Taken just as thunderclouds rolled overhead:

I was a bit worried about how this would turn out originally, as capturing the three-dimensional feel of clouds on film (so to speak) is quite challenging. As an antidote, I waited until there was a very clear contrast between different areas of clouds.

This was taken during a bit of a rainstorm at about nine at night from a (rather deserted) beach facing west. Yes, there are west-facing beaches on the East Coast.

I took this picture near a friend’s house, he didn’t really know what it was for, either, and it was kind of in the middle of nowhere, which struck me as odd. Then it occurred to me that someone must have felt quite strongly about whatever it was that this meant to them.
