I wasn't lazy to update, I was just... not armed with the right devices to update my blog. One can imagine how tedious it is to update when you're 600 miles away from home, armed with only the iPad and my ever trustworthy BB Bold. And hey, I have exactly one month to submit my final year project. My progress so far? Proposal. That is like, nothing has been done. Now and then, we see it everywhere, listen to it everyday. Just one question to my dearest readers, do you really care or even paid attention to those phrases? Or you just pass 'em by and pretend that it is all okay?

We can not pretend that the air we're breathing is not getting any better. We can not pretend that the land we're stepping on is getting any cleaner. We can not pretend that the water we're drinking is not getting any purer. Flip the papers everyday and read headlines of natural disaster like it'a routine. Shouldn't we all show a lil' love to Mother Nature?

What is B.Y.O.B?

Mind you. It's not M.Y.O.B and in fact, they both serve totally different meaning. B.Y.O.B stands for Bring Your Own Bottle, a concept detergent store that is promoting the 3R concepts (Reuse, Recycle and Reduce). Now don't get all excited. Not only you can play a role in making mother nature better, you too can save loads of cash while doing your part as a responsible 'green' person. Money. Who wouldn't wanna save more?

Why B.Y.O.B?

Simple. You can fucking make your wallet thicker and make the earth greener.

It's pretty duh huh? Little did you know that we're actually paying millions of dollar (or ringgit) to destroy the world we're living in. Let's say a liter of standard dishwasher will cost you anywhere between RM 5 - RM 6 in any hypermarkets (no names mentioned so I can't be sued). You must be mindfucked to think you can get something that works exactly the same (or even better), smells the same, yada yada for a fraction of the price you pay for a 'branded' washer. Yes you can at B.Y.O.B. Don't be surprised when you're paying anywhere between RM 1 - RM 1.50 for the same shit which will cost you RM 5 - RM 6. Why the low cost? Simple enough. You're actually paying for a brand new plastic bottle, the advertisement, and a whole bunch of sugaaa daddy just to get your dishwasher that is worth RM 1? At B.Y.O.B, there's no hidden cost. To sum up the whole paragraph with one sentence, AT B.Y.O.B, YOU FUCKING PAY FOR WHAT YOU USE.

Meh... it's the time of the year again where all hell breaks loose. I'm talking about the traffic congestion. Imma guessing that there will be tonnes of sardines sandwiching each other at terrains fit for cow feedlot. I don't know if I am right to label them as hypocrites, but just exactly one year, those were the same people telling 2010 to GTFO, and welcomes 2011. It's sucha routine, every goddamn year. Without fail. Period.

So anyway, happy new year and I bet you drunktards are still feeling the aftermath of some crazy x'mas drinking session. Before you could find you footing once more, you will lose it again tonight.

I'm pretty sure plenty of bloggers will blog about their new year resolution and what had happened in 2011. Me, being just another blogger, will do the same... well minus the resolution. God, now I know why my blog isn't that mainstream, my post are as boring as fuck. I'm serious and I'm not happy bout it, but I won't do a shit bout it too.

How did your 2011 went? Mine was pretty eventful minus the fact that my definition of 'eventful' could be different from yours, or completely the opposite. I hate to write a lot, not that my english command is good, so I shall just list them out and maybe fancy-fied it with a picture or two.

1. Earned more from online trading than my previous years. To those who knows me personally, you might already know that I do trading online providing services like buying in foreign currency via paypal, and heck I thought I did quite well this year. Not that I earned thousands, but yea it was good money nonetheless. Social media advertising was kind to me as well, with me recently winning a RM 100 bucks voucher from Says.my, what more can I ask for? And at the same time, Google Adsense robbed me for a total of RM 700 in one month. A fucking RM 700. Why?

2. Gotten myself into a rather expensive (not to all) hobby. Toys. Action Figures. Figurines. Statues. Whatever you call it, they sure will burn a deep hole in your pocket.

3. Gained new experience via my internship stint at The House Projects. Awesome company with absolutely lovely people in it. A good solid 3 months. Thank you Boss.

4. Met a lot of awesome people I must say. Through my action figure collecting hobbies, at work, and also my online trading. Really awesome people. In fact, I just came home from meeting a guy who bought a shirt from me, to his dad. How lovely!

6. I missed 5.

7. I became an uncle. Old now. Really old. But fuck I'm happy.

8. Got an xbox 360, Blackberry Bold 9900 in the space of 30 days. A lot of money saved is equivalent to a lot of money spent. #SadButTrue

9. Increased my blog traffic with a few parody post. I lol-ed.

Went back to my lovely and humble hometown for a week, and I knew it all along I will not blog. My return to the country's capital was indeed a delightful one!

Just came back sitting in front of my laptop after an hour spent with my lovely xbox 360, I stepped into an unknown world of anger, angry facebook people.

Ha! Are you a fast food lover, you know the one that makes you lick your toes? Apparently, they hit the bumps and are headed for a nosedive right off their own shoulder. I don't know if you knew it earlier (I don't actually till someone shared it on my FB wall), KFC tried to emulate what McD has been doing all the while. Giving its' online customers a lil' benefit in the form of vouchers to redeem food or at least at a discounted price.

The most recent one will be the voucher that gives FREE double zinger burger.

Free. Free. FUCKING FREE!

And also not forgetting, it's an instant death blow to KFC Malaysia. Can you imagine, you, yourself giving a fist to your own beautiful face? Well this is what happened. Check out the screenshot below.

Siri means 'serial' in the Malay language. In this case, Siri, the most talked about digital assistance in the year 2011. It is no doubt the most exciting feature to be featured on iOS 5 along with the release of iPhone 4S. With a wonderful and intelligent voice assistance, we're supposed to be grateful, or should we not? There are tonnes of videos that went viral on Youtube showing the 'abuses' that the humans did to their digital counterpart, Siri. I'm pretty sure you were amused by most of them. From understanding the cantonese dialect to fooling around with the Indian accent, the sky is the limit. Siri don't even understand each other at times.

Well, what is something that we, homo sapiens agree on, regardless of our religion, skin color or language? No barriers can keep vulgarity at bay, and the same goes to Siri. Siri too, like any one of us, wants to vent of her anger by fucking the shit outta you at times. You know, like cursing and calling you names when you ask her nonsensical questions. Alienware, PROBLEMS?

I am now typing this post accompanied by the sweet ambiance of loud spinning cooling fans in my laptop

Some of you might have known, that I was one of the very few who actually pre-ordered the first batch of Alienware M15x from Dell Malaysia. There's no reason to be proud of it, but hell I am damn proud of it somehow. It took me a long time to decide on which color, the blazing nebula red or the conventional cosmic black. Never regretted on getting the red one as it is one amazing attention seeker!

Never mind the beast weighing at approx. 5kg, never mind the thick and bulky dimension, never once those features ever bothered me. I was pretty amazed with the cooling fan and the copper heat sink to disperse the heat of the GPU and the processor by putting them straight out through the gigantic (for a mobile device) vents at the back of the beast. The engineering team scored pretty high in my books along with the well designed chassis to unleash an unstoppable beast.

Wear and tear, indeed these two words rhymed really well. In fact, they always work together really well in reality. And now, these two words is working really hard on my cosmic Alienware. It wasn't annoying when the fans started spinning really fast and furious ever since the Alien turned 1, it wasn't annoying when I was getting random blue screen of death (BSOD) even when I was running .doc file. It wasn't annoying too when the CPU usage shot up to 70-80% for no reasons. It wasn't annoying when the fans and heat was running so fast and high as if the laptop is about to take off into Jupiter.

So what annoyed me most?

The GPU stopped working for 5 times in a single start up. Yes, it died out of a sudden, and revived himself (I'm assuming it's a he cause he has got balls to die 5 times) for 5 freaking times. The sixth time was a death blow. The whole screen died in its full glory of 1080p and freaking turned itself into a goddamn retro Atari machine. Or even worse. What's worse, no puns intended, or better than a 8-bit looking beast?

The answer, my foot.

So I decided to give Dell a call, and to spit it all out at one go. As usual, they will lead you to perform a few diagnostics tool to check your system and to identify specifically which hardware is screwing you up. And so I did, and the test results were perfect. Nothing was wrong with my HDD, RAM nor with my GPU. Everything passed their test with flying monochrome colors. The Dell agent that was serving me told me they will replace the GPU and the loud fans and MoBo too if needed, but they will first need me to get the BSOD error code over to them.

My question to him was... How can I control when will the BSOD appear as it only appears on a random basis, and if I know what causes the BSOD, I wouldn't have been clueless when I spoke to him. Wanna guess what his next instruction to me was?

"Mr.Law, try playing more games while running on different anti virus scans along with multiple file uploads and downloads, then try to pray hard that the BSOD will appear. Remember, get us the code of the error so we could conclude what was it that caused the BSOD. We will replace your GPU, MoBo, fans as soon as we got the error code from you. Thank you"

I appreciate the thank you he gave, but how the fuck am I supposed to pray and hope that God will answer my prayers by giving me a BSOD? I don't know bout you, but I'm not convinced with the way he recommended. What's the best way to have the BSOD appearing voluntarily? Any inputs?

Finally I have the time to write a proper post.

I took a long time off posting crappy videos to substitute my lack of commitment in writing, and here I am today to write a little something meaningful. Before I start, let me assure that unlike other bloggers, I don't draft out my writings and they are all 100% unadulterated impromptu write ups.

Since it's the end of November, let me sum up the whole slacking November for you who is reading this post. Many things had happened this November, and I can safely say they are mostly ups and positive events. Events that will change my life forever.

November is the month I am Uncle Nick. Yes, that's right, Uncle Nick. My sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on the 8th of November and I suddenly find myself older! It amazes me that I finally have a niece to bully on! Haha, kidding!

November is the month where my toys and action figure collections went triple in mass. That's hell a lot of plastic. I know I'm not so 'green' in nature, but hey, it has got its own artistic value. I even made a diorama using only recyclable items. other than the paint and wall fillers of course. Will post up a tutorial on how to build your own diorama terrain some other time.

November is also the month where I'm doing my final month as an intern at the most lovely and beautiful office of The House Projects. Don't get me wrong, we don't build houses, we create the most magnificent motion graphics that you see in on your everyday TV commercials. That's right, The House Projects is a video post production house specializing in motion graphics. Though the company is not big, it certainly was a pleasant experience working with my co-workers here. They are highly skilled, and my boss is certainly one of the coolest creative art director I have ever met. Today, 30th November will be my last day in office, and if any of my colleagues ever read this, thank you for taking good care of me for the past 3 months. :)

Anyway, I had a wonderful November, and December is just right ahead! Hope you had a good and eventful one too, and we're one month closer to 2012!

I honestly hope the mayans did screw up their own calendar.
