While the iPhone 4 is still booming in the market, Apple had launced the new iPod Touch with their great new features. It’s almost like an iPhone 4 without the phone. It’s thinner, it has digital camera on the back and the front, it has retina display, and many more.

Digital Camera

With the built-in digital cameras on the front and the back, now you can make a video call with FaceTime. The front camera has been tuned for FaceTime, it will automatically adjust for the right field of view and focal length to focus on your face at arm’s length. So it always presents you in the best possible light. The video call can be made between the new iPod Touch or between the new iPod Touch and iPhone 4 over Wi-Fi.

Retina Display

Developing pixels a mere 78 micrometers wide to pack four times the number of pixels close together into the same size screen — 326 per inch — make graphics and text look smooth and continuous at any size. In fact, the pixel density is so high your eye is unable to distinguish individual pixels. Which means images in games, movies, and photos pop off the screen. Text in books, web pages, and email is crisp at any size. And everything is sharper. It also includes LED backlighting and an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen for the best viewing and battery life possible.

There were times when you were sitting behind your desk in your office cubicle. All works are done, or you were just feeling too bored and need a break. Most of the times, you were just playing games online or surf the internet. You would just turned off the volume so that your boss wouldn’t know. But with the complete silence, it also would provoke suspicion. Cause most of the thing you do regarding your work, involve the computer. So you need little sound to give the impression that you are busy.

Facebook has launced his new application called Facebook Places. It’s similar to Foursquare, where you can check-in in the places that you visited and share your locations with your family and friends through Facebook in real time from your mobile device.

When you check in, you can also tag friends who are with you, just as you can tag a friend in a status update or photo. You can post an update along with your check-in to tell people more about what you are doing.

With Facebook Places, you are in control of what you share and the people you share with. You choose whether or not to share your location when you check in at a place. You also have the choice to set more restrictive customized settings.

How to Disable Facebook Places :

1. Log in to Facebook. From Account choose Privacy Setting, then click Customize Settings.
2. Scroll down and find Places I check in to. From here, you can set how you want it to be visible in your Facebook account. Choosing Only Me will disable or it will not sharing any location to anyone.
   Include me in “People Here Now” after I check in will let people know you’re at a particular location via the location’s page or in a search for people near you. Uncheck “Enable” if you don’t want this.
   
3. Any friend could potentially check you in anywhere. You don’t actually have to be there. If you don’t want your friends to check you into Places and share your current location, scroll down to Friends can check me in to Places and set to Disable.
   

So far, Facebook Places only available for US users only with the new version of the Facebook iPhone Application or are accessing the touch.facebook.com. And will become available to everyone over the next few days.

Today UberTwitter has announced via twitter that they had released version 0.988 ready to download. In fact they just released version 0.985 about two weeks ago. There’s not much different from the previous one. No visual changes, just bug fixes.

This post will show you how to backup or restore your BlackBerry. To do that, you must have the latest BlackBerry Desktop Manager installed in your computer. I’ll be using BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6, the latest version at this moment.

• Run the BlackBerry Desktop Manager
• Connect BlackBerry to your computer using cable data
• Wait until BlackBerry connected with the Desktop Manager

How To BACKUP

• Klik Back up now

• Rename the back up to the one that your desire.
• Remember the location of the saved back up.
• Klik Back up.

• The back up process is starting.

Done. Now you have a back up for your BlackBerry. You can use it to restore your BlackBerry data if something goes wrong.

How To RESTORE

• Klik Device (on the upper left) to show the drop down menu, then klik Restore.

• Choose the folder where you kept the back up file
• Select the latest back up file
• Klik Restore

• Klik Yes.

• The restore process is starting
• The restoring process usually takes longer than the backing up.

UberTwitter for BlackBerry has released their latest version 0.985 and now ready to download. This is a total make over with so many new features which is :

• Color theme : They have several choices of color. Now you can use your favorite color for your theme.
• Muted Users : You have followers that spout off so many tweets that not interest you but you can’t unfollow them for some reason, just muted them. Don’t worry, they wouldn’t know.
• ReTweets Of Me : To find out which your tweets are being retweeted. Highlight the tweets and select ‘Retweeted By’ from the menu to see who retweeted it.

• InstaPaper : Save tweets for reading later. You have to create account in Instapaper to use this service.

• Send URLs : If you find an interesting website and you would like to tweet it, just send the URL from any web page in the browser, select ‘Send to Über’ from the menu and it automatically shorten the URL and bring up the compose tweet screen
• Hashtag Picker : When you press the ‘#’ key when composing a tweet, it will bring up the ‘Hashtag Picker’, either pick one that is already saved, or keep typing and press ‘enter’ and we’ll save it for the next time.
• Default Email Recipient : For those who often send out the tweets by email, this feature will save your time. Just add a default recipient in your account options and it will automatically be addressed to them. No need to enter the same email address everytime anymore.
