like the most with LeapFish is its interface. You type what you're looking for and the results are being sorted out by categories. There's the general web results, blog results, on the sides the news results, video results, images, even shopping and Yahoo Answers. No need to do a lot of clicking just to get the results you want!

The New Year Gives Us the Chills

This is the first time I've ever experienced a really cold weather at the start of the year. Or at least the first time I noticed it. It's hard for me to wake up early in the morning because when the cold air hits your skin it makes you wanna sink in your bed some more and laze off the whole day. I feel like I'm a grizzly bear hibernating.

I'm fine with the cold weather. The winds are strong though. They make loud whistling sounds and make you think you're in a haunted place. It's as if we're having a storm signal 1 or something but you could see outside that it's a little bright and there's no rain.

The thing I hate about the cold is that it sucks all the energy out of me. My hands and feet are all chilled up as though I live in a fridge. I'm not food or something here. x__x And I want to go in the microwave already! I wanna thaw.

Woot! We're Gonna Dance Again

I'm listening to the song right now and it sounds cool. It makes me excited to dance this. Woot! I'm not sure what lyrical hip hop is (I haven't had any lyrical hip hop dance lessons before) but I saw some of its moves in YouTube. It looks smooth~ (Woohoo!!xDD I want, I want, I want!) I can't wait for the group to meet! Wee~

Simone Legno Is My Inspiration

Simone Legno is what I see myself to be. I mean his career as a famous Illustrator. If you don't know him, he's the owner of Tokidoki. (Do visit the website for more info about him and his creation.)

I have already decided on what path of life to take. I know I will be happy with it. I want to become a digital artist. An illustrator at that. I am already doing chibi commissions, at first just to fund my online splurges, but just before the year 2009 came, I decided to make it my main career. (Good luck to me with that!)

At first I didn't know what art I would offer the world but when I saw this guy (credits to Facebook, I can't believe it x_x), I finally saw a clear path to my goal.

Now I only need to step it up a notch. One of my projects for this year is a 2010 calendar. (Hopefully I will be able to reach my 2009 goal.) I'll probably start conceptualizing it now. Hehe.

EDIT: OH. Yeah, I forgot. Happy new year to all!!^__^ This blog won't be as active as it used to be (when I was posting sponsored posts).

On Godsons and Splurging

That's my godson. He's laughing his head off. Ok he's cute. He grew up to be a healthy toddler. And he looks handsome for a kid. His birthday's coming. I still need to buy a gift.

On the other news, I splurged again. I hate this. I hate it when I have money with me and I see boutiques. Oh please get them out of my sight!@__@ But I think it's good investment at times. I rarely splurge. I do save up so I can splurge. Haha! I do earn what I spend though (plus allowance from father because it is so xDD).

I'm a caveman when it comes to taking pics using digital camera. All of the pics I took were blurry but some were fine. Here's one:

Oh well, I'm off to work on my next layout for my blog. Been a while since I last touched this darned thing.

UPV - CM Play Festival

I'm excited to watch the play festival in UPV (University of the Philippines - Visayas)! Bambam asked me to make the designs for the ticket and promotional sticker. Here is the promotional sticker:

The theme is Tik Tak (the sound of the clock) meaning it has something to do with time. There will be 5 plays all in all because each batch will be presenting the play they have prepared. Tickets are at only Php40.00 if you're interested to watch. The place is going to be air-conditioned so it will be comfortable.

Z's Are Going to Dance!

I have the coolest friends ever! Imagine, we've been together for 8 years! We should have an award for that. Seems like I can't imagine my life without them in the future. I bet that would never happen anyway.. 'cuz I'll bug them or make plans to meet and stuff and all.

We actually decided to join a dance contest for our high school's alumni homecoming on December. We only have less than 2 months to choreograph, practice and prepare. Will we be able to make it? With just the 4 of us, we can probably do it. But the thing is, we have other group mates. They're also our batch mates. (We're not sure yet how many we are exactly.)

See the catch is, we want to win the P25,000.00 cash prize. If it's only the 4 of us, we can put it in our group's fund and save it for our future plans of traveling together around the world and stuff. Even if we have other members, we don't mind splitting the money. But the thing is, we want to be sort of serious about the dance. And it seems that the other members might be contributing ideas which we are not really up for. But then, we were just invited by them and it seems evil to separate from them and steal the limelight.

(It's funny that the 4 of us actually have the same selfish plans of having our group separate from the other members and enter as another group.xDD)

But anyway, we do hope that things would be smooth and we could hopefully win something. After all, our real goal is to be able to exercise and slim down with dance. Muhahahahaha! Go Z's!
